Lovely well equipped room, everything you would need, loved the artwork as well. Great appliances and full sized fridge/freezer in our room. Fantastic staff, very helpful and security conscious. Nice sized balcony with table and chairs. Our rooms dining area was great for us to play cards and have a couple of drinks. Comfortable bed and lovely bathroom with a fantastic sized shower, lighted mirror and heated towel rail. Double glazing meant the room was quiet. Complimentary breakfast was a lovely addition, toast, cereal, tea, coffee and juices made our mornings easy, seating is limited but heaps of time to get in and eat. Central city location meant we were close to New World, shopping, restaurants and waterfront walks, a block away from Te Papa Would definitely stay here again.

Very minor (wasn’t an issue for us) but some guests may not like the aroma of food when you open out onto the balcony. You are inner city and next to a lot of restaurants

The bedroom was clean, modern and very comfortable. There was a TV with Netflix. There were bedside tables and charging points by the bed. The en-suite bathroom was clean and modern and equipped with toiletries. Towels were provided and there was daily room cleaning. Overall the bedroom felt very cosy. The hotel is in a good location within walking distance to the shops and restaurants - approx 5-10 mins. It’s also close to the bus stop that takes you to and from the airport.

The breakfast was very poor. There was only toast, a few spreads, and a bit of cereal. No pastries like croissants or pain au chocolat. No other continental offerings. No cooked breakfast.

Location. Lobby area is lovely and all the staff are so friendly. Complimentary breakfast and all day hot drinks were a lovely touch, also the sweet jars. Lighting in the room was good with plenty of options. Loved the electric blinds and the charging station. Waterfall shower and nice body cream. Velvet furniture and spacious wardrobe. I could talk about it for days!

Late night-early morning banging of doors and loud talking in the hallways - it may have been the placement of my room plus inconsiderate guests. I would still come back in a flash.

Comfortable and well-equipped room with above-average space for a studio. Hotel appears to be a recent refurbishment. Everything worked well, bed was comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. Room included microwave, hotplate, basic cooking equipment and clothes washer & dryer. A bonus was the complimentary light breakfast (juice, tea/coffee, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, bread/toast & jams, Gluten Free options) served in the foyer from 7am-11am. Location excellent - close to supermarket, restaurants, Te Papa, Takina Convention centre, and other city sights. Have recommended hotel to friends already.

What I love about staying at TRYP is the instant comfort and warmth. It’s so nice to see familiar faces like Amy, Jennifer and Chris at Reception who are always so welcoming and helpful. Everything has been thought of to make this the perfect home away from home - with little touches like breakfast in the morning and NZ owned products from Ecoya. Aa a single woman, I have to take my personal safety into account and I always feel safe and secure - especially knowing there are two locked doors between myself and the hallway. The location is ideal for all the fun and excitement of Courtenay Place without all the noise! And it’s only a few minutes walk to Te Papa, Tākina Centre, Circa Theatre and all the fun of the waterfront. There is nowhere else I would stay in Wellington!

This is a smaller intimate hotel which was very comfortable. We had the penthouse suite which was absolutely spectacular with so much room for our group of 5 to spread out. The beds were so comfortable and each bedroom had its own bathroom. There is an enormous kitchen stocked with every possible gadget. The unit was so great that someone in our group didn’t even want to go see the sites- she just wanted to back in the luxury. It was also quite affordable since we split the cost among 5 people.

Fabulous access to convention center, waterfront and the museum. Having a very nice washer and dryer in the room made a big difference for a longer stay, as did the kitchen with hotplate and microwave.

The room had no area for the business traveller to use as a desk, and the wifi was dreadful - making the convenience of the Google Chrome redundant since there was rarely a signal to watch any streamed content. The size of the room was tricky but the use of space was good - except for the lack of a desk area. With this one change (and my own portable wifi) it would be my go-to for business trips to Wellington

The room looked nice and was very clean and comfortable. Great location for access to the city.

There were a bunch of small issues that became annoying. The shower drain cover was put in wrong and blocked the drain, almost flooding the bathroom, luckily I noticed and fixed it myself. There were SO many random lights that defaulted to on and it took ages to figure out where all the switches were when I wanted to go to sleep. It's great that there's the ability to cast to the tv but I kept getting notifications to connect to TVs in other rooms or people connecting to my tv by mistake and it was very glitchy and kept freezing.

The decor is beautiful. The details, particularly in the bathroom, are stunning. The bed was soft but firm. Great location for what we needed. The little extras in the room and entrance way, including breakfast, were a nice touch. Pretty basic breakfast but great when it was free.

We ended up with a room with no window - it would be nice to know this when you book. It was fine for a one night stay but would have been unpleasant if you were there longer. It was also really noisy on level 4 on a breezy night, the value on the vent clattered and banged all night long. Closest parking is on the street or in the lot across the way - not overly convenient as you have to move it early to a paid spot or pay again for night or day rates

This is a perfect hotel to stay in, if you are having a night out in Wellington. Its an older building that has been nicely refurbished in an Art Deco style, with a relaxed feel. Right off Courtney Place, so everything is within walking distance. Always good value for money. The best bit is the complimentary breakfast in the hotel lobby. Lovely croissants, jam and good coffee. The hotel attracts people that are used to travelling, so you can strike up a conversation at the high table while recovering from a big night out. :-)
