Breakfast buffet was well worth the $20 per person with the variety of items and number of times you could visit it. Fresh fruit was in season and delicious. Omelets were made in front of you with a variety of options. Very convenient to numerous locations in the Lake Placid area.

The HVAC component did not go below 68 degrees and every few hours it would increase to 71 degrees and I would need to turn the thermostat down. Because of my breathing challenges, I do best 62 to 65 degrees. The TV was annoying to operate as there was a 3 second delay from pushing the button for the TV to do what you wanted. The title of "Lakeside Resort" was confusing as I thought I'd be on Mirror Lake or East Lake, etc but was on a Paradox Pond which could not be swam in due to snapping turtles.

great complex, lakeside area was a nice surprise. We were in town for our son's participation in the IronMan, and the van service was a GREAT unexpected surprise. We actually found out the next morning as we were exiting to get into our car to search for parking downtown, and the shuttle happened to be right outside.

Location was convenient to the downtown and surrounding attractions mostly bc we had a car to access things, although there was a shuttle in town, we didn't access it bc of kids/seniors we were travelling with. Pool at hotel, access to restaurant, bar, outdoor seating, fire pits, the new/modern look and feel of the hotel. Local restaurants nearby were easy to access- we could have walked! Would like to visit again when it's warmer!

Didn't know about the outside accommodations and what we were allowed to do/not do, descriptions of views were unclear and how close to lake/water we actually were or weren't.

The front desk. Staff was very friendly made us feel welcome from the beginning. The rooms were very clean hotel very clean very nice. Only one thing that was disappointing that the rooms are not very soundproof in the floors were not very soundproof. As every time we were in the hallway it sounded like a herd of elephants above us. Our room is on the first floor, and we could literally hear the people next to us talking. Every time someone on which ever side of us flush your toilet, we could hear it and turn on the shower. We could hear it love the hotel but that was very disappointing.

For breakfast I ordered two poached eggs that came hard did let the waiter know they did redo them for me but had to wait the hashbrowns. I felt like I was eating french fries for breakfast. They were deep fried then when we arrive we ordered an appetizer appetizer some lobster. not sure what it was, but it was delicious except I felt like there should have been more in the Little pita or Little roll. Just felt like the portion was not acceptable. I did not recommend the hotel for food.

The location was very good even though it wasn't within walking distance from town unless you're an avid walker. The on-sight restaurant was very good with excellent attention from the wait staff. The rooms were so large and very clean! The bathrooms are very nice with large showers with a great shower head! I just loved this hotel!

The only downside to the restaurant was they did not have sugar-free maple syrup for my diabetic grandson. So I dosed him more, but it would have been nice to have the other option.

The pool was clean, as were the beds rooms and facilities. The staff, particularly front desk Christa, went above and beyond to help us change rooms for a bathtub. One of the servers at breakfast was especially kind with our seven year old son. The housekeepers also were great, especially the young man who picked up some soiled linens.

A towel bar near the sink would be nice. And housekeeping every other day without request.

It is a fairly new hotel therefore it was clean and modern. Close to the lake with complementary use of paddle boat/canoe which was really nice. We enjoyed the outside seating. I really liked that you could refill your waterbottle at the gym, great feature to not use the plastic bottles. The restaurant was great at the hotel, everyone was super nice and the food was good, although a bit pricey. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

- new building, freshly renovated rooms - has elevator - spacious and clean room, looks as described on the site - quietness. We did not hear neighbors - very good bathroom - spacious, strong water flow, really hot water, giant mirror with Bluetooth - comfortable bed +++ - clean and comfy linen and towels - electronic locks in entrances to the building and to the room (using chip cards), very convenient - excellent location - quiet, away from the center; pharmacy, gas station (including free air pump) and food store are in 5 min walk - very friendly and welcoming staff - great restaurant at the 1st floor (Haystack). Tasty food, good choice of dishes, generous portions. Tasheka - the host at the restaurant - is nice and overall awesome, her presence added a lot to the festive mood in our mornings.

Windows cannot open at all. If you want fresh cool air during the nap time, you have to use AC, and it will buzz time to time and interfere with your sleep. It is great for people with allergy, but me as an ordinary person would appreciate an opportunity to let some fresh mountain air to the room without extra noise. We also had an issue with door lock, which we noticed by accident before departure. The door did not lock automatically after shutting, and we were able to open it just by pushing it in. We had to slap it very strongly in order to get it closed. We notified staff, and they sent maintenance to fix it, but very likely our door was unlocked for a few days.

Dinner was excellent and the breakfast buffet was very good. The prices were cheaper than in restaurants in the Village. We received an upgrade (better view) because the room wasn't ready at check-in. The place was spotless. Pool was enjoyable. Staff was very attentative and helpful.

The room came with high tech features for controlling the power, heat, & A/C. It would have been helpful if there was some literature explaining how to work some of the devices. We had to bother the head desk to learn that heat/A/C was not controlled by the thermostat on the wall.

Breakfast was very good. Restaurant staff was friendly and attentive to needs of diners.On check in,we were greeted by Samantha, who was extremely helpful and very friendly. During our stay she always had a big smile and a wave and answered any of our questions. On check out Jordan was very professional. Great gym.,
