Modern chain hotel in Central location.

Rooms are small and minimalistic but typical of chain hotels. Some flexibility needs to occur with checkin times when rooms are ready, otherwise at 2pm the foyer is overrun with people waiting to check in. It is no expense to hotel costs by allowing guests to check in at NO cost, as most go out quickly to explore town. Most other chain hotels have allowed this flexibility all through Europe with no charge. If rooms are free then don't be mean and money hungry and allow guests entry.

The hotel is modern and its location is convenient. Very close to the city center, a bus stop and two supermarkets. Snacks and beverages can be purchased at the lobby. My room was nice. I liked that the wi-fi was free and fast. The personnel was friendly and helpful.

I wish the there was an electric tea kettle in every room. You can get hot water for tea at the reception but I found it inconvenient that I had to leave my room and go to the lobby every time I wanted to make tea.

Great location, quiet hotel and rooms and very close to 7/Eleven that is open 24h a day. In case you don't want to shop there for breakfast, the hotel also has some ready made breakfast bags you can take

The location is excellent. 5-10 min walk to most of the pick up points for the tours. 1 street off the Main Street. 1 street off the AirPort Express/local bus routes. Half a block from grocery store. Has some food & drinks and coffee/beer for purchase at reception. Good size room although the bed is up against a wall, hard to get in and out.

There is a temp control in the room but we couldn’t get it to turn down. It only went from 22.3 to 22.9C which was too warm for us. We were only in the room to sleep.

For the price we paid (we booked months in advance), this was absolutely great! The room was small, with the bed stretching all the way from one wall to the other, but it was fine for one person. There was even a small table with a chair to do some work. Location is right on the edge of the center, so easy access to everything. The shower was not big, but just big enough. Good noise insulation from other rooms and from the corridor, but there is some noise from the streets. The spiky tires are noisy and the snow scrapers are even worse. There is no breakfast and no parking at the hotel, but they offer vouchers for a rally good breakfast buffet at a nearby hotel and parking is possible at the tunnel parking (24/7 but expensive) or at the nearby shopping center (closed at night, but much cheaper).

It was a bit warm in the room (22°C) and it's not possible to regulate the heat. You can open the window a bit, but then you get even more street noise.

I really liked the overall vibe here. The main lobby / reception area was welcoming and also a great place to just hang out. The hotel was clean and up-to-date. I didn't think the comforter would be thick enough for an always cold person like me, but it was really warm and cozy. Also, the hotel was in a great location, a little separate from the other larger hotels in the area, so it didn't feel like everyone on your street was a tourist. Staff was always friendly and helpful too.

I knew the rooms did not have a safe / lockbox, and I didn't really need it on this trip. (Not needing large sums of cash and carrying passport for various tours.) But still, it would have been nice to have.

Bed, room

For comfort need to change place for eating, people use bring food and Microwave situated in resepsjon and table for eating in other side, it is very uncomfortable...

Excellent location: literally minutes’ walking from the airport bus stop, tour-group bus terminus, Harbour area, local mall, EuroSpar supermarket, 7-Eleven and loads of bars & restaurants literally allowed around the corner. Check-in process was easy and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The lobby area has a bit of a hostel feel to it, so there’s always a buzzing vibe there. A coffee bar and convenience counter with snacks & drinks are available on site. There’s also a travel kiosk for booking tours in the reception area, which I utilise at short notice and their service and tour experience ended up being better than that of more established tour agencies in the city, and also with the same price offering (¡Gracias Paula!) Rooms are comfortably enough for a short stay but could most likely feel cramped for more days, especially for two guests with large luggage. There’s not much hanging space for clothing available, although one could assumedly request more hangers in order to utilise the wall hooks more effectively. Towels & bedding were clean, with basic toiletries available in the bathroom, all of which was sufficient at this point when compared with the general cost of accommodation in Tromsø.

There really isn’t anything that I could or would complain about at this price point.

The location is perfect. It was excellent value for money, although I booked 6 months in advance. The room had a decent view over the port (see pictures).

When we entered the room we found it boiling hot with a bit of the window open. The heating was very high (felt like 30 degrees C in the room) and we could not decrease the from the controller. We asked reception how to cool down the room since the temperature controller was not working. She suggested we opened the window. This was very disappointing, especially from an hotel which boast to be sustainable and reduce cleaning to avoid waste. Also, I was ok with cleaning the room every 4 days, however the handsoap was not filled up, therefore after the first day we were without handsoap.

I give 10/10 for location, cleanliness and facilities. The lobby communal space is great place to interact with other travelers. The vibe is friendly and relax. Staff are all very friendly, helpful and approachable. There are hot water and microwave in the lobby so it is good if you bought meals from the supermarket. If you would like to have meals in your room, then it may feel troublesome. There is a desk for northern light tour you can join. Room is a bit small for 2 pax. But this is a value for money hotel. Huge space is not expected of. Especially appreciate the self drop off luggage store room. Though a risk that someone mistakenly took you luggage, it makes our travel plan much easier.

The room warmer cannot adjust to any hotter. So best to have a light jacket. But the duvet will keep you sweating.
