location, breakfast, staff, comfy bed and lovely rooftop bar

unable to bring room down below 23 degrees even when thermostat set at 16. No fan in room and non available which made it difficult to sleep without window wide open which made it a little noisier late at night and early mornings. This is a very solvable issue which management were made aware of.

The property is well located and has a great view of the cathedral. The swimming pool was very nice during the hot weather . The staff were welcoming on my arrival and gave me water which was appreciated on a hot day.

There were too many gadgets in the room making it complicated to turn the lights on and off and to control the room temperature. The air conditioning could have been more powerful. The safe didn't work on arrival and the fridge was a mini bar full of alcohol. It would have been nice to have a fridge to store shop bought drinks £50 euro deposit for a pool towel seemed excessive. It was difficult to order drinks at the bar with an ap. seeming to be the preferred method rather than ordering and paying.A kettle in the room would have been more convenient than a nosy coffee making machine. The wardrobe space was inadequate .

The rooftop pool is incredible. Beautiful views of the cathedral. Very comfortable loungers/seats/sunbeds. Beautiful cocktail bar overlooking the plaza. The staff were incredibly helpful and looked into organising a sherry tour for us. Lots of gadgets in the room such as electronically operated curtains/lights/music. Amazing location. Great air con. Well sound proofed.

The room wasn’t as big as I expected. The room wasn’t “useful” Only a few hangers on a rail open to the room. No drawers to put anything in. Limited “table top” space to put things on.

Very good location with reachable distance to old town and restaurants. Clean and comfortable rooms with welcome fruits plate. Right at square in front of active cathedral (you may like or not like the bells) while windows are pretty soundproof. Pool is actually smaller than on pictures but warm. Limited number of seats/beds/chairs at pool side but there are more on Bar floor just some steps below. Pool towels are provided. Underground parking about 3-5min walk from hotel (17,50 Eur per night but it may take time to find the place there and it will be quite narrow). We did not take breakfast but hotel has restaurant just on right side open to square and coffee and cappuccino is really good there (not the case in many places in town). Suggesting to use time to go to open beach (about 10min walk).

Few critical suggestions to host: 1) the guidance to reach the hotel should be more precise! We came from Seville by car and Google Maps was guiding us through old town where actually it is not allowed to drive everywhere! So please point out the co-ordinates/address of cathedral or parking place beside it for luggage drop off. Also make it clear where the underground parking is. 2) Ordering of drinks at pool side is through QR code at the table only - but in our case it did not work. And why the small bottle of Cava is taken out from roof bar list ...in Spain?!

I adored everything about this little gem of a hotel. 10 minute walk from bus/train station. Central to everything and Cadiz is very walkable. The welcome was amazing, the room was spacious, with two huge windows with small balconies looking straight across to the stunning cathedral. The lights/aircon/music system was very easy to work. Useful things like, full length mirrors, fridge with minibar, tea/coffee in room, water and delightful touches like welcome notes, healthy snacks and delicious sherry! The decor was colourful, rich and wonderful, showcasing local artists. The bar and rooftop pool (more of a plunge pool - we didn't use it as there was a very amorous couple in there for absolutely ages and it feels a little like its not for sharing if someone is in there already!) Breakfast was healthy, used local produce, menu on beautiful handmade paper - it was nice to choose therefore no waste. Very reasonable too at 15 euros. BAg storage on our last day was also very useful.

Leaving!

Rooftop pool was fantastic and not crowded because it was a smaller hotel. Comfortable room with great view of the Cathedral. In the heart of the old town. Loved the special touches - a fruit plate and personal welcome note on arrival, a record player in our room with other vinyls to choose from in the common area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast on one of the days (an extra, not included) and it was lovely.

A little expensive if you include any extras like dinner or drinks at the pool.

The location, the facilities, the staff were excellent, how pet friendly the hotel was. The hotel restaurant and roof top bar were beautiful and such an enjoyable experience. We felt very welcome and the bed was really comfortable. The record player was a nice touch, along with the towels and artisanal soap.

It was quite noisy in our room and we could hear everyone entering and leaving the hotel, as well as when the restaurant below started preparing for the day, from 7am. Also, the bathroom in the room lacked privacy. But everything else was fantastic and these did not ruin our vacation, but these things could be improved to get a 10 score.

Location: 10/10 right in the heart of the square in Old Town our room faced the Cathedral and had a little balcony. Staff: 10/10 outstanding service. We enjoyed the small fruit plate with granola upon arrival. Plus we were able to check in early Room: 8/10 nice but the smart technology took a bit to get use to but loved how the curtains opened when we entered. Also, hooking up music was great. Not sure I would install in my house now that I’ve tried it out. Shower - just weird. Missed too low and sprayed over the floor plus hard to regulate temperature. Record/vinyl player just took up space. Loved the scratchy towels - I will order some myself. Floors are dark and hard to adjust to when you get off the elevator. TV should include one English News Channel like CNN.

Restaurant (Breakfast) - honestly didn’t try. We would have like breakfast in there but it was €15 each and not suitable for vegan at that price. They should have a small menu in which to order items without having to buy-in to their breakfast. Plus, cafe beside didn’t open until 10am so you are forced to go elsewhere. For dinner - although nice menu, the menu was pricey so didn’t indulge. Negative: For all the smart systems in the hotel, access to the rooms via elevator did not have secure access. Anyone walking in from the square or the restaurant could simply access the various floors via the elevator.

The hotel is in a lovely and brilliant location. The room was nice and modern and the record player was a nice touch. The rooftop cocktail and plunge pool is beautiful and overlooks the cathedral. The information from the hotel via an app was informative with key locations and lots of entertainment suggestions.

The bathroom is modern and shiny, but lacks privacy as the shower's glass side is transparent to the bedroom. It feels like a minor moan, as everything else was truly wonderful.
