The hotel is situated in a great location, conveniently close to shopping centers and a variety of dining options. The room was quite comfortable, with a great bed and pillows that ensured a good night's sleep. I appreciated the breakfast, which offered a variety of excellent options, as well as the wonderful dinners. The front desk staff, restaurant team, and chef were all incredibly friendly and made the experience even more enjoyable. However, I did notice that there were quite a few hairs on the carpets, indicating that they may not have been cleaned thoroughly. Addressing this issue could greatly enhance the overall experience for future guests.

Here's a rewritten version: Hotel Review: I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and overall, I was impressed with the service and amenities. However, there was one notable inconsistency that left a bit of a sour taste. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast option, which I had prepaid for. On the second day, when I asked the restaurant staff if I could take my breakfast to my room, they kindly obliged. However, on the third day, when I made the same request, a different supervisor informed me that this was not allowed. I was disappointed by this inconsistency, and I couldn't help but feel that the rules should be applied uniformly. It's understandable that policies may change, but it's essential to communicate these changes clearly to both staff and guests. To improve the guest experience, I suggest that the hotel establish clear, consistent policies and communicate them effectively to all staff members. This would help avoid confusion and ensure that guests receive the same level of service throughout their stay. Despite this hiccup, I would still recommend this hotel to others.

Oaks Wellington is located right in the heart of the city, making it incredibly convenient for exploring all that Wellington has to offer. The location couldn’t be better for shopping, dining, or enjoying the vibrant nightlife.
The hotel itself is modern, clean, and generally comfortable. However, I stayed in one of the internal rooms without windows, and I have to say it felt a bit depressing. While the room was well-appointed, the lack of natural light made it feel quite enclosed. If I stay here again, I would definitely choose a room with a window for a more pleasant experience. Overall, it's a good hotel with great service and an unbeatable location, but I’d recommend checking your room type before booking!

A warm and smiley welcome from the receptionist when we arrived at the hotel. The room was clean and tidy. Possibility to ask for two single beds instead of a queen / king size bed.
We weren't shown how to use the magnetic card to operate the lift. Being in our seventies it took us a little while to figure it out! The glass wall of the bathroom with the shower right next to it, even if the middle of the wall was opaque, was a little uncomfortable. I would have loved a bit more privacy. The glass walls also made the bedroom quite bright in the middle of the night when using the bathroom light. It wakened me a few times when my husband had to use the bathroom.

I have stayed many times in internal room as it is great value. I usually only sleep there so don't need views or anything more than good bed and clean room. This time I had a few hrs I planned on working in the room so for little extra I upgraded to a seaward facing room which was awesome
I sat in restaurant and worked for a while after breakfast but the table cleanup service after was terrible. It was just a buffet breakfast but staff were not engaging at all and I didnt have anyone come and clean the table for the hour I sat there even though it was very clear I had finished

Loved the bed, big and comfortable. Lovely bathroom and great shower. Air con was great and able to be regulated in the room. Room was really spacious. Although I didn't use it the Room service apparently was available 24 hours Really nice restaurant and reasonably priced compared to city restaurants I would definitely stay here again. Location handy for walking anywhere.
Nothing significant. The electric jug cord was not long enough to reach the plug in the designated area so had to move the jug and plate elsewhere. The shower body wash ran out and you cannot move the containers to swap from the vanity

I stayed in this hotel after a short stay in Queenstown which was disappointing as the Airbnb I had there was not clean and comparativelyy expensive so the Oaks really shone after that. But overall the room was clean and the location was very good - close to the Te Papa Museum and other attractions. My room was near the elevator but I it was very quiet.
A microwave in the room would have been nice. Also I stayed for 3 nights and I had asked for the garbage to be taken out on the second day and for the bed to be made but that was never done. I guess I could have complained about it but I let it go. They only make up the bed/take out the garbage if you ask, which I understand to save costs/towels etc... but they should do that if you request it.

Such a great location! We were on the 8th floor and although this is on Courtney place you couldn’t hear any street noise at all. The room itself was very clean and neat and was great value for money! Definitely enough space for a couple to stay in comfortably. I think it would also be worth mentioning the bathroom is mostly glass with a frosted glass strip in the middle which means you can see pretty much everything from outside the bathroom while someone is showering. While I was staying with my partner this wasn’t an issue but if you’re staying with a friend this might be a small issue.
The extractor fan in the bathroom did not work very well and so the bathroom mirror stayed quite foggy which made it hard to do my make up in straight after a shower. I think it would also be worth mentioning the bathroom is mostly glass with a frosted glass strip in the middle which means you can see pretty much everything from outside the bathroom while someone is showering. While I was staying with my partner this wasn’t an issue but if you’re staying with a friend this might be a small issue.

Fantastic location, very comfortable and clean. Service was great as well!
Everyone has commented on the tight and difficult parking garage and we can’t agree more. The only other comment is that the access to the bathroom is a sliding door that’s only frosted horizontally across the middle. This lets you see the legs (and quite honestly probably the toilet seat and the sliver of the persons bottom) of the person sitting on the toilet. Also the sliding door isn’t a tight seal so you can also hear everything happening in there. Just a little awkward for non couples sharing the room.

Central and quietly luxurious compared to the surroundings. Helpful staff and they did not change the towels unnecessarily (environmentally friendly). Nice to have an extra door and small entry space between our room door and the corridor as we were right next to the lifts. We never heard them.
It was a little weird to have a sliding glass door between the room and the bathroom even though there were frosted parts. The wind sometimes made the windows emit a whistling sound. We had to park elsewhere as our car was to large for the hotel carpark according to previous reviews.
