The property is in a fantastic location and has great facilities - some stunning original features also. We thought the staff were great - attentive and professional but personable and nice all at the same time. The restaurant and bar were our favourite during the trip - the tastiest food we experienced in our 4 night stay and the best negroni sbagliato in town! The breakfast service is excellent, of a high standard and quality for a buffet offering. The pool area makes for a peaceful retreat when the beach is busy. Our only observation is that the rooms are a little dated in places but the furnishings are nice and it is a traditional hotel. Thank you for our lovely stay.

Our room was lovely, quirky (a door leading up some stairs to a roof-balcony!) and the bed was extremely comfortable. Location was amazing, right on the seafront and in the middle of the town. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Delicious cakes!

Villa Balbi is very grand and it therefore seemed a shame that some of the decor needed love and attention. There were plastic 'glasses' in the bathroom which seemed at odds with the beautiful 'feel' of the hotel.

Excellent location, very central. The breakfast very nice, lots of choice and pleasant setting. We also ate here in the evening on a couple of nights which was lovely. Food and service excellent. The room was lovely very spacious, modern and clean. The pool area was nice, particularly for a central hotel.

One 'niggle' was the hire of 5 euros per day/per person for pool towels, something we have not come across in a long time, and the cost of sunbed hire of 50 euros per person/per day on the hotel private beach. Fortunately we were a couple travelling on our own but feel this is very costly if travelling with a family.

The staff were so helpful and happy to speak in English but also happy to let us practise our Italian. Breakfast was excellent we loved the terrace and delicious selection. The location is opposite the beach and plenty of shopping and food around. We would love to stay again.

Not a big deal but something (sign) to leave on the door when you don’t want or need your room cleaned. Fresh towels every day is lovely but I feel unnecessary

A great location on the main promenade; the staff were helpful and friendly, and very patient while we practised our italian; breakfast was plentiful. Evening drinks on the terrace while people-watching was a delight. The car park was well sited and it was interesting to see an array of smart sports cars each day. The hotel pool was large enough and not overly busy.

Non-dairy products (oat milk, non-butter spread) would have been helpful to complement the fresh fruit, toast & jam options for vegans. The use of sunbeds/umbrella on the private beach was a bit hefty at 50 euros a day.

excellent location, on the seashore and close to the old town. The hotel is a historical building, the lobby, the staircase, everything makes you feel like you're in a museum, at the same time being very comfortable. Upon arrival we received a room update, a suite on the roof with a wonderful view of the sea and the area, practically 2 rooms, although we only used one but this update was a pleasant surprise and we appreciated it. The hotel has a beautiful garden where breakfast can be served and also a swimming pool. The private beach is across the street, it was under construction when we were there, but the weather wasn't good either, so we didn't benefit on it

nice to have a more varied breakfast with vegetables and seasonal fruits. Parking is expensive (15 euros/day)

This hotel was absolutely beautiful, I loved everything about it. The ambiance inside and outside the hotel was stunning!! The staff were amazing, the location is amazing and Sestri Levante is even more beautiful than Portofino. The hotel has it’s own private beach and lockers for guests, however doesn’t open until a certain date. My husband who loved Portofino and has been there a few times, now loves Sestri Levante even more for the fact it is a little more bigger the town and less touristy. I would come back here and to this hotel in a heartbeat, this hotel offers everything!!

There is nothing I didn’t like.

We stayed with you for 1 week and we LOVED everything about your hotel - the location, amazing stylish beautiful venue, super friendly staff (every person!), tasty breakfasts, lovely dinner with live music on the restaurant terrace, cosy sunbathing and pool area, great pool, wonderful music choice in the restaurant area, and, once again - wonderful staff! Thank you! Gracie! We will definitely come back to your hotel and suggest to all our friends!

We loved everything.

The breakfast was excellent with a really good selection catering for all tastes. The location was superb being in the heart of Sestri Levante with all facilities in easy reach. The room was comfortable and clean with private ensuite. The staff were excellent : friendly and professional. I would easily stay here again.

This hotel has a perfect location in the city center with lots of restaurants around and the beach across the road. The beach is with additional charge, as well as the parking. The room is of a good size, shower is comfortable. The room was very clean and the staff is very kind and helpful.
