We were upgraded to a better room but there was a cost. We asked for an extra hour to check out and they didn't charge me.And we only gave them 30 min notice before Checkout. They have jar of sweets to have. We were allowed to leave out bags in their storage for no charge.

Booking .com needs to make sure they get the right room photos to the room they show. So thus is a criticism to booking .com for having the wrong photos to the room advertised as it cost us extra 100 per night upgrade to the rooms we presume we had paid for.. get it right booking. Com!!

an excellent location, the rooms and decor were amazing. The bed it's self in the studio could be better with two people in the bed and no real side support left you feeling like you could roll out. The high tea was excellent too. Bar staff were also very friendly. We didn't have breakfast there as there are lots of other options in Cuba Street that we wanted to try. Overall a very enjoyable stay. Our new favourite hotel in Wellington!

The bed in the studio room needs a more supportive mattress and also the tap check in and check out screens feel a bit like your going to McDonalds. Having person check you in and out is much better than being told to self check-in.

The beds were so comfortable!!! We had a Zest Queen room which came with a coffee machine and pods which was great. The rooms aren't huge but well thought out using mirrors to help them feel bigger and there was a lot of space to store our suitcases under the bed. This hotel is in a great location in the city and the decor is fresh and fun! There was complimentary sweets available, fantastic staff, elevator was handy since we were on the 3rd floor. Enjoyed a swim in the pool after a big day of walking.

We were not aware the spa pool was under maintenance until we got there. Not a big deal but the coffee pod machine does not have a milk warmer or frother with it.

Cute funky room & hotel. Nice to stay somewhere a little different . Location was great. Bed was comfortable with good quality linen. The free lollies at the front desk was a cute idea.

Previous person’s razor was still in the shower.. Like most hotels, a little noisy. We could hear the glass recycling bottles being emptied into bins at all hours of the night on the street. Bathroom was a little small, but does the job. Paid for onsite parking at $35 a night ( had a hire car so wanted it to be secure) , a reduction for the 4 nights would having been amazing..

Funky Hotel in a great location for exploring town. Everything is walkable. Staff were really pleasant and helpful. Parking isn’t as bad as some of the reviews make out. There is limited parking at the hotel but if that’s full then there is loads around. All around $35 for the night and into the morning. We parked at Knigges Ave. There’s a loading bay to get rid of luggage before parking. The street parking is also free between 17:00 and 08:00 and there is some right outside the hotel.

The cleaning wasn’t bad but could have been better. On the second day we found rubbish under the bed from previous guests. This would have been after the room had been cleaned twice.

The location is great, we could walk almost everywhere we needed to go. Huge smart TV which is always a bonus.

We didn’t realise Naumi is actually two quite different properties - Naumi Studio and Naumi Hotel. We originally booked a room in the studio side but upon seeing our room I decided it was too small for us, plus it was extremely hot and didn’t have air conditioning. We decided to pay an extra $80 a night to upgrade to the hotel side. And it was well worth it, we ended up in a huge corner suite (with air conditioning, actually surprisingly necessary at times in Wellington). The bathroom in both rooms were absolutely tiny though.

How staff handled our problematic room when we pointed it out to them.

At check in our room was far too small for our large bags, with a small double bed, western facing and hot with no air-conditioning. We did not know this when booking in, but it should have been pointed out to us by staff at the time. Because we got little sleep, we paid $100 per night for an upgrade in another wing of the hotel. That room was excellent, so exceptional that it was the opposite of our first room. So, our stay covered the two extremes of a hotel experience. The first night's disastrous experience could have been averted with better advice from staff.

Good location, nice staff, comfortable stay.

You need to (temporarily) pay $200 up front which is explained at check in by staff - this can be used as a tab if you want to dine with them or have any drinks etc. at the bar. However, for me, I was a bit shocked to hear this - as that money was important for me to spend on other things to enrich my holiday in Wellington. Therefore, it was a bit disappointing. Just a heads up to budget for this, as I had no clue until checking in! Also the sliding door between the bathroom and bedroom has a big gap and doesn't really give much privacy. The sliding door also doesn't stay in place as there is no lock so you need to really hold it in place until it doesn't move.

We really liked the decor in this hotel and we felt that it is in a great location in central Wellington with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars nearby. We only stayed for one night so weren't able to use all the facilities that the hotel had to offer. We would happily stay there again though.

Our room, which was an upgraded type, was a little small in comparison to some of the other hotel rooms we stayed in during our trip. The building that the hotel occupies is older than the other places we stayed, though, and this probably explains the size of the rooms. The windows in our room were single glazed but this wasn't an issue as the temperature was comfortable and our room was an internal one so it was quiet. If the weather had been warmer the room may have been uncomfortable.

Booked this hotel for my daughter who was travelling solo to NZ and staying in Wellington. She said she was very pleased with all aspects of the hotel ie cleanliness, comfort, facilities particularly the pool. She liked the individuality of her room and the location was perfectly central to explore the city, and was about a 10 min walk from Te Papa but close to bars and restaurants. She found the staff very friendly and helpful and particularly appreciated the free SIM card. She was also able to reserve a parking space for her sisters arrival later in the week ( though its my understanding that this was only possible on the day because she was herself already booked in as a guest) As her mother I chose the hotel based on its location, facilities and location so I am really pleased that she was not disappointed.
