Hotel is a little outdated. However, the rooms are beautiful and nicely appointed. The views from the sitting area are exceptional. The bar Taven area is very nice as is the indoor pool, sauna and hot tub. We did not eat at the restaurant or go to the spa, however, people that did, commented that it was very good. We enjoyed our stay, although we found the stay a little pricey for the room and amenities. We were celebrating our anniversary, and staff sent up champagne and chocolates, which was a very nice touch. The hotel is beautifully decorated, and there is attention to detail, which makes this hotel very pleasant stay.

Hotel for the stay was pricey. It was a very nice stay but I don’t think I would do it again because of the cost. Lake Placid is nice, but can get crowded and has limited entertainment and leisure, unless you spend your time hiking the beautiful trails.

Nice hotel, clean, good location, great views from the room and very friendly staff.

This type and price of hotel should provide more information and support to guest e.g. daily snow conditions, access to shuttle to skiing or other activities, information about activities available and the history of the town. I was left to find all this on my own and people at reception (while very nice!) did not know anything about snow conditions or even Olympics in Lake Placid. They should also offer to their guest to take their luggage to their room particularly as hotel has subdivisions. and there was ice in the parking area.

Beautiful property overlooking the lake!! Double room was really big and there was sitting are you could just seat down and relax with glass of wine. Beds were very comfortable. Staff super friendly. Easy check in!!

This hotel was booked last minute so we paid over $600 per night ( stayed 2 nights) But it was worth it for us because of many reasons. However we felt breakfast wasn’t good enough unfortunately. Not many options specifically if you have some restrictions in your diet. There were options from the cart but you had to pay for it on the top of $22 for buffet per person. But we will be back regardless!!!

Loved the grounds and the beautiful plants. The lake was also lovely. Close to town, which was con to shops and restaurants. LOVED THE COOKIES!!!!!

It would have been nice if there were muffins and maybe fruit at the coffee station for people who don"t want a $30 breakfast. Towels at the pool would also would have been nice, just like at the lake. The bar prices are quite steep, one drink was enough for us.

Great old style charm and lake location. Good at the view was very good-not outstanding but worthy.

Costs were exorbitant for quality of rooms and amenities. Quirky policies like when which restaurant was open, no coffee maker in room or station in building-had to tramp to lobby to get, no burgers at cafe.

Location sscenary breakfast was the best, no phone policy was a little harsh, I had an emergency call and was told to get off my phone and that wasn't appreciated!

Parking is too tight and I ended up backing into one of your bolder and damaged my tailgate , rear quarter panel and tail light on my new 2022 truck, not happy

Great breakfast. Nice to have snow shoes provided to walk on the lake . Gorgeous main common areas with fireplaces and comfy lounge chairs and coffee facility. Lovely fairy lights and snow!

Breakfast was wonderful. I asked for a special omelet and the chef met my request. We also had a wonderful girl named Trish who took care of our room and was very sweet and helpful. Our room with the view was spectacular!!

Your Direct TV was extremely difficult to operate. (awful to be blunt) Also would have loved a coffee maker in the room! We didn't like having to get dressed early in the morning to go to the main lobby to get coffee.

Gorgeous location and really spacious room with its own sitting area in front of view. Comfortable beds and quiet enough for light sleeper to get some rest.

Would have been nice to get some laundry done.
