Actually after visiting we have been offered to stay in Villanova do Fonte downtown, for the same price. It was very hot thus we preferred the option with air conditioning and close by the ocean. All the local team was very helpful and understanding.

You couldn't keep the windows open in the rooms because of the Peacocks, maybe a different solutuon has to be found, because it is nice to get the night fresh air))

A nice and friendly farm next to the village but still close to everything. The offroad wasn't so bad, and we found the house easily. The staff was really helpful and nice, and the animal feeding was a heartwarming experience. There is no common kitchen for the simple rooms, but we asked for cutlery and plates from the main kitchen and could enjoy our fruits and breakfast on the room's own terrace. We could park really close to the room, and there were plenty parking space for the rooms. We were a bit worried about the weather as we visited the place in march, but there was a heating device in the room (Although we didn't have to use it). The room was clean, and the shower had plenty hot water. The room also had a small seating area and a small terrace.

The pheasants can be loud at night (however we rather found their screams funny than annoying), but a simple earplug can solve the problem if you're a light sleeper.

Room was heated for us upon arrival and two dog cushions on the floor and two dog bowls for water and food. Exceptionally relaxed staff in regards to our dogs. We travelled with a large dog and a medium sized dog. Staff made us feel very welcome. We left the dogs for a few hours in the room and upon return were informed that everything went well in regards with the dogs. Staff very friendly with children. Variety of animals. Great for kids to go inside the animal enclosure during feeding time from 10am to 11am.

The dirt road to get to the location. I was not aware and would not have booked it if I had known. On one occation we had to drive through water which was deep as it had rained a lot the days before.

Calm and relaxed place.Staff made you feel like part of the family.The animals are super well kept and in tune with the whole experience!The adjacent horse ride service are the cherry on the top and their caretaker is a natural born talent.Thank you all for the experience, I'll happily recommend for family and total disconnect from daily stress.

Granddaughter birthday and was great for children. Lots of animals to feed, ladies who looked after the horses were lovely and helped the children groom the horses. Staff were very friendly and made a fuss of the children. Staff always smiling.

Food very basic, no where to buy a drink during the day, but had fridge in room for own drinks. Definitely needed a car as 20 minute drive to town. Very dark coming down the track at night.

Very comfortable room, but it did need air conditioning..even with the desk fan running it was very hot. Breakfasts excellent - good range of food and good coffee [often a poor area at breakfast in Portuguese hotels] wi fi worked well

Even in October the temperatures were very high. The patio doors failed to tilt back whilst remaining secure, and so the room could not be ventilated overnight. Air con needed. Signage - there is no way of identifying the access track when coming from the east [Sao Luis] The signs from the west could be clearer. A map to show location of the registration hotel in Milfontes would have been useful Access road corrugated - the worst dirt road of many used in my trip-. it shook the car violently

The place is wonderful, surrounded by trees and silence, with a vast area where peacocks roam freely. The room was comfortable, and since we stayed in winter, the heaters were on, making it very warm and cozy. We had breakfast, which was quite tasty and diverse. The only inconvenience was having to go to a nearby hotel from the same chain to check in, but overall, it wasn’t a big issue.

Nothing, all was good

Amazing quiet green animal and forest kingdom. Great room, all needed is there. Stuff was super friendly, however most of the people at the spot speak only Portuguese (the horse lady speaks English and can help if she's around). There is a contact zoo and horse ride available. Beautiful place, great source of calmness and oxygen. Pool available.

Keep in mind that the last 1,5 km to the property is a dirty road, well passable though. I didn't like an issue with checking-in in different hotel (kind of main one), and in the hotel you'll be met by cleaning lady, who's super friendly, but doesn't say a word in English. Also if you have any issues with your booking you can't resolve it on the spot, have to call to the main reception in different location (in my case I expected to find a kitchenette in my room, it wasn't there, and i had to negotiate that by phone. It appeared that not all rooms in the hotel have a kitchen, only apartments. However, there is a fridge in the room and pot, tea, and microwave available per request.

The place divided our friend group and most of my positives were negatives for some of us. I absolutely loved the houses, they had an old look which i adore. But probably because of the age, insulation was not the best and it was very cold (we stayed in january). I also loved the animal sounds in the evening which were disturbing for some. But the location was great in a secluded part of the countryside, the breakfast was good and of course the animals walking around was a highlight.

It was pretty cold and we only had one spaceheater and a stove in the living room. Could have had more blankets at least.

The property is great and the staff at the property were lovely.

The property is run by a larger management company who are very unhelpful. You have to check in 20km from the property at another site. There is no effective online check in process. They are unresponsive to communication and have terrible customer service.
