The location was perfect. Easy walk to town and restaurants and beautiful surroundings of the lake. The room was new and clean.
The front desk staff were usually helpful in the end but were a little standoffish or seemed uncomfortable/awkward around people. One particular person did not seem familiar with the town when we asked where we could find some items for our son’s dorm room. He simply said he hadn’t bought anything like that in a long time and provided no further information. We later learned there were some places half a mile down the street. Ultimately not horrible and definitely not a deal breaker just a little odd.

The hotel is amazing, the room with lake view is gorgeous and the whole property modern and very well maintained. Nice pool, very nice hot tube, fitness center very good. Also the common space with fireplace was very warm and welcoming
Such a pity that there was no continental breakfast, so we had to go in the village for that. Also at check-in we were offered one little chocolate, but it was two of us. Request for a second one was denied… how to start a stay with the wrong foot… 🤦♂️

Convenient location and easy to get in and out of the area towards Lake Placid for hiking. Hotel and room were immaculate including bathroom and bed was very comfortable. Will definitely look to stay here again next year at the same time.
The only thing was my first night when someone above me sounded like an elephant on the floor when walking. This was happening well after midnight too. Luckily it only lasted one night. Would have liked a microwave in the room and a complimentary breakfast for the price paid and not just an attached restaurant with high prices.

The hotel was clean, was modernly appointed, and our view of the lake was lovely. The staff were helpful in providing a microwave in our room upon request. We were able to watch a thunderstorm from our window which was the best way for us to shelter in our cozy room. The lighting in all the spaces was excellent, which is often a problem area.
Things were 99% clean but it did appear that the open design closet needed careful attention to dusting in some of the surfaces. While the room had two windows we really could only open one shade as the room next door had a view into our room. These were not problems, just observations.

Beautiful location by the Lake Flower. Lots of free parking. Restaurant on site. Plenty of eateries in the vicinity. Less than half hour drive from Lake Placid. Room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. Lots of comfortable seating arrangements in the lobby. Lots of seating arrangements on patios by the waterfront. Propane fireplaces on patios. Loons creating an enchanting atmosphere in the evening.
Room did not have any microwave. TV did not have any app to log in to your own prime, youtube or netflix account to watch movies. Windows only open a small little bit. Takes a long long time to get cold drinking water on the tap in the morning. After approx 10 mins, I gave up. Customer service at the restaurant is okay but needs to improve. Waitress has a grumpy personality with no smile on her face or sense of humour.

Lake view was wonderful Use of swimming pool with lots of fluffy towels and wonderful toiletries
The breakfast was in a separate location. We were not advised that we needed vouchers for breakfast and as we had already paid for this, we were presented with an invoice for over $60. A very unhelpful waitress served a very overpriced meal. Our 'vouchers' were for $25 each. Everything was an 'extra', including juice, tea and toast. We would not recommend this restaurant as the staff were totally unhelpful and the breakfast was poor.

The food at Boathouse was really very good, better than at Whiteface Lodge and that was a beautiful venue we stayed at prior to coming here, and the food wasn't bad, just not as good. I know people have complained about Boathouse, I've read previous reviews, but we were there for the eclipse and although they should have hired some busboys, and a couple more servers, the food was great, the waitstaff was great and the bartender did a great job and nice pours. Truly, everything we had was delicious, the club sandwich which we shared was perfect, loved the housemade chips, my fault not asking for the dressing for the salad on the side, everyone likes their salad dressed to their taste. For dinner, the bolognese penne was great, needed just a bit of salt, and we loved the Brussel sprout appetizer. We are well travelled and cook extensively at home and I think we know when something is good or not. They really were on their game for the eclipse! Cannot find much fault with the room, it was a waterfront room, there was a slight problem with the weather stripping on the window. Otherwise, it is not a lavish room but it does have a very comfortable bed, nice amenities in the bathroom and our room had pegs as well as clothes hangers. Our room had a coffee maker with pods and a mini frig. We could hear the children in the room next to us, but we had a room that could be an adjoining room. Overall, it was a lovely stay, and enjoyed the eclipse.

It was clean, nice view and comfortable location
in our booking was said that room will be with shower or bathtub and unfortunately there wasn’t any room with bathtub when we came to the hotel so we asked about room with bathtub maybe for another day and guy in reception said that they will have available one at 02.15 and when we come to reception at that day in a morning some girl without checking just said that they doesn’t have any available room with bathtub we asked her couple times in that day and her answer was the same, but when we come back at night in same day and saw that guy and asked him he said that they have available number with bathtub and friendly gave us different keys

I love this hotel and this is my third time staying here. I noticed on this visit that furniture was added to further elevate the experience. I took advantage of the pool at sunset which was a really nice
My only criticisms are as follows: There was only one tiny bar of soap in the room. This was a tiny bar, insufficient to shower with and there wasn't another option like a small shower jgel or additional bar. The restaurant at 10 am was absolutely fridgid

Loved the location, the room, restaurant, deck, courtyard, lobby, etc. Staff in the restaurant and desk, lobby were great.
The frontdesk emptied the coffee at 10am! I didn't get coffee. Checkout is noon so please leave the coffee out until 12:30. Also, there needs to be triple the number of firepits on the lawn as my son and I wanted to sit by the firepit and look at the lake in the evening but all were taken. Perhaps reserve the firepit with the rooms for an hour or 2 at a time so all guests can experience them.
