This is the most complete package you could ever imagine. Easy to find, clean, comfortable, peaceful, great country atmosphere, lots of room , great kitchenette , seperate bathroom ( fully stocked ) and seperate bedroom, a fully stocked laundry, and kitchen cupboards stocked with an amazing array of kitchen supplies ( enough for occupants to create meals for themselves ) ….so thoughtful ….so amazing….THANKYOU SO MUCH.

Beautiful country views and just a few kilometers out of Upper Hutt so nice n close to town if you need any supplies. Barbara was very hospitable and lovely and and also gave us complete privacy. Very quiet and tranquil. Great place to wind down and relax. The miniature horses are so nice and cute haha loved them. Lastly there is a outside bar area Wich is amazing.. has everything you need from outdoor heaters to dart boards.. highly recommend!

That we only had one night to stay.. we would live there if we could!!

The cottage is situated on a beautiful block of land with views of the hills and paddocks. There were chickens roaming the property and wild rabbits in the paddock as the sun came up and went down. The veranda that ran around the house was just lovely as you could sit out at any time of the day and soak up the sun. Just loved the relaxing vibe of the cottage

The whole process was very easy...lovely place with a beautiful morning view of the misty mountains.... My privacy was respected from start to finish..much appreciated the milk and cookies..... I enjoyed the view of two ponies and little rabbits running freely in the paddock......

I wasn't there longer..... The quiet....the surroundings were magnificent....when you live in the city area...it's such a blessing to be in a nice lovely getaway.....

Nice and close to Birchville, private and nicely furnished. Well equipped with comfy bed and lovely linen. The Shetland ponies and freerange chooks were most entertaining for our wee grandson. Cosy and comfortable and the eggs were delicious. Nice outlook over paddocks and bushline.

Some towels were rather scratchy and there were no flannels. But not a biggie!

Quiet, peace, remote cottage with a grand farm view from both balcony and bedroom. Only 5-10 mins drive to Rivendell and Hartcourt Park makes it a huge bonus for LOTR fans. The kitchen cooker hood is very useful when we cooked at night and did not want to open windows letting bugs in. We bought carrots to feed the horses and ponies and they all loved it. However the biggest one was too oppressive that it kept kicking others away.

The washing machine is a bit out of date and needs some cleanliness. The fridge makes noise from time to time (at first we thought it was horse's snore lol).

This place could NOT have been more adorable. From the moment we walked through the door, we knew we’d made a great choice. And we were SO bummed to only be able to stay one night— we would’ve happily stayed far longer. Here’s what we especially liked: 1) Very cute decor inside. Not just thrown together: it’s clear that real thought went into making it attractive and welcoming. 2) Spotlessly clean throughout. 3) Heat lamp in the bathroom, so you’re warm when you exit the shower. 4) Great shower! 5) Excellent kitchen— full size everything. 6) Some provisions on hand for you to use, including milk, coffee, sugar, etc. 7) There’s a beautiful little private back porch that looks down over a forested hillside. There are also horses and chickens in the yard— very cute. 8) The place is completely self-contained. You have your own private house to yourself. 9) Belinda, the owner, is great. She messaged me the day before my arrival to give me explicit instructions on how to find the place and where my key would be. I didn’t have to see anyone to check in and out. All in all, we LOVED this place. 10/10. Would stay again!

We really enjoyed our night here. We were warm with the fireplace and double glazed windows. The ponies were quite social and we loved playing darts and Yahtzee. The view was private and serene. We'll definitely be back.

The driveway could be better, pot whole at the beginning of drive and a gate that needs repair, in manual car wheel spun going up BUT DON'T LET THAT PUT YOU, IT IS MINOR, it was worth the stay and would happily stay there again

Perfect loation for riding the Remutaka Incline to the Summit. We were even told to leave our vehicle at their place for safety rather than using the car park. Everything we needed was supplied. Thank you.
