Welcoming very helpful staff. A lovely, spacious room, close to shops and cafes and the beach. Great to have a spa bath and to have a comfortable couch etc for relaxing, and a small kitchen area.

The room is quite vulnerable to noise being very close to the railway crossing where trains pass frequently. We could constantly hear the sound of the level crossing bells etc until quite late at night. Also it was a very hot weekend and so lots of ventilation needed at night etc. We had a fan but air conditioning would have made all the difference. Also the room needs net curtaining as it is right opposite the village cafes etc. We felt a bit exposed moving around our room in the early morning on full view to those across the street enjoying their coffees!!

Great bar, snack meals, staff hard working and very friendly. Rooms large and clean and modern and fantastic shower. Owner showed us around the complex instead of just giving us the key and fend for ourselves. There was a lift for us (in our 70's) and taking up bags.

We were in room 2, which is like an adjoined annex. There was one window to open about 10cm as the beer garden was below, and no balcony. The room heat was over-powering. Fans had been provided, but mostly blew around the hot air. I suggest a ceiling fan or air con. Our only issue with our stay.

Very large, comfortable room with comfy chairs and a large bed. Also, a balcony, (chairs included) with a view looking out to the street. There is a large lift (suitable for wheel chairs) that takes you straight to the outdoor back car park.

The fan in the bathroom was very loud as was the water coming through, which you could easily hear through the wall. Access to rooms was not the best as you need to go outside to get back into the restaurant and bar. This would not be a problem over summer but the weather was terrible that weekend. The back entrance into the restaurant could do with a tidiy up.

Convenient and well situated in town centre for eating out and close to beach. Room was spacious and decent bathroom. Food in restaurant was quite good and not bad value.

Kitchenette basic, not well equipped, no knife and couldn't even open the coffee sachets which didn't have a tear strip. Noise from trains and crossing nearby might put some people off.

Only a bit more noisy in the restaurant with Television on for sports but you would expect that.

Really lovely room. Lots of space. Room was clean and tidy. Bathroom was clean and the shower had great water pressure. Bed was comfortable, sheets were clean.

The heater in the room was a bit noisy, and I felt it wasn't big enough to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. The bathroom needs a handle bar to get in and out of the bath/shower.

This was a lovely large room in a very cute township with bakery and lovely pizza place across the road, short walk to beach and easy access from train. The staff were super friendly and nice. The restaurant/bar downstairs had a lovely atmosphere and noise was cut off at a reasonable hour. No issues sleeping. Would love to come back here again. The food was also excellent!

Everything! Staff are amazing every time we come. The rooms are clean, cosy and comfortable. The spa bath is an added bonus! Also, so many delicious food options within the Paekākāriki township.

Could do with some privacy shades for the rooms overlooking the township. Other than that, it’s perfect!

Great spot very handy to everything. The staff were lovely and friendly, meal was great in the restaurant and the room was really comfortable.

Maybe need a sign to show the driveway to parking and a bit more parking would be good. Just found the tap pipe on the handbasin and when the toilet filled up were quite noisy.
