For breakfast I had spicy eggs which was absolutely delicious. My Dad had a bacon and egg sandwich which he said was lovely. On the second morning we both had bacon and sausage sandwiches which were of an exceptional standard.

Nothing. The room was beautiful and the fittings in all the bathrooms were classic and beautiful. The staff were all incredibly lovely and friendly. Amazing. The owner Harry was incredibly professional and friendly and he even drove my father and me into the local village.

Everything about this place is great but the staff are some of the nicest I've ever come across and I've stayed in so many places around the UK. Great food. We've had dinner and breakfast here. A lovely room and shower room. This is the second time my daughter and I have stayed here when visiting the area and hope to be back again soon.

Maybe black out lining or an additional black out blind in the windows of the rooms facing east? Only a potential issue in the spring/summer and I should probably invest in one of those sleep masks anyway!

From our arrival at the property, the greeting from staff was so warm and friendly. We were looking for a reception desk but Joe greeted us in the bar area and immediately took us to our room. We booked a garden facing room with large bed and it was so spacious. Bathroom was lovely too and plenty wardrobe space for clothes. The garden area is lovely to sit out and have a drink. We were also visiting the Aviation Heritage Centre and that was only about 12-15 minutes drive away. I would definitely visit again. Staff were lovely and a big shout out for Joe who was so helpful.

Lovely location, clean and full of old world charm.

Just a couple of annoying features of the room: it was too hot for me even with radiator turned off. I know I’m a bit of an Eskimo and like the bedroom to be cooler so others may not have a problem; walls seemed very thin so could here movement from next door; there was the sound of a fan or extractor running all night - maybe next door bathroom extractor? None of there will stop me staying again

We are regular visitors to The Leagate. The welcome we received from Olivia, Che and Matt was, as always, was so lovely. The Inn was decorated for Christmas, both inside and out, and it was no surprise when we found that Harry had engaged the services ofa professional team to do the decorations. We can honestly say that the ambience of the property at Christmas time is incredible. Our room was immaculate and Sooo comfortable. We will be staying several times next year but will definitely try to time one of the visits pre Christmas. We enjoyed fabulous food in the evening and the following morning when we were joined by family. The Staff made a real fuss of our 1year old grandson.

This is a really lovely place to stay! Easy to find. Lots of parking. Lovely people. Great room and bathroom. Really good food! The breakfast menu is huge and our food was prepared beautifully by young chef, Freddie. Having now heard about the speciality sharing pies we will definitely be coming back!

Black out blinds as well as curtains would have helped keep the room darker in the morning. But I should probably start travelling with an eye mask anyway!

The inn itself is just lovely, very authentic with lots of original features. Lovely comfortable chairs and a very large outdoor space. Very well kept gardens. The rooms are spacious and the decor is lovely.. The twin room is on the ground floor so great if you have mobility issues, has a huge bathroom with a walk in shower. We had a lovely evening meal and the breakfast was tasty, fresh and plentiful. What makes the whole experience special has to be the friendly, warm, attentive staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend and can't wait for our next visit.

The location is terrific, not too far from Boston, in a quiet out of the way spot. The inn is historic, and the history feels present without feeling out of date. The rooms are up-to-date and comfortable and the food and drink is top-notch. The staff were a particular highlight, all very friendly, personable, and accommodating.

Everything was expectational. The room was a great size, very clean and comfy. Bedding was provided for our dog. Bathroom was very tidy and functional. Staff were very friendly, approachable and passionate about the location. The pub itself was a great location, fantastic food and great service. Fantastic location for couples, family's and anyone with dogs. Lots of space for parking. Will be returning.

A lovely pub/hotel with roaring fires and a warm welcome. Friendly staff and a nicely styled bedroom with a fantastic rain shower.

Disappointed at breakfast to appear to have been forgotten, we did arrive with 30 mins to spare but waited 45 mins for food. Top tip, pre book taxis, if required, well ahead of your visit. Acquiring one on the day is simply impossible. Tried all 4 locally to no avail, midweek! Perhaps a courtesy coach for guests in the immediate area would be an idea for the future, with the possible positive outcome of expanding your repeat customer base.
