The location is great. It's close to everything. I had to check in late, and the staff stayed later than normal to make that happen. The bed was larger than I expected, and very comfortable. It had excellent air conditioning.

The room's shower was a little bit small. It was adequate, but it was difficult to avoid having the shower curtain stick to you.Solid panels would be better, but this is excellent for this price point. Also, the room I stayed in had a window that opened to an inner light well in the building, so that it didn't feel as if it was truly to the outside.

Central, very friendly owner, very clean. Bed was comfortable.

Our room was on the 1st floor to the back side of the buildig and the had a window to the small covered atrium (approx. 1×1m, no view) but no window for direct fresh air. That also made it dark in the room. If you don't stay in the room during the day - it's very okay for the price you pay. But there is not much relaxing-vibes to the room. There is a kettle that you have to fill with botteled water, as it doesn't fit under the sink.

I had a very warm welcome when I arrived. My room was clean. comfortable and quiet. Good wifi connection. The location was excellent. Train and bus stations are nearby.. The cathedral is a few minutes walk away and there are lots of restaurants and cafes on your doorstep. I would definitely stay here again.

Location was great , right in the centre plenty of bars and restaurants around . Checking in was great we were greeted by Paco who is a star very friendly gave us a map marked out so good places to eat and drink .

Great location inside the Casco Histórico, short walk from the train station. I loved that in spite of the bustling plazas and streets just steps from the door, the room itself was very quiet... made it easy to sleep.

Bathroom was nice, but I thought the room itself was a little tight. But great for the price point.

The best place to stay in Cádiz! Paco is extremely welcoming, really careful and provides you with the best service. Moreover, he is really eager to advise you nice places of interest and restaurants. The room was spacious, clean and beautiful. I'm super satisfied and will definitely come back!

Having Paco & Lorena as hosts at the hostal: both so friendly & helpful! I am glad I did the Torre Tavira (despite hearing other tourists say they wouldn't bother as they thought €7 was too expensive!); you get a real 'feel' for the city up there, and the Camera Oscura is brilliant! The camera-operator's information and explanation of the history of Cadiz made so much more sense to me than my 2dimensional map!

Maybe a quieter room. I should have asked for a 'quiet' room when I booked. My room was on the ground floor near the lift so I heard people coming and going at all hours; probably a room on a higher floor would have been quieter.

The one-star hostal is very central with a helpful staff. My room, 102, has 2 single beds but no natural light, which during Carnival is a good thing if you want to get sleep. Paco, the concierge, is very helpful and provided me with an iron for my shirts.

The shower has a flimsy curtain rail, and the duvets on the beds are very light and fall off.

As a solo traveller I felt safe here. Right in the middle of the city. 5 mins from the station and 3 minutes to the cathedral
