Lovely location, stunning views and very comfortable hotel, with lots of nice touches and superb breakfasts. It is away from the town centre, which we preferred, but still very walkable and quite a lot of things (beach, galleries/museums, restaurants, parks, lighthouse, etc) are in the immediate vicinity. We appreciated it being a relatively small hotel.

The only thing I would really fault is the rather weak wifi, in some public areas but also in our particular room. Sometimes I resorted to using data on my phone.

Loved the patio off the room and small garden of the room. Staff very helpful and friendly.

The hotel is on the rocks so no direct access to water front. Lack of outside relaxing space with shade. The bar was fine but seats uncomfortable for long periods of relaxation. The breakfast was excellent but the restaurant was all fusion cooking. My wife has an allergy to chile and hot spices so we could not eat there.

Room was very comfortable and well maintained. Marvellous breakfast and Reception staff.

We were originally offered a room on the top floor. This had ceiling huge beams/rafters at the bottom of the bed which would have been very dangerous, especially during the night, as it would have been necessary to duck under and around the beams every time you moved around the room. Another room was found which was excellent, but if they had not offered us a different room we would have not been able to stay in this hotel. Restaurant menu was very fancy, unless you wanted Sushi. Service at poolside bar was extremely slow and staff seemed inexperienced. In this bar on several days importance was put on serving wedding parties and it appeared there was a shortage of staff for other guests.

Where to start! We had an AMAZING experience at the Farol Hotel for our honeymoon. We were upgraded to a beautiful room with a terrace and fantastic sea view and watched the sunset with a bottle of champagne. The breakfast was outstanding and the service truly impeccable. So thankful to the entire Farol team who made our stay so special! The location is also wonderful, just a quick walk into downtown Cascais- but lovely sea views and pool for the ultimate relaxing stay. 10/10!

The design rooms aren’t for everyone. They’re very bold, but super interesting

Breakfast had amazing choice, with views of sea. The pool was amazing to relax at and be right beside the sea. Location was perfect quiet but easy walk to town and beach. Room was spacious and had brilliant shower and again sea views and turndown service was excellent

The bikes for rental at the hotel needed some upkeep but we got some from a nearby rental shop!

Rooms were very comfortable and the ocean view was the best! Breakfast buffet is very good. We had delicious dinner at the Mediterranean restaurant, my daughters could also order Sushi there. This is an excellent boutique hotel in a great location for sightseeing and other restaurants.

We have liked everything this hotel offers.

The room view is breath taking. the breakfast service on those days was great, and we got lucky enough to see dolphins swimming. the cocktails were delicious and the prices were fair. Reception staff was outstanding, i wanted to stay an extra day and they found a solution as fast as humanly possible to a price that made me forgot how much it even was.

the pillows could be improved. the windows need maintenance.

Fantastic hotel, beautiful ocean views, perfectly located by the ocean, yet close to city center, nice restaurant with good local dishes, good variety of foods for breakfast, breakfast on the terrace facing ocean views. Rented bikes at the hotel and enjoyed the biking path by the ocean right from the hotel to Guincho beach..

Might be a bit noisy in the evening with people dining and staying late in the restaurant and bar (our rooms were just above), so closed the balcony to avoid the noise.. The pool is nit heated, so might be cold for some in May..

This exceeded our expectations. Our room was wonderful, with our own private veranda. The food was fresh and beautifully presented. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. It's in a great location for exploring Cascais but felt peaceful and restful, especially by the pool. We definitely will return

Staff at the hotel were amazing! Helped us with issues we had and made our stay a positive and happy experience. Polite and friendly too. All in all can’t say enough about them. They were great!!
