Stayed 2 nights for my son and new daughter in laws wedding … we held the whole event in The Everglades, and couldn’t have asked for a better venue.. rooms were clean and beds super comfortable, set up was amazing for the wedding, so much so I’m seeing about having more kids so we can book again 😝 . But no … the food was an amazing standard and beautiful. Anyone looking to use the hotel for a wedding I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.. only downside the drinks are expensive… but then again it’s a one off and hotels aren’t bars that have drinks offers on so expect a bit more than your locals prices … again. The food was beautiful with lots of options. The staff on reception were excellent and super friendlya d answered any questions my partner had. The room was lovely, bed was a bit creaky but other than that couldn’t complain. Staff exceeded my expectations with the requests I made for when we arrived in the room. Lovely peaceful stay!

The shower screen wasn’t cleaned and there was hairs on the tiles around the bath in the bathroom. Nobody came to service the room during our stay. We had to go to reception for extra toilet rolls and milk for the in room tea/coffee station.

Breakfast was nice with choice for continental and english - , there is freshly cooked in the week and buffet at weekends. Staff were friendly and helpful. Drinks very expensive in the bar. There was no lift and only a bath with shower over it, so not as disabled friendly as other hotels. We had a downstairs room for my v elderly mother and I, but the bath was too difficult for her and a room hoped to hold an event in was upstairs so was booked elsewhere.

Everything from checking in, requesting an extra day's stay at short notice and checking out was a very pleasant experience. I had some specific needs that Angela's team responded to and exceeded my expectations. The room was perfect for my needs and well decorated, prepared and maintained. The food experience was also very rewarding. I had breakfast and evening meals; the choice was varied and the standard can only be described as delightful. The staff were very professional and caring which was an important element of making my stay one of the best hotel experiences I have had in a long time. I would strongly recommend anyone who has a need to stay in the area for business or pleasure to seriously look at the Everglades Hotel Widnes, it will be a very enjoyable experience.

There is nothing, I feel that needed to be improved.

Very conveniently situated and has a large car park. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The Bar area was comfy. Service was a little slow in the evening as the barman doubled up as door security and reception. Breakfast was good though the menu was not clear. It only offered fried eggs until the waitress told us they could be poached or scrambled. Overall, it's a good place to stay. It could be a brilliant hotel with a bit of TLC. It just needs updating.

The bed mattress needs replacing. They are thin and worn. Water was scalding hot, and needs warning near taps.

Overall, good value. Hotel a bit "tired" but very comfortable. Attended a Xmas party which was well organised. Bar/waiting staff very good.

Reception staff failed to pick up we were a couple and did not query only 1 breakfast. This caused the problem the next day, eventually dealt with by the restaurant supervisor who was quite rude and was chasing for payment while I was actually trying to eat a highly overpriced breakfast (£14.95 in a 3 star hotel?). Bar prices also quite high.

The room was clean and smelt fresh. The Breakfast was tasty and delicious with a wide choice of dishes. I accidentally left my Tablet computer when I checked out but the Cleaning staff found it and handed it in to Reception. Thank you for your honesty ladies. Much appreciated.

My Friends and myself found the Dinners a bit expensive and the drinks at the Bar seemed a bit pricey. But Hey. This is a Hotel and I agree that overheads have to be met.

Breakfast was really excellent. Loads of choice, all fresh. Cereals, fruit juice,coffee and toast are all self service. Not breakfast, if required was ordered and served at your table. The service was prompt and the staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. Lots of choice for tea and coffee - which was really hot and good. Even the background music suited my taste.

Friendly staff, large spacious room and bed. Great breakfast. Dog friendly, great parking.

The dog friendly room(s) are very close to the wedding function room, so lots of party noise in the garden outside the room window. Maybe a dog friendly room location rethink needed? Or advise of functions and likely noise on the booking site prior to booking? Still had a pleasant stay.

The location was great close to shops, very nice hotel, people were friendly, plenty of amenities, the room size was good, the price for the size room was good, large TV which was great, the bed was comfy and the bathroom actually had a bath and a shower, overall a good experience.

Only thing I had an issue with was the lights in the room all switched off together so couldn't do them separately. But probably not a problem for most people.
