a last min booking made due to a missed connection. Paul responded quickly over the app. Intercepted us curb side after we got off the uber and led us straight to our rooms. Room has no AC (nor does anyone in the same class) but they do have a Dyson fan. The room was hot when we arrived but I cannot fault them for that, we booked the room less than an hour ago. Bed was supportive with good quality mattress and beddings. Room is beautifully decorated with pictures of the area not some random abstract artwork. Woke up past breakfast time but Paul still kindly catered to our breakfast request. Beautifully prepared breakfast that was made to order. Coffee was good too from a french press. we also used the shuttle service which was seamless. Everything was just easy and effortless, and there are thoughtful details everywhere you look, the local artwork, the smart toilet, butter thats served in its own glass jar rather than the small plastic disposable ones. The little details are not much on their own but when put together they separate themselves from the average B&B experience by a long way imho and you can tell the owners do put a lot of effort into the place.

did not do an objective test but internet was a little sluggish at times. shower temperature was hard to control but Paul is aware of the issue and I was told upgrade is on its way.

The lodge is beautiful inside and out! very close to Heathrow airport however we did not hear any planes! The Breakfast was yummy eggs benedict and a full English both cooked beautifully cooked, well presented and served in our room on time!. Our room overlooked the lovely manicured garden and Victorian greenhouse. The property is well decorated throughout very clean with lots of indoor plants. Our bedroom was super clean and comfortable with lovely crisp linen and supper soft towels and a range of toiletries and tooth brushes in the ensuite with a power shower. There was a selection of teas, coffees, hot chocolate and biscuits with China cups and saucers, wine glasses, tumblers, plates and cutlery in the cupboard. There was chocolates on the bedside tables what a nice touch. Thank you Paul It was lovely to chat with you and stay with you at The Lodge! home from home!

Nothing! Everything was excellent much better than the boring hotels around the airport. This is our go to place now when flying from Heathrow.

Paul was really friendly and helpful with our check-in and any other queiries we had. The hotel itself was lovely - the room was neat and very nicely decorated, with all the essentials you need and a nice wee garden outside. Was lovely having a dyson fan and shutters, especially as it's hot and bright during the summertime. Good transport links are available nearby to travel into the city. Breakfast was tasty too! Wouldn't hesistate to recommend the lodge :)

It's a bit further out from the city centre, but again, travel links are easy to get to!

WOW ! What a a fantastic stay . We came all the way from Liverpool to stay here as we were attending Thorpe park for our daughter 13th birthday . Paul was so lovely . Made us feel right at home and nothing was too much trouble for him . Perfect home from home stay for us . Beds were comfortable . Breakfast was amazing . Very clean and tidy . Ideal for us to attend Thorpe park but for us to not have been right on top of it . Very quiet location we slept like babies for 2 nights . Thanks so much Paul . Will definitely see you again soon . Just do it! The Lodge Stanwell is a gem. There is a beautiful garden that our room overlooked for a lovely view. We instantly felt at home, the room has a little table and chairs by the window with the garden view and it’s very serene. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was gorgeous. Paul is a fantastic host and he even drove us to the airport to catch an early morning flight (for a very reasonable fee). Upon our request and much to our delight, we got to meet Alfie, Paul’s sweet parrot, too. The Lodge is also walking distance to a few spots to eat and we enjoyed our walk and meal very much. Paul’s packed lunches were perfect for our trip the next day, too. It’s a very sweet spot that’s only a 5 minute drive from Heathrow’s Terminal 5 and not much more to Terminal 4. Yet, you feel like you’re in a different world than the airport and chain hotels which is so refreshing. So pleased we stayed here!

Not a fault of the hotel, but the area is a little tired looking. No iron or ironing board in room Water pressure in shower was ok, but not what I have got used to at home

The host is really friendly and the room was cosy, comfortable and clean. The location was ideal for an overnight stay for a Terminal 5 flight. A 1 minute walk led us to a bus stop with a direct ride (11 minutes) to Terminal 5. We also parked our car at Stanwell Lodge for 6 days, at a much cheaper price than at the airport. We took the opportunity to drive to Windsor (20 mins) and had a meal within views of Windsor Castle. All in all, very convenient. We will definitely come again if we need to fly from Heathrow!

Used The Lodge for overnight stay after evening arrival at Heathrow T5. It was a great choice . Paul was really helpful organising personal shuttle pick up. Next day the local bus stop was just outside , making easy journey back to T5 for onward journey . Really liked all the personal touches to make my stay a home from home . Room was spacious , comfortable and everything very clean . Paul made everything feel very welcoming . It had everything needed for an overnight stay . They will serve you a cooked breakfast in your room if you want one . Lots of thought has gone into making this not your average anonymous hotel room . Loved the plants in my room - someone has very green fingers ! The Lodge is full of character and set in a lovely cottage garden .

Loved everything, Paul was an awesome host, nothing was ever any trouble, bed was so comfortable as well as a selection of different pillows 👌🏻breakfasts were delicious & very generous in size. You wouldn’t know you were so close to the airport it was so quiet. Had the pleasure of meeting Alfie the parrot & Monty the cat as well. Paul also drove us to the airport for a small fee of £25, very definitely well worth it as the bus only takes you to terminal 5 & then you need to catch public transport to the other terminals.
