Very spacious, well put together room with modern decor. Bed was large and very comfortable. Staff were very nice and the buffet breakfast we pretty good! We were thankful that we read reviews before staying to ensure we arrived early enough to secure a carpark.

The bathroom was the biggest let down of the room which seems to be common across other reviews. The shower is very poorly designed and very small with lots of moldy grout. There was no soap in the shower (just an empty bottle that housekeeping hadn't refilled) and the spare roll of toilet paper was hidden in a bag in the closest, not very helpful when you need it! Overall for the price we probably wouldn't stay here again but it was a nice experience.

I really liked the decor which gives the reception and bar area a groovy and fun vibe. The King Oasis room is spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is perfectly located for lots of restaurants and cafes.

Although there was very good water pressure, the shower grout and door seals are in need of an overhaul. Our room was extremely hot on arrival and the aircon unit struggled to cool it down. Fortunately we were on a higher floor and were able to open the window instead. Reception staff were varied in their level of professionalism and friendliness, some great, some not so great.

Room comfort/seating areas and bar/location/ sweets in reception for the kids a nice idea.

Coffee in room horrible. Needs a Nespresso at least. Bathroom shower screen too small so bathroom floor got wet every time. Better to have a good shower and no bath than a bath with a poor shower. Pool area could do with a little TLC to make it more inviting. Same with the outside terrace by the pool. Bike in gym had a broken pedal and no water or towels in the gym. Gym also too small for so much equipment and no bench for free weights.

A funky hotel with a great vibe in a fantastic location. Our room was spacious and comfortable with plenty of natural light. The TV was huge and has Netflix and the bed was comfortable. So many great cafes on the doorstep along with a great wee cinema.

We took the upgrade offer to the Blush King room which was a lovely space but not sure what the extra amenities were. We had no tissues, face cloths or robes despite the room photos clearly showing robes and slippers in the wardrobe. First world problems I know. There were however lovely wine glasses and coffee cups but nothing else in the kitchenette. A few plates and a knife would be handy for nibbles. The loo roll holder also needs to be moved to the other wall to stop it getting soaked every time you have a shower.

The decor for this hotel is eclectic and is like living within a work of art. The bed was warm and comfortable. The room was beautiful and colorful. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The breakfast included was tasty and satisfying and had a really wide selection variety. The local restaurants were excellent and one Tuesday a month, Liberty restaurant next door does a taster menu well worth it.

I found the instructions for the elevator a little vague. It was only my second hotel stay. I didn't realize I needed to use the key for the elevator or to activate the power in my room. Would have been handy to have that explained. I was sad to find out their restaurant was closed the days I was staying. I didn't find out till arriving at 8pm at night. In saying that, many options were available for delivery.

Absolutely loved the decor of the hotel and the bedrooms! Beautiful, modern, vintage, funky all wrapped up on one, very cool to stay in. Great location right on Cuba Street which is full of bars, shops and resturants. 15min walk down to harbour and Te Papa museum. Staff very friendly and helpful. Love the extra touches in rooms like slippers, bath salts and shower steamer Toiletries. Would recommend and will return!

Breakfast was limited in hot foods and fresh fruit selection, limited seating in resturant. Few issues with checking in on automated Ipads but staff were apologetic and helpful in rectifying.

Our stay overall was wonderful, love the decor and the option to have a twin bedroom in stead of one large bed. The beds are very comfortable too. We had the convenience of being the heart of the city, many nice cafes and restaurants just around the corner.

The only downside was when we had our drinks at the bar area, it took quite a while to get noticed and have our order taken, and there's another long wait for our sodas to be served during off-peak hours…

Our room was beautiful, light, sunny and large. The bed was very comfortable and the decor was great. We were in the Hotel section

The bathroom was very small and not what we expected however it sufficed. The main issue for us, however, with a 4 night stay, was the kitchen in the room. It would be so much better if cutlery, bowls, plates, t towels, a microwave and washing detergent were supplied so you can be more self sufficient. There were kitchen cupboards and a kitchen sink but nothing in the cupboards which meant bringing food in was not really feasible. This is even more of an issue when the restaurant is only open 4 nights a week. We hope this will be considered by the hotel group as we are likely to be back

The hotel is very well located next to Cuba St and some of the classiest and most interesting vibes in Wellington. It's a short (10 minute) walk to the national museum and theatres and to a shuttle pick up point for Zealandia. The hotel has a funky but tasteful colour scheme and is pretty well laid out. It has a small lap pool and a warm spa pool. Staff were friendly and flexible.

There's a design flaw with only one elevator, which is shared by guests and cleaning staff. This can cause delays and must be frustrating for staff, although they handle it gracefully. Breakfast was good although a porridge option would have really added to it. Lastly, we had a fair bit of corridor noise from rowdy guests, and the soundproofing wasn't good enough to keep it out.

The heated pool was cold for the duration of our stay and the spa was out of order. While these things happen, it would have been helpful to have known this prior to our visit with two young children
