This was one of our favorite spots in a 3-week trip along the west coast of Ireland. The room was huge, the breakast full of goodies, the location, right in the heart of very walkable Kenmare, perfect. But the very best part of the stay: The utterly charming and wonderfully honest and authentic bnb owner, Lucy. Lucy, a young 30-something who has built a charming bnb over her dad's butcher shop, was incredibly friendly, funny, and so very kind. She made reservations for us, gave spot-on recommendations, shared her advice on life, invited us to an intimate music concert of an iconic Irish musician, and in short was one of those remarkable people who we will remember always. If you are lucky enough to snag a room at Lucy's place -- or maybe the new one she plans to open soon -- grab it.

Upon entering the front door, everything about this property said “welcome”!!! It is beautifully decorated, rich rugs and wooden floors, large rooms with comfortable beds, tea, coffee and fruit available all day. Breakfast is the best we’ve had in Ireland; choice of scones, whipped cream and jam, eggs and smoked salmon, pancakes and French toast, avocado toast all prepared by Lucy and her assistant. Lucy and her mother are delightful, and expressed interest in the guests travel- made helpful suggestions about where to visit. I’d give this place 10 +++++++ if that were available!

I liked every thing!!

Excellent downtown location in Kenmare, in the heart of the the quaint little town. Plenty of free parking close by. The hostess was very charming and a wonderful cook, who did breakfast made to order with an excellent array of breakfast options. The hostess was happy to share information about day tours and locations to visit, and we definitely enjoyed our stay at the very nicely decorated B&B with comfortable rooms and bathrooms. We would definitely stay at Bridgestreet Townhouse if we visit Kenmare again. Keep in mind the location is very central so you are bound to hear some street noise early in the evening, but that did not keep us from enjoying a good night's sleep for our three nights there.

Some rooms could use a pedestal fan for warmer nights. We had a fan in one room but not the other two.

I can’t articulate how fabulous our stay was at Lucy’s place! The accommodations were absolutely amazing, the room was spacious, not only well appointed but I’d even say curated! From the furniture, to the live plants on the inside and outside of the property, wow! Lucy was so welcoming, that we felt more like friends than guests. She has the greatest recommendations and went above and beyond to get us out to Skellig Michael, as well as make sure we knew all the ins and outs of her charming town, as well as the Ring of Kerry, and even had recommendations for other areas in Ireland we were visiting, she’s a total gem. In addition to all of that, she offers the most delicious breakfast I think we’ve ever had at a B&B! Multiple menu items including AND a scrumptious offering of yogurt, fruits and pastries. We’ve gone on to our next stay and it pales in comparison to the level of hospitality we experienced at The Bridge Street Townhouse. There’s no question, this is hands down the place you should stay when visiting lovely Kenmare!

There was nothing not to love.

Exceeded all expectations! The place is well-maintained, we had a beautiful vintage-style room with a king-size bed. All the furniture looked so solid and like new. The bathroom was spotless! And next morning you wake up to an amazing breakfast - you get a menu with roughly great 7 meals to choose from + a selection of freshly baked pastries AND cakes AND fruit. It felt like the owner went an extra mile with everything and put so much love into this place - starting from lovely dish sets, ending with overall great level or service and cleanness. Typically we like to explore different places to stay when traveling around Ireland, but I would definitely book this place when we come back to Kenmare.

No complains

The location was great, perfect for exploring Kenmare, close to all shops, restaurants and bars. There is free parking very close by. Our room was tastefully decorated with a very comfortable bed and windows overlooking the town. It was also very clean. The choice for breakfast was incredible and all cooked freshly to order for each guest. The ingredients were of a very high quality and it was all delicious. Our host was fantastic, really friendly, helpful and a great cook!

We loved everything, the only tiny hiccup was that our heated towel rail didn't heat up -I do like a warm towel after showering.

This is the PERFECT place to stay in Kenmare!! We arrived very late in the evening, so there was a note informing us of the number to call to get into the secure building. Before we could even dial the number, the host’s mother was there to check us into our room! The room was beautiful & our 2 night stay was wonderful. The Bridge Street Townhouse is conveniently located within walking distance of restaurants & pubs. The breakfasts prepared by our host, Lucy, were so delicious!! She was friendly & helpful in making our stay an amazing experience!!

We spent over 2 weeks traveling across Ireland and did not come across a cleaner, accurately-priced, and more warm and welcoming accommodation than at Bridge Street. The host and owner Lucy made us feel like we were her favorite guests ever as it was easy to connect with her (and her incredible cakes, scones, and breakfasts in general). The room we had was clean, spacious, and updated in a classy, 1900s style. Kenmare is a great spot to vector out to Skellig Michael, Killarney, Dingle, Kerry loop, etc. Bridge Street is walkable to lots of high quality restaurants, pubs, and shops and parking is a few short steps away. I don't have a planned return trip to Ireland (yet), but I plan to stay here for 4-5 nights just for the food, company, and nice rooms. I recommend not missing out on Bridge Street!

Nothing I can think of at all

Lucy was incredibly kind and helpful with ideas for the area. She helped make our Ring of Kerry drive a beautiful success. Great location right in the middle of town. Relatively easy parking. Absolutely fantastic breakfast. A warm-feeling place.

Like many places in Ireland, there’s no air conditioning. It’s usually not needed, though. Be aware there isn’t an elevator, so you’ll be carrying your bags up a flight or two.

The staff were awesome, as was the breakfast. The rooms were spacious and extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable. I loved that there were plants all over the inside and outside of the building. Special shoutout to Lucy, the owner, providing us with great ideas for our daily excursions.

One of our three rooms was facing the square and they had a hard time sleeping because of the noise. Granted it was a Friday and Saturday night. Not much of a complaint, just something to note for future bookings.
