The Lodge was easy to get to as it was situated along the main road in Masterton. Accessible to amenities around yet private and tranquil. The bed was super comfy and we slept really well. Staff was really friendly, helpful and accommodating. Good WiFi which really helped us in searching up well rated cafes and there was one just within walking distance -The Coffee Ride Cafe. The Lodge is also really close to The Clareville Bakery along SH 2 towards Carterton. We also enjoyed the TV programmes which they had available on their network.

The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean and smelled nice.

The room was very dated - especially the bathroom. Can't remember if there was hot chocolate satches with the tea/coffee but it would be great to have this option for guests who don't drink either. We had some difficulty getting the heat pump to operate properly and there didn't appear to be clear instructions how to use it. Also, we are finding in more hotels we stay at, that glasses/cups get stored on the highest shelf and placed right at the back of the cupboard - making it difficult to reach for guests of a smaller heigh.

The layout was cool, kids upstairs, room serviced daily, very friendly host. Ability to warm the room quickly with heatpump. Good parking, comfortable accommodation thank you

Shower had great pressure, though wet floor design left the whole bathroom floor wet after. Host was great with feedback and made extra effort to try to resolve this. Condensation inside windows in the morning.

We got a warm welcome and given an orientation of the property and facilities. The reception staff was very attentive and answered all our questions and even sorted a room close to reception for an easier checkout. The suite was clean, had everything we needed and was cosy and warm. The internet was blistering fast and the room had a great 50 inch television which was a boon on a cold evening.

Couldn't fault the place - everything we needed and more.

We had a one-bedroom suite. It was huge. Plenty of space. Good heat pump to keep us warm. Very comfortable stay.

The fittings are a bit dated (like from the 1970s), but functional. Could do with more plug points in more convenient locations, e.g., there was no plug point near one side of the bed, and the plug point in the lounge was in a strange (inconvenient spot). Minor hassles really.

It was spacious with a great outlook and lovely beds and bedding. The heating was excellent and we had everything we needed.

Perhaps in the future the washers on the taps get replaced as the taps were showing signs of wear and tear.

Lots of space for 2 friends travelling. French door access to a shared garden. Clean. Refurbished wet room/bathroom.. Nice bedding. Able to circulate air upstairs by opening the windows. Is on a main road, so some traffic noise.

Well presented room - clean & tidy. Bathroom a little dated but totally fine. Toilet button - one was missing. Very quiet location

Would have been helpful to have an "Information folder" - local attractions/good eating places etc.

Large room, good size tv, pool (although too cold for us to swim) great grounds and guest laundry. Staff/owner very courteous and friendly with good communication.

Exceptional help from staff. Cleaners and manager. All very personable. Quick to respond to requests for assistance, and happy to do so. Charming place to stay...a definite retreat feel about the place. Love it!

Just the distance to town.. nearer the outer of town than CBD. Can't pinpoint any other faults or issues. It's a big property and feels very spacious in and outside.
