Our 1-bedroom unit is freshly renovated, very clean and bright. The host, Mr Hart is very accommodating and helpful in meeting our needs in all aspects during our stays. He has service for washing and drying laundry within 2 hours. And really grateful for his generosity in extending our check out time as we were only catching our flight at night. The location is excellent for our purpose as we need a place closeby to the Wellington North Badminton Centre. Everything is walking distance for us, from the event venue, to the shopping at Outlet mall, train station outside the doorstep, and also to the Countdown.

Spacious and attractive suite, comfy bed, great location, welcoming manager. Nice kitchenette with all the amenities.

During the week the trains passing were quite noisy, at night, and early morning. We stayed 2 separate nights. Our first room's (#1) bathroom had black whiskers (probably from a brush) everywhere, which was not very pleasant. The second room's (#7) shower head was quite bad. The free-internet is through an external provider, requiring registration, which is both annoying, and didn't work from 2 of our devices.

Location easy access to the main highway, train stop right next door. Ability to use transport was right there if needed. The best property manager (now known to our whānau as uncle) was very easy to approach, easy going and catered to our large bookings needs throughout our stay. As long as uncle is there our whānau will continue to book if we are down that way again.

Parking is quite difficult/tight (large van) but felt secure. There is parking at the entrance of the property (park area) would not feel as secure parking there but there if needed.

We were upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom unit as we had stayed there before. It has everything we needed and is comfy and in a good location. We came home one night to find the manager had come in earlier and turned the heaters on for us. It's so nice to stay in a great place with friendly people who go the extra mile.

It's right beside the railway line so you do hear the trains. However, ear plugs are provided and you do get used to the trains.

No fuss, check in. We had just completed a 2 week tour of Te Waipounamu and unfortunately, the Interislander was delayed, we didn't reach Bucket Tree Lodge, till approx 1am. Our host was very accomodating and made our check in so fuss free. We were grateful to return to a lovely, clean large spacious place, which also had a private separate toilet, which helped make our stay more enjoyable. We were also offered a late check out for no extra cost. Thank you so very much for our lovely stay, we would highly recommend this place to all

A short distance from the Interislander ferry; has everything one needs; cosy and comfortable…

Some of the bedding (quilt) was stained; the (short cut) access track to the car park at the rear of the motel needs to be properly paved and have steps put in and if possible a couple of solar lights to mark the way- it is a bit dangerous for anyone who is not very sure footed

Staff were very helpful and friendly when trying to arrange emergency / last minute accommodation when ferry sailings were cancelled. This is a good halfway house to stay over when travelling between north and south island to stay over in the event of cancelled ferry sailings. Facility is conveniently located close to the motorway, close to town for ferry sailings, and was very clean and comfortable. All amenities were good and like new.

Location was perfect for us. The manager was most accommodating and friendly. Gave us an early check in which was really helpful. Good parking on site. The room was warm and had heaps of room. Would definitely stay here again.

Some reviews have mentioned the noise from trains passing but did not bother us at all.

The staff were wonderful! They went above and beyond, changing our towels and emptying the rubbish bins daily. We especially appreciated them keeping the room warm for our baby while we were out. Comfortable beds, great location for us.

Trains were quite loud however you get used to them after awhile.
