Large comfortable and lovely room in excellent decorative order, spotless and clean. Staff always most pleasant and very helpful. A variety of menu choice over our 4 night stay and all meals were well presented, cooked to perfection and plentiful. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again without hesitation.

A very minor point, for me, was the breakfast menu. Although a wide variety of breakfast dishes are available, again, cooked to perfection and well presented, sometimes breakfast need only be a simple affair. Adding a less expensive continental type option could prove popular.

For breakfast I had spicy eggs which was absolutely delicious. My Dad had a bacon and egg sandwich which he said was lovely. On the second morning we both had bacon and sausage sandwiches which were of an exceptional standard.

Nothing. The room was beautiful and the fittings in all the bathrooms were classic and beautiful. The staff were all incredibly lovely and friendly. Amazing. The owner Harry was incredibly professional and friendly and he even drove my father and me into the local village.

Everything about this place is great but the staff are some of the nicest I've ever come across and I've stayed in so many places around the UK. Great food. We've had dinner and breakfast here. A lovely room and shower room. This is the second time my daughter and I have stayed here when visiting the area and hope to be back again soon.

Maybe black out lining or an additional black out blind in the windows of the rooms facing east? Only a potential issue in the spring/summer and I should probably invest in one of those sleep masks anyway!

Service was exceptional and every member of staff we dealt with was lovely. Both the evening meal and breakfast were delicious and great quality food. The room was so nicely decorated, clean and the bathroom in particular was stunning.

The mattress on the bed was rock solid and the springs could be felt, we didn't sleep very well on it. This was the only negative thing about the whole place and experience, but had to be mentioned as it is more than a minor issue that can be easily overlooked.

From our arrival at the property, the greeting from staff was so warm and friendly. We were looking for a reception desk but Joe greeted us in the bar area and immediately took us to our room. We booked a garden facing room with large bed and it was so spacious. Bathroom was lovely too and plenty wardrobe space for clothes. The garden area is lovely to sit out and have a drink. We were also visiting the Aviation Heritage Centre and that was only about 12-15 minutes drive away. I would definitely visit again. Staff were lovely and a big shout out for Joe who was so helpful.

Lovely location, clean and full of old world charm.

Just a couple of annoying features of the room: it was too hot for me even with radiator turned off. I know I’m a bit of an Eskimo and like the bedroom to be cooler so others may not have a problem; walls seemed very thin so could here movement from next door; there was the sound of a fan or extractor running all night - maybe next door bathroom extractor? None of there will stop me staying again

We'd had a very difficult day. On arrival the sign confirming the presence of Timothy Taylor beer made my day. It's my favourite beer. When we got inside, the staff were really welcoming. Got us booked in quickly and showed us to our spectacular room. Very comfortable bed, roll top bath and en suite. In the restaurant we were served quickly and correctly and the food was great.

We are regular visitors to The Leagate. The welcome we received from Olivia, Che and Matt was, as always, was so lovely. The Inn was decorated for Christmas, both inside and out, and it was no surprise when we found that Harry had engaged the services ofa professional team to do the decorations. We can honestly say that the ambience of the property at Christmas time is incredible. Our room was immaculate and Sooo comfortable. We will be staying several times next year but will definitely try to time one of the visits pre Christmas. We enjoyed fabulous food in the evening and the following morning when we were joined by family. The Staff made a real fuss of our 1year old grandson.

We liked everything!

This is a really lovely place to stay! Easy to find. Lots of parking. Lovely people. Great room and bathroom. Really good food! The breakfast menu is huge and our food was prepared beautifully by young chef, Freddie. Having now heard about the speciality sharing pies we will definitely be coming back!

Black out blinds as well as curtains would have helped keep the room darker in the morning. But I should probably start travelling with an eye mask anyway!

The food (breakfast and evening) was excellent. The staff were most obliging and friendly. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

The one thing I didn't like was the state of the carpet in the "corridor" that links the bedrooms with the bar/dining areas. However, the staff said it was going to be replaced.
