The welcome provided by the staff was warm and friendly, the rooms and bathrooms were well appointed, and the mattress was especially comfortable. We enjoyed a varied choice of items for breakfast. The offerings were suitable and delicious. Within our group, we had a vegan. A vegetarian, a gluten-free person, and meat eaters. All were catered for admirably. There was also a good selection of meals for dinner. The location is a little remote, but with a car, it's ideal being 15 minutes from RAF Cranwell, which was the reason for our visit to the area.

The only negative was that 2 of our 3 rooms lacked a full-length mirror, which is essential for women getting ready for a special event.

Breakfast was cooked to order and was fresh & tasty. A selection of cereals was also available. Would have been nice if there were dried fruits and seeds to add to these, but it wasn't a problem. The evening menu was impressive. The food was well- cooked, tasty and reasonably priced The decor and cleanliness of my room was superb. It was cosy and warm. I had a great night's sleep, which set me up for a long drive home in the morning. The information folder in the room was informative. It was interesting to learn about the history of the hotel and the wider estate.

All good, really. Expect creaky floors and squeaky doors! This is an old building after all.

Staff here are welcoming and customer friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Room was lovely, clean and bright, comfy bed. Windows opened and there was a fan if it got warm. Bathroom was huge, plenty of hot water and big fluffy towels. Lots of unexpected little touches, drinks in fridge, homemade chocolates, crisps, nuts, bottled water. Bar food lunch really good. Restaurant and evening meals served too. Background music downstairs couldn’t be heard upstairs. Quiet village location. Breakfast good selection of cooked and continental: cooked was excellent, the bacon was really good. We will return.

Lovely quaint little pub in a peaceful location, the room was a good size, very nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable, bathroom was a good size with a large walk in shower and very clean. Breakfast was lovely. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Although the rooms were located within the pub it really was very quiet, added bonus is they have a restaurant which serves really tasty food so no need to go looking for places to eat as there isn't anything close by so you would need transport to go anywhere, stayed here for 2 nights with my husband and we throughly enjoyed it, we could have stayed longer, we would definitely recommend staying here.

My only issue was we both found the shower very hard to use because the control's have to be turned rather than pressed, had to use a towel to try and turn the control's and even then struggled.

So glad the first hotel we booked cancelled our stay last minute otherwise we would never have found this delightful hotel. Dog friendly ( Loki was so excited to find a welcome goodie bag all for him with a new ball and treats 😁) with the most comfortable bed and lovely room. Shower piping hot and the food both nights was amazing. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. Very quiet area for a great nights sleep. Would highly recommend !

Nothing it was 10/10

We have stayed at the Finch Hatton a number of times. This time we stayed in the accessibility room 19. Which was suitable for us with our dog for one night. Food was nice. I noticed two EV chargers which need to be added to the Hotel facilities and ZAP map.

We thought room 19 cleanliness was not as sharp and fresh as times before. The menu had also changed and I missed the pizza. We had dinner in the bar and it was very noisy with three local gentlemen loudly sharing coarse jokes.

The very quiet location and the very good staff.

Our room was noisy during the night. It sounded like “marbles rolling around”. We don’t know what caused the noise but it disturbed us on both nights. We assumed it was noisy guests on the first night so didn’t inform reception. But it happened again on our second night which was our last night. We have stayed before and been on the ground floor which we will ask for if we choose to stay again.

Breakfast and evening meal were excellent.We had two evening meals. The rooms were very clean and the first room was a great size with a bath. The location made it easy to get to Heckingthorpe, for the windmill and Sleaford. Staff were very friendly and very accommodating, especially when we had a slight problem.

There was only one unfortunate setback. Outside our first room was a very noisy restaurant extract fan. But the staff provided a very a acceptable solution.

Everything. Location - perfect, halfway point on our way home. Hotel - beautiful - an old property that has been lovingly kept. Room - dog friendly ground floor room (with a little gift for our shi Tzu Nala. ) Comfortable bed, outstanding bathroom. Real coffee sachets for our morning cuppa to ready us for the day ahead. Staff - Wonderful, friendly staff made our stay relaxing and comfortable. Overall a lovely night’s stay.

Nothing to complain about.

Breakfast, was great. Self service buffet with juice, cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt, croissants. Plus a choice of cooked breakfasts to follow including a vegetarian breakfast. The dog particularly liked her Lincolnshire sausage and bowl of water while we enjoyed our breakfast. Coffee machine with the buffet, so hot and endless top-ups as required. Evening menu looked good but our son had made other plans for us. Popular spot with the locals and visitors.

The hotel was having some building work done so the first morning we were wakened before 8am by a reversing concrete lorry but the 2nd day was absolutely fine. The contractors and staff did apologise but it was a special delivery while the weather was dry, but it didn't spoil our stay.
