Opposite the hospital was great for visiting a patient. Very comfortable bed. Although near a busy road it did feel peaceful when inside with door closed Helicopters landing on the helipad at the hospital were very loud for a short time - and quite fun to watch. The kitchen was very good with a sink, fridge, stove top etc. we provided most of our own meals. Very helpful staff - friendly and willing to help. I liked the stairs for exercise - initially I puffed but it got easier.

It's my 2nd time staying here while needing to support my partner in hospital and The Ascot is so handy! It's straight across the road from the hospital, free parking, unlimited wifi, comfy beds, just perfect a decent comfortable sleep after an exhausting day/night/week at the hospital. Originally I had booked for 2nights, extended for another 2nights, and then was lucky a cancelation came up and I could extend my stay for an extra 3nights with no hassle. I highly recommend staying here if you are needing to be at the hospital, even just for a nice cheap stay in Wellington I would definitely consider coming back here everytime I visit Wellington

we booked this accommodation last minute after a disaster in a previously booked accommodation. This place was not much more in cost and far exceeded the previous place in all aspects - Ascot was welcoming, clean, tidy, warm and quiet. We were pleasantly surprised for the price.

The only fault was that the hairdryer didn't work but that really wasn't a major issue as it wasn't essential for me and the guy at front desk was really nice ... I am sure would have found me a working hairdryer had i really needed it.

The staff were so accommodating and friendly, nothing was a problem. The beds were comfy, and the place was clean and tidy. I liked the vicinity to the hospital and supermarket as it made life easier in a stressful time not having to worry about parking.

Helicopters landing at the hospital are so loud, but it's necessary, so I just got over it. I was also told not to walk around the streets at night as they are not safe.

Great location, with allocated parking for each room. The room was super clean with all the facilities we required for a great stay. My child and I will definitely look to stay again in the future.

The full price for the room was charged upon booking despite the booking.com page stating no prepayment was required. The staff responded to my query about this in a factual and friendly manner, so it wasn't really a thing to dislike. More to potentially ask a few questions before booking in future. I would stay here again as the pros of the accommodation definitely made up for this.

I had a fantastic stay at Ascot Motor Lodge! The location is super convenient, the rooms are clean and well-equipped, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything was smooth from check-in to check-out. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the quiet, relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area—I'll definitely stay here again!

Free parking close to Wellington is a bonus. Nice unit. Tidy and clean. Late check-in was very easy as was communication with the reception, etc. Sky sports, etc. Very convenient if you are visiting the hospital but close to most things.

Very soft bed. Being next to the hospital, we had several helicopters land during the night. They were so loud that the windows shook!

The location definitely as I was going to the hospital next day. Very comfy bed in a large room.

The cleaner could have done a better job. Having owned motels, myself I have high standards. There was a couple of hairs in the bathroom sink, along with a yoghurt container lid on the kitchen floor. Also, a small bit of rubbish in the kitchen bin.

It's not so much we didn't like it, but it was a massive inconvenience when taking a shower. Having the extractor fan and shower on at the same time sucked the shower curtain against the shower wall....and the human in the shower. The yelps are heartily laughed at by all but very annoying. The notes about use the extractor fan or the alarms might go off, meant turning it off was not an option worth thinking about.

Booked online in a hurry and was able to arrange a late check-in after hours with no hassle. Awesome friendly customer service. Clean, comfortable, not super noisy even though considering it's on a main road, great location for hospital and within walking distance to supermarket and a range of fastfood takeaways, free parking, free unlimited wifi, Great stay, highly recommend
