Great location Polite reception team

Twin beds were far too soft, both of us woke up with really bad backache and hip pain. Breakfast staff started crashing and banging clearing away whilst we were to enjoy our breakfast! Found this really rude!

The location within the Resorts World complex is great, there is everything there that you could want, plenty of restaurants, shops, cinema. The hotel is situated on the edge of the lake with lovely view and right next to NEC, so perfect for attending an event. The style and comfort of the hotel is excellent and very modern, all staff very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool and spa are excellent facilities and free to use for hotel guests with private entrance from the hotel. The breakfast is top quality with every food and drink that you could wish for and is in the restaurant on the top floor with views over the lake. The hotel private car park in the basement is well worth booking and has direct private access into the hotel. All highly recommended.

This stay was incredible! Me and my partner had a crazy few weeks at work and needed a little escape and this was just that! All the staff were incredibly sweet and welcoming and answered all my many questions I had! I had a massage treatment in the spa which was a first experience, and it was amazing (Emily was a sweetheart and made me feel so comfortable) The hotel room was spacious, clean, the bed was comfy I was fast asleep within minutes! The food room service was so tasty and so many vegan options! I will always be choosing this hotel when I come to visit birmingham! Thank you so so much - Sophie

The staff were very nice and friendly. I booked a disable access room in error and when I arrived at the reception, I was asked if I really need that and I said No. Then the lady at the reception gave me a room upgrade and i was given a room with a brilliant view. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. I ordered my breakfast to take away and received a well packaged breakfast delivered right at the time I scheduled it for. The hotel ticked all the boxes for me.

Hmmm... I'll have to think hard for this. Well, the only thing I can say i do not like is the size of their car park bays. Too tight. You have to squeeze in an out. But then, unlike some other hotels in Birmingham, the parking was free once I got my ticket validated at the hotel.

Perfect location, lady who checked us in was lovely. Room was big clean and comfortable with an amazing walk in shower.

Booked breakfast for £17pp at the desk, got to room to see it should have been £15pp but left it as already done and not much difference. Then went to breakfast in the morning sat down and got completely ignored whilst other tables who came in after us were being asked if they wanted tea or coffee, and what type of coffee they would prefer…. when I actually got someone’s attention and asked if we could have some coffee the women was very dismissive walked away and came back with a pot of filtered coffee…. The table next to us got cappuccinos and lattes….. When we went up to the buffet all the drink holders were empty, the fry up was all cold…. For £17pp I expected a decent meal even with disappointing service.

Great location for the arena shows. The room was very clean and a comfortable bed. Hotel parking included with the superior room. This was excellent for getting into the hotel without going outside. Sky bar was lovely and food excellent. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Some staff were not very helpful. At breakfast we had to find someone to be able to order from the a la carte menu. No-one came to ask what we wanted. The bar needed more staff during busy periods. There were queues at the bar a lot of the time. Not table service. Maybe allocating a person for making the cocktails would help, instead of one person trying to do everything.

The hotel was in a perfect location for the concert we were going to. The staff were nice , and the food and drink were really good and inexpensive. I would visit again for another concert .

The room size was small , with bizarrely a partially curtained wall, I think this was to give the impression of a large glass wall which was in fact a smaller glass window, looking out onto scrubland. This was fine for one night, but I wouldn't want to stay longer. The safe was broken , but after 2 visit was mended.It would also be good if we had known breakfast times, bar times, instructions for the safe etc.

Hugely convenient for events at the BP pulse, really comfortable bed and good size room (we booked a superior room). The spa facilities were as described and the staff were really friendly.

At peak times for check in and out there was a queue and the lift capacity was lower than needed. The Sky bar was obviously understaffed at breakfast and because it was the bank holiday and no guests were in a rush to leave the already stretched staff couldn’t turn the tables over fast enough. At our 10am breakfast booking there were no clean glasses or cups for coffee, no clean tables and no working coffee machine, the two members of staff who sorted our table and orders were obviously stressed although they remained very helpful and got everything sorted in the end we really felt for them.

The place was clean and the staff were lovely. It was great to go with my daughter because the amenities around it catered to her such as Hollywood bowl and the cinema. I hope that vortex is replaced with something similar. A great place to stay with the family if you have other activities in Birmingham.

It was unfortunate that my daughter wasn't allowed access to the pool as it's a part of the spa because the place caters so well to families. I was wondering if they considered time slots as my daughter was disappointed by that. It wasn't clear on booking.com that it was restricted, my filter was family hotel with pool and this came up.

Staff were extremely helpful; my partner has poor mobility and we had an accessible room with wetroom nearest the lift and , when booking in, arrangements were made for assistance should there be an emergency. The shopping complex was also easily accessible and we enjoyed our evening meal at Zizzi's . The walk to the bpPulse was easy for my partner with everything on one level. The breakfast in the hotel was excelllent ; good value, lots of choice and everything fresh . The whole hotel was one of the cleanest we have visited. The underground car park was reasonably priced.

We did visit the Sky Bar late evening , after the show at bpPulse ,but didn't stay as it was too crowded for us.
