Vanessa and Graham were great hosts. We stayed in unit 1, the smaller of 3 units, and spent 2 nights there. Swan house was in a great location , 15 min walk for us into town. The local vineyards were accessible either by bikes provided by the hosts, walking distance, or the local Martinbourogh Wine tour company will collect you from the accommodation. Continental breakfast is provided with fruit and fresh milk and orange juice. Graham also made husband own cookies, which were delicious. There is free parking on site, too. Vanessa heard us saying we were missing decorating our house for Christmas and she brought us some decorations for the unit.
...... nothing to dislike......

This was a fantastic unit with easy access to lots of wineries. There were several you could walk to or alternatively bikes were available to borrow. If wine isn't your thing then there is Tohi Gin House which did excellent gin flights and delicious Thai food. There is also a local brewery with a taproom. Martinborough is a great place to visit and this unit was a lovely base. The hosts were very friendly and the breakfast provided each morning was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and hope to be able to visit again.

Lovely and clean. Mum and I were upgraded so we were really impressed. The breakfast was awesome and we had everything we needed. We loved the Christmas tree and lights and the table and deckchairs were great especially since it was a lovely day. It was close to town. Graeme was very pleasant and once he'd showed us to our room he just left us to it. It was nice and quiet.Highly recommended 😊
We felt guilty not being able to do the dishes but we did try and clean what we used but it was no bother and we'd go back

Loved the space of the room and all the thoughtful extras like home baking, different hot drinks and bathroom items. Great location and I loved the idea of the bikes. Breakfast was simple but delicious lots to choose from including juice. Owners were friendly and nothing was a problem even when I accidentally spilt my coffee on the carpet! Great recommendations for dining.
Shower needs a bit more pressure but was still nice and hot

Great place to stay in Martinborough. The host met us on arrival and was very attentive but not overbearing. The room itself was large and comfortable with nice touches like a selection of snacks (including homemade biscuits) and earlier check-in than usual (1pm vs the usual 2pm). The breakfast selection was also great. There was a lovely shared deck out the front of the units and the grounds themselves are well-kept. The accommodation was a short 10-minute walk to the Square and located on a quiet side street so it was nice and quiet.
There wasn't a dedicated sink in the kitchenette area so filling up the jug, rinsing dishes, etc. needed to be done in the bathroom down the other end of the room but this couldn't be helped.

Fantastic hospitality, lovely hosts. Upgraded on arrival, which was a nice surprise, very kind of the hosts. Lots of little extras, teas, homemade cookies, chocolate, which was generous and thoughtful. Room was lovely, had everything you needed. Nice seating area outside and beautiful garden. Quiet location and short walk to the centre for eating places. Will go back again to explore the area and wouldn't hesitate to rebook the Swan.
No negatives

The breakfast was included in the room price it was a selection of cereals or muesli, grapefruit juice, toast with good choice of spreads, pottle of peaches from a can and yoghurt. Coffee and tea was a wide selection. A couple of homemade biscuits, some lollies in a jar and a couple of little chocolate fish. For once there was a reasonably sized bottle of milk in the fridge, I hate it when other places give a few tiny sachets. I particularly loved the outdoor decks with good varied seating choices and the beautiful Summer cottage gardens. Flowers abundant and very pretty at night when the lights came on.

Vanessa and Graeme were lovely. We stayed there on October, 30th, and they brought us homemade cookies and even some halloween decor to get in the Halloween spirit! The room was very spacious and very comfy. For breakfast, they left us bead (toaster was in the room as well), various spreads, orange juice, coffee, milk, a choice of cereal, some snacks and fruit. It was all in the room which was very convenient for us.
If I have to complain about something, the only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the shower and specifically the shower curtain. You inevitably get all the bathroom floor wet which is a bit of a pain. It is a small thing though, and it doesn't change my positive experience staying here!

Absolutely loved our stay at Swan house! The room had plenty of space for our family of four including a baby. The beds were some of the most comfortable we have ever slept in! Beautiful grounds and outdoor area to sit in the sun with a wine or morning coffee. Delicious muesli and cookies on arrival, fresh OJ, snacks, bread, and even Easter eggs as we were there over the weekend! Lovely friendly hosts and very helpful when I left an item behind at getting it returned to me. Hope to be back!

Loved the homemade cookies and little breakfast options provided. It’s really nice to be able to move around town with the complimentary bikes provided, very fun! And can’t forget Ozy (not sure that’s how it’s spelled), the house cat. The loveliest and cutest! He snuggled on the patio with us whilst we made use of the blankets available while stargazing.
