Great location Polite reception team

Twin beds were far too soft, both of us woke up with really bad backache and hip pain. Breakfast staff started crashing and banging clearing away whilst we were to enjoy our breakfast! Found this really rude!

Perfect location, lady who checked us in was lovely. Room was big clean and comfortable with an amazing walk in shower.

Booked breakfast for £17pp at the desk, got to room to see it should have been £15pp but left it as already done and not much difference. Then went to breakfast in the morning sat down and got completely ignored whilst other tables who came in after us were being asked if they wanted tea or coffee, and what type of coffee they would prefer…. when I actually got someone’s attention and asked if we could have some coffee the women was very dismissive walked away and came back with a pot of filtered coffee…. The table next to us got cappuccinos and lattes….. When we went up to the buffet all the drink holders were empty, the fry up was all cold…. For £17pp I expected a decent meal even with disappointing service.

Great location for the arena shows. The room was very clean and a comfortable bed. Hotel parking included with the superior room. This was excellent for getting into the hotel without going outside. Sky bar was lovely and food excellent. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Some staff were not very helpful. At breakfast we had to find someone to be able to order from the a la carte menu. No-one came to ask what we wanted. The bar needed more staff during busy periods. There were queues at the bar a lot of the time. Not table service. Maybe allocating a person for making the cocktails would help, instead of one person trying to do everything.

Hugely convenient for events at the BP pulse, really comfortable bed and good size room (we booked a superior room). The spa facilities were as described and the staff were really friendly.

At peak times for check in and out there was a queue and the lift capacity was lower than needed. The Sky bar was obviously understaffed at breakfast and because it was the bank holiday and no guests were in a rush to leave the already stretched staff couldn’t turn the tables over fast enough. At our 10am breakfast booking there were no clean glasses or cups for coffee, no clean tables and no working coffee machine, the two members of staff who sorted our table and orders were obviously stressed although they remained very helpful and got everything sorted in the end we really felt for them.

The place was clean and the staff were lovely. It was great to go with my daughter because the amenities around it catered to her such as Hollywood bowl and the cinema. I hope that vortex is replaced with something similar. A great place to stay with the family if you have other activities in Birmingham.

It was unfortunate that my daughter wasn't allowed access to the pool as it's a part of the spa because the place caters so well to families. I was wondering if they considered time slots as my daughter was disappointed by that. It wasn't clear on booking.com that it was restricted, my filter was family hotel with pool and this came up.

The room was comfortable, the decor was gorgeous, cleanliness was 10/10, the staff were professional, inviting and helpful, the breakfast was brilliant, we enjoyed a cocktail in the sky bar, the lift was quickly fixed after it wasn't in service, the foyer is stunning and the on site restaurants provided a nice variety of quality food, the spa was beautiful and the pool clean and well maintained, all the spa facilities were working properly and the touch of free drinks was lovely.

The cost of the VIP parking (could have been reduced slightly for the second day), the distance from the coffee machines to the eating table (for accessibility) and the size of the TV in the bedroom.

Staff were extremely helpful; my partner has poor mobility and we had an accessible room with wetroom nearest the lift and , when booking in, arrangements were made for assistance should there be an emergency. The shopping complex was also easily accessible and we enjoyed our evening meal at Zizzi's . The walk to the bpPulse was easy for my partner with everything on one level. The breakfast in the hotel was excelllent ; good value, lots of choice and everything fresh . The whole hotel was one of the cleanest we have visited. The underground car park was reasonably priced.

We did visit the Sky Bar late evening , after the show at bpPulse ,but didn't stay as it was too crowded for us.

I was unsure what to expect on arrival as was unaware that the entrance was within the shopping complex. The hotel entrance is very grand and we were met with a very friendly Adrian who checked us in and as we were travelling for my fiance’s birthday, upgraded us for which we were very grateful. Adrian was welcoming and informative and for people that haven’t been here before gave us great first impressions. The room was very spacious and luxurious, lake view and didn’t hear a sound overnight. Breakfast was basic but done well in the sky bar. Spa was lovely, hot tub not very bubbly but nice way to unwind along with the pool and sauna. No mobile policy which you sign for but everyone was using. Close enough to train into Birmingham which we did and nice, safe feel to the area when walking back to hotel early hours x

Location, facilities and access in off motorway and then access into city centre via train. Walking distance to event that we were attending.

The car park charge of £40 to stay under the hotel, otherwise the other option is the shopping centre car park which was a good walk through the shopping mall. If you had a lot of bags, children or disability not the best. Also there was no option to discuss with hotel because of security restrictions getting in. The ventilation system could not be turned off so had a constant drone noise. We were offered another room, but this was the same. Poor sleep. View was blocked with a massive vent outside also there were smells of bleach and food wharfing in the room. Never experienced the noise or smells from the ventilation system in other hotels.

The room was nice and cosy. It also had hot chocolate!? This has genuinely got to be one of the only hotels I've been to to actually have that! Which was great because that's the only hot drink that I drink. Also had room service. The food was really nice! (We ordered the pizza's 🍕) Plenty of shops in the building and restaurants to enjoy as well. Had everything you could need under one roof. I believe we had free access to the spa in the building but unfortunately we didn't get to use it this time. Maybe next time!🤞🏼

I wasn't a fan of the fact that I had to pay £50 Deposit per night on arrival. Also, the fact that you have to pay £15 per hour to extend your leaving time. Found that to be a bit extortionate.
