The hotel is situated in its own grounds in a quiet location next to the Golf Course but within easy walking distance to the town centre. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and all appeared to work as a team. Our room was situated in the annexe which normally means that it is more basic than the main building but we were pleasantly surprised to find that this was not the case. The room in the annexe was to a high standard, comfortable beds and with its own lounge and even had a lift to the accommodation situated on the first and second floor and even had its own separate car park. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent and very reasonably priced. If we ever find ourselves returning to this area again I will definitely arrange to stay here again.

Breakfast…5 choices on the hot breakfast menu so a limited menu meant the service was very efficient. Staff were excellent very attentive. Room very spacious with many extras…toiletries, bottled water, coffee/ tea. Servicing staff very helpful and friendly. Harry’s bar with outside seating was a comfortable area to enjoy a quiet drink. Our experience was a great improvement on previous visits.
Although the room was very spacious and a fan was provided it was very hot for sleeping( the weather was hot for May). The bathroom was also spacious but it didn’t have a walk-in shower……it was an old fashioned bath with a hand shower….great if you like baths and want to wash your hair but totatally impractical if you are wanting a shower as water goes everywhere. It was also high to step into.

Location was good for us, close to town and the golf course. Staff were friendly and helpful. The outdoor space was lovely. Bed was comfortable, room was very spacious and the bathroom had been refurbished.
Considering the price of our suite, the furniture could do with updating as it felt a little tired. Some areas of the room needed a good dust and the curtains rehung. For the price, a little more attention to detail would help.

The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, Obviously the selection process is very good. The food was excellent, we had both breakfast and an evening meal. A little pricier than we would normally choose, because it is more high end, but not so much so that you didn't feel comfortable (we had a suite). Very homely and pleasant. No road noise because it's secluded. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and special break, We also looked at the wedding and conferencing facilities because we're nosey, and they look absolutely spot on.
Nothing to dislike at all. If you don't like this place you are very hard to please.

My stay at the Dower House Hotel was absolutely delightful. Nestled in serene surroundings, the ambiance exudes tranquility, making it a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life and also for it is just 6-8mins walk to Woodhall spa manor where we were guests to a birthday party hosted was the highlight of the weekend . A Warm welcome smile from the receptionist said it all .
While my experience at the Dower House Hotel was largely positive, one minor aspect that posed a challenge for me was its remote location in the woods. Walking back to the hotel after dark proved to be a bit daunting particularly during late night hours but all the same love the property .

I was ill and the staff were very considerate, kind and helpful. Carlo, the General Manager, is very hands on; treats his staff and guests well. Shout out to Chris, night porter, for accommodating me. Absolutely beautiful, value for money Ham n cheese baguettes with chips, from day time menu.
£29 steak: mushroom covered in oil. Not worth the price. The lock to the Lodge is fiddly. Maybe put a sign up to instruct turning the key halfway. Better still, use automated key cards. The same for the rooms. Fiddly keys, with clunky, soft wooden do not disturb signs. The combination is cumbersome, if you're coming and going throughout the day and want to leave sign on door.

The suite was lovely and quiet, with a nice view of the garden from the living area and a comfortable king bed. The cooked breakfast was delicious and the staff attended us very quickly. All staff members were friendly and welcoming.
Please consider more hooks and shelves: - We had nowhere to put our wet coats (we didn’t fancy hanging them in the cupboard among our other clothes). It would have been nice to have somewhere to hang things in the entrance area. - Also, a mat to put shoes in the entrance area? Again, there was a lot of rain and muddy conditions, I’m sure this would save your carpet! - There was nowhere to put our toiletries, despite having a large bathroom. A shelf or small table would have been useful.

It was very clean. Loved the change of towels every day and the replenishment of tea, milk and biscuits. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff so friendly and helpful. I requested a specific room and my wishes were granted.
The vanity mirror in the bathroom was absent and last year we had a Lincolnshire Life magazine in the room but not present this year. This magazine is so helpful to see what local events, shops and restaurants are available… was a lovely touch.

The dinner I attended was superb. Having friends in catering up to the top class I can only give the ultimate catering accolade, "Chefie had a bit of luck!" Room was so spacious and relaxing, (No.4), everything just so. Shower, well what can i say, never felt so clean! Staff, so friendly, helpful and made me feel very welcome. Waiter service; you would hardly notice they were there, like ghosts; perfection.
GB News on the TV to boost my blood pressure.

The breakfast was lovely with plenty to choose from and served by a warm and friendly staff member.
There was nobody to greet us at reception on arrival and the door to reception was locked , it was a little uncomfortable as this was our first visit to this hotel and we had to go and search for a staff member to book us in.
