Everything was excellent, except we couldn't manage to get the heating working (entirely our own fault) so spent rather a cold night. The desk staff were very obliging, especially when I wanted to take a bottle of wine to a friend and the night manager lent me a very nice wine bag to carry it in! The parking at the supermarket wasn't too far away and it was good to know the parking there was locked at night. When we stay in Wellington we usually leave our vehicle parked the whole time and take taxis, so when I asked if it was possible to go across the road to the hospital to get a taxi the desk staff ordered one to the door. very nice on a wet cold night! Thank you Sojourn Hotel, we will be back.

The Sojourn Riddiford is quite new. The room facilities are excellent, they've thought of everything you'd need; cooking facilities, dishwasher, microwave, iron & board, coffee machine, kettle, crockery, cooking utensils, pots etc. and cutlery even welcome chocolates in the room. Nice sized rooms which are exceptionally clean and very quiet. The hotel is also accredited for it's environmental efforts. There is no on-site dining but there is a large supermarket very close by and some cafes / restaurants within easy walking distance. Breakfast is delivered to your room and is a very generous offering. Buses right at the front door run to the city centre. Taxis are available from the hospital rank across the road. The city centre is approx. 10 mins by car, the airport approx. 15. On site parking is available for a reasonable fee. I've rarely experienced such helpfulness and friendliness from hospitality staff. They went to the trouble of rining before my stay to ask if I wanted to order breakfast. Everything was clearly explained via email, txt message and phone once my booking was confirmed - parking arrangements, breakfast etc.

The check-in process was smooth and easy and the staff was lovely. The room was exceptionally clean and tidy. Everything looked as if they were brand new! We enjoyed the tea & coffee as well as cooking facilities in the room. One thing less ideal is the non-stick pots were pretty scratched up by previous guests, so we did not use them to cook. We ended up using large bowel with our food and cooked it in the microwave oven, which did the job, so happy days. We stayed there for 3 noghts and really enjoyed this hotel.

The towel rack in the bathroom is righ in front of the toilet, which means the towels are super close to the toilet as well...it is understandable there isn't much room elsewhere for the towel rack. I think if we come back next time, we will take the towels out of the bathroom first thing when we get in the room.

It was exceptionally clean and well appointed, the bed was very comfortable, it was very quiet ( our room faced the hills) and all the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I was shown to our room, not just left to find it myself, this was so thoughtful. I got a call in our room, about 10 minutes after I had arrived to ask if everything was ok and if I needed anything. Being greeted by my name by the staff members showed they took time to remember you. The breakfast arrived right on the time we had asked and it was more than enough for each of us. We will book again here

The location of this complex is superb, particularly if you are - as I was - needing access to Wellington's Public Hospital. There are lots of interesting cafes and restaurants just up the road, and an excellent supermarket close by. The complex appears to be near new, its really clean and efficient while there are the nice touches to make you feel at home. The staff were super helpful.

I had a studio room which didn't offer any kind of seat or table. That didn't work well for me in terms of eating meals/working. Will stay again but will check on this next time.

This is a great place to stay , with secure parking. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We have been before so knew our way around. Top marks for cleanliness , has everything you need to self cater, and all was neat and tidy. The bed is very comfortable which is a big plus. Nice bathroom with a roomy shower. A very pleasant stay .

It's on a busy street but getting out is no problem if you plan your route.

The staff were fantastic, so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The location for us was great as we were attending an event at Te Whaea so just a short walk and having Woolworths and great eating options was so handy. The rooms were really tidy and clean.

The only small thing was there was only a very small short wardrobe and one suitcase stand so you basically had to live out our suitcases. A few cupboards or shelves would have been handy.

We booked a superior king room and could not fault the accommodation itself, the room was spacious and clean and comfy, they had complementary pod coffee and chocolates which was a lovely touch and the staff were super friendly and helpful

Not much parking available although we could park at the countdown which was all of a 3min walk but it can get a little hectic dropping bags off when it is busy. We also had a roadside room which was super noisy with sirens and vehicles passing by even my partner who can sleep through most things found it a little noisy, I'm a very light sleeper so heard lots of noise.

The hotel room was quite modern and new. It had all essentials, including a well-equipped kitchenette and bathroom. The beds were quite comfy with nice pillows.The reception staff were very kind and welcoming. The hotel is well-located in close proximity to the city centre. Also, it was lovely to get little sweet treats left for us in the room. It's worth noting that it was one of few places in NZ that did not take the payment in advance (although we stayed there only 1 night).

The room was quite small and the walls were thin. We could hear a very noisy child behind the wall; luckily, it didn't last for too long. Also, the car park was not onsite, and although it wasn't too far, it was slightly inconvenient as we were getting up very early next day for the ferry.

Fantastic location, staff were wonderfully helpful and gave a very warm welcome. Room was well fitted out and comfortable.

Unfortunately I did seem to have an allergic reaction to something in the environment, was unable to figure out if this was a cleaning product or something airborne in the room/air conditioning. Thankfully could air the room with an opening window and pharmacy was only a 5 minute walk away.
