The house is really beautiful, everything super clean, super comfy bed with little lamps and sockets next to it, lots of activities provided by the hostel, awesome location, lovely vibe and easy to connect with people
The only thing I didn't like was our bathroom, which was private but external, so we had to lock it every time so it wasn't invaded by the 7 bed female room. This lead to unstandable air and humidity in the bathroom. The smell and the heat was really disgusting, especially when someone was showering before you. Please do something about the ventilation! Other than that I liked everything!

Our stay in Cádiz was absolutely perfect! This place went far beyond what we expected! We paid relatively little for a full apartment right in the city center, which made it super easy to explore everything on foot. At first, we thought the room was inside Hostel Caracol, but it turned out to be less than 1km away, and that was actually a great advantage, especially if you're parking a car. You can park on the blue lines at the end of the street where the room is, or better yet, in the covered Santa Bárbara parking (recommended by the hostel staff, €15/day). The hostel team was incredibly kind and helpful, always available, and gave us a lot of great advice. We also appreciated the easy check-in process, all done online via WhatsApp. The apartment is in a fantastic location, just steps from Plaza de Mina, one of the most vibrant squares in the city. The flat itself was super comfortable and fully equipped (coffee machine, washing machine, full kitchen, dishes, a large wardrobe, a beautiful bathroom, and a very comfy double bed). In short, an excellent stay: great value, perfect location, and warm, helpful hosts. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, our experience did not match what we expected at the time of booking. Instead of staying at Casa Caracol, as originally planned, we were moved—without much explanation—to a different apartment, Casa Mina. While it was located nearby, it was not a hostel, which is what we had specifically chosen. Casa Mina is a well-kept, nicely furnished apartment equipped with all the necessary amenities (kitchen, washing machine, toiletries, etc.). It is centrally located, convenient for exploring the city, and the environment is clean and quiet. The host, who manages both Casa Caracol and Casa Mina, was initially very helpful and gave us useful tips on what to see in Cádiz. However, the way the change was handled left us a bit disappointed: we were not accompanied to the new accommodation, we were given the wrong entrance code, and when we encountered difficulties, the tone used with us was not particularly courteous. Additionally, the room was set up for two guests instead of three, so we had to prepare the sofa bed and linens ourselves. Overall, the apartment offers a comfortable stay in a great location, but we would have appreciated clearer communication and a solution more aligned with what we had originally booked.

The building, the interior, the furnishings have its own charm with lots of small details. The 5 people room was fairly spacious. There is a lot of common area (inside and outside on the roofterrace) to wind down or socialise. The staff and the other guests were very friendly and genuine. They cook a cheap but delicious dinner and you can get cheap drinks at the bar. Free pancakes, coffee and fruit every morning. There is a guitar. They offer yoga/meditation.
It can be a bit loud at times. The kitchen is blocked in the evenings until 20:30 because the staff prepares the dinner then. If you don’t want the dinner (for example you’re vegan and it’s not always), you need to cook fairly late.

Lovely, clean, cosy, social, centrally located hostel with very warm hosts, nice breakfast included, and optional dinner (for a small fee). The hostel is ~5 minutes walking from the waterfront, 5 minutes from the Cathedral and Central areas, and less than 10 minutes from Cádiz train station. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and cleaned regularly. There are spacious luggage lockers in the rooms, just bring your padlock. The common area, rooftop and kitchen are chill, open for socialising or relaxing solo. I highly recommend staying here for a night or much longer.
The mattress of my bed was quite soft and could be replaced.

Very good location for exploring the city and going to the beach by walking. Cozy rooftop where you can eat family dinners that they prepare every night (homemade argentinian empanadas very delicious!). Very warm and friendly staff. Free breakfast was delicious (good fresh made pancakes).
The rooms are too small. There should be more bathrooms (there is only one in each room). The price of the hostel is a bit too expensive comparing to prices of other hostels in the area.

The location is ideal for exploring—easy to access. The receptionist was incredibly kind, giving a full tour of the facilities and explaining all the amenities in detail. The room was spotless, with a locker and power outlet for each bed. As a welcome gesture, he even offered a complimentary drink! This hostel is truly lovely—the common areas were clean, vibrant, and perfect for meeting fellow travelers. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, with great vibes all around.

A hostel as a hostel should be - very friendly welcome and social vibe. Easy to meet other travellers, cute decoration and right in the centre of Cadiz close to the bus station and the city beaches. I would stay again. Muchas gracias!
After the first night someone did some maintenance work in our dorm next to my bed - which is okay since these things need to be done - but leaving stains of paint on some of my clothes and stuff, and the fresh paint smelled strong and awfully. But the staff was very helpful and resolved the issue quickly (I could use another bed).

The atmosphere of the hostel was very comfortable. There were lots of activities planned, especially great for solo travelers. It is located well in Cádiz and had nice restaurants around it. The beds were comfortable and the WiFi was good.
The bathroom was a bit stuffy at times and needed a mat on the floor- got quite wet and dirty with sand. The road the hostel was on was very noisy and the windows were left open a lot which meant it was hard to fall asleep. Only small things and hard to avoid of course but overall a lovely stay !

Original (even unique), stylish place with a personal touch of a very helpful owner and his staff. Unlimited pancakes and tea for breakfast.
The place is cramped - from the ground floor to the terrace, unfortunately; inside you feel a bit like within a tower (well, towers are common feature of houses in Cadiz, so in a sense Casa Caracol retains character of the city) Only the reception room is really large.
