I had a lovely welcome on arrival, the room was fantastic, newly finished with quality furnishings and fittings. The evening meal was great, one of the best steak and ale pies I've ever tasted! The service again was friendly and spot on. The inn itself is quite an old building with character and charm. Situated in a great village with surrounding walks, I took my push bike and had a nice ride around traffic free lanes with fantastic views across the Lincs Wolds. The bedroom had natty USB and USB C charge points built into the bed side lamps, handy.

Nothing of note, maybe just needed a hairdryer.

Hotel is very well located for anyone wanting to visit Cadwell Park Race Circuit, within 10-15 minutes by car. Very good breakfast that set us up for the day. Excellent food in the evening Steak and Ale Pie yummy!!! Great shower always pipping hot and powerful Both of our hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming to (All) of their guests, great with their guests no-one singled out for special attention can sometimes be the case where we have previously stayed.

As we stayed three days we would have liked the rooms to have been given a daily housekeep, regards change of towels and refresh of the coffee, tea and milk tray, as there was a fridge in the room fresh milk may have been provided a small thing but it can make all the difference during your stay. When asked the above were addressed just that we prefer not to have to request this it makes us feel demanding which we're certainly not. The area leading up to the rooms was a little untidy and didn't create a great first impression when we first went to our room, however, it wouldn't be a deal breaker as the hotel is a country pub at heart and the hosts as mentioned make-up for this with their friendliness and welcoming approach making our stay relaxing.

Satnavs seem to have difficulty finding it, but once there it is a very nice little village. The owners couldn't have been better - very friendly and keen to please - as were the rest of the staff. Food was of excellent quality, the accommodation was clean and comfortable: all in all an excellent country pub. Wifi worked very well, as did the TV and the heating.

Very minor things: no information sheet/folder in the room (opening hours, wifi codes, etc.); a kettle but no tea, coffee, etc. provided; only a heavy winter-weight duvet; nowhere to put soap, etc. in the shower. So no deal-breakers!

Location really good for Cadwell park circuit. The food is superb, Adam is a fine chef and his menu is extensive, as it is, I'd stay here for the food alone. A full English breakfast was available at 7am, which is great if you're doing a track day at Cadwell, most establishments won't do this now. Victoria is very friendly and accommodating and cheerful, which starts the day off well. Loads of free parking. Location is also nice and quiet. Tea and coffee in room. Excellent wardrobe space.

Mattress springs have seen better days on the bed I had. No bottled water in room. Only one personal hand towel in bathroom between 2. Bathroom soap left something to be desired but ok if you forgot your own. Shampoo was good. But who doesn't bring their own toiletries these days, so no biggy.

The property is a lovely old traditional pub in a gorgeous little village setting. The staff were very friendly and efficient and catered to all my needs happily. I had approximately 10-12 friends join me for an evening meal after telling them how superb the food was. The staff at The Black Horse catered to us all with exceptional service and all my friends confirmed how delicious the food was. My room was very clean and comfortable with a modern shower room and plenty of storage.

The only small issue was no soap dish of shelf in the shower.

Four night stay at the Black Horse motorcyling in the Lincolnshire Wolds The Inn fulfilled all our expectations, our hosts really looked after our party of five going above and beyond to help one of our number who broke his leg ! A big thankyou to all the staff . Comfortable accommodation, breakfast included , a very good standard of evening menu freshly prepared at a reasonable price, good choice of local Ales.

Small village in the back of beyond do your homework to navigate the local as not Sat Nav freindly

The room was very clean and tidy and very comfy bed. I think a few more toiletries would be helpful as i was provided with shampoo snd soaps but not shower gels, so i just used the shampoo instead but normally you get those little things. I had a meal both nights and the food was excellent and the staff friendly. I met the owner at breakfast each morning, she was very helpful and i had a great breakfast. Would stay another time abd recommend it

The Hosts, Victoria and Adam are wonderful. It is located in a quiet village and situated perfectly for Cadwell Park race track. It is closed to the public from Sunday afternoon after 4:30pm and Monday and Tuesday, but if you are a paying guest staying there, they will provide an evening meal and drinks from the bar. The food was excellent. There is loads of off-road free parking.

I found my single twin bed quite comfortable, but it was a bit rickety and the headboard rattles. My friend whom is 6ft 2inch and 19St, did not find the bed comfortable, but he seemed to sleep well enough to me because of the snoring! There is a flagstone that needs repairing on the way to the rooms, as it's a trip hazard.

Food was uniformly excellent. Adam is a skillful chef and really cares about the food he prepares. Victoria was very warm, friendly and welcoming. She advised us on places to visit and went out of her way to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely stay at the Black Horse again when we next visit Lincolnshire.

The buildings were in poor state when Victoria a⁸nd Adam bought the Black Horse and they have undertaken extensive renovation works. The only [small] issue we encountered was some remaining areas of uneven paving, but that's really nit-picking!

Wonderful traditional pub, with incredible menu all cooked to perfection. Spotless rooms, great shower, comfy bed, quiet at night. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful, charming and efficient. I also liked that it was so dog-friendly, which added to the traditional atmosphere. A good choice of the better low-alcohol beers too.

Can’t think of anything.
