The hotel is in a perfect location in Wellington. Lots of restaurants and bars in easy walking distance. The cable car is at the end of the street. Easy walking distance through the CBD to The Basin Reserve Cricket Ground. Very comfortable bed with excellent pillows. No bath but a good shower with nice fluffy towels. A good buffet breakfast was included in our rate. The omelettes were excellent. We also ate in the restaurant one evening when the weather was atrocious. The food was nice. The young team on the concierge desk were excellent.
The newly refurbished indoor pool and hot tub are underwhelming. If you have any mobility issues you will struggle to use either facility.

Concierge desk was exceptional and deserves a salute. Their attention to detail and anticipation of what was required was almost extra sensory. I have seen a lot of Concierge desks in this world; to discover this in NZ was a blast and a pleasure. Front of house and room service was also very good.
Management must have been reselecting or training waitstaff. Some were very good and perceptive; others were not on the pace. For example, at breakfast, why would one receive the coffee order 3 minutes after being seated? Some may like it that way; some prefer coffee at the end. The option should be provided. After having refreshments in the lobby lounge, I went to the Bar to check the charges to my room; stood separate from the serving area, but obvious. No staff wished to attend to me; too intent on serving. Departed for my room and accosted, pleasantly, on my way to the lift. All settled, but should not have happened.

The staff went over and beyond to make us feel welcome and help us with logistics in Wellington. The room was delightful. We also got engaged during the stay in the hotel, and complimentary bubbly and macarons were sent up to our room.
It was raining during the stay, and there some water that came through to the window sill, though it didn't impact our experience as it wasn't that much water. We were also across the street from an office building and the workers inside could theoretically see into the room. Both issues were addressed by closing the curtains.

We arrived and were greeted promptly, efficiently and most importantly with a friendly demeanour. It was so reassuring, especially after a 4am start to the day. Everything was explained well and the staff handled our arrival and check in superbly. I am a highly stressed mum with a fast paced job, so having people think for me helps tremendously with my mental load. Also, having people be kind and polite goes a long way in my book. Check in was quick and even though our room was meant to be available at 3pm, they were able to hand us the keys at 10:30am. We were in one of their remodeled suites and the workmanship was excellent. Bathroom fitouts were well thought out and the craftsmanship was spot on - no nasty silicone and stuck shower doors here, the place was spotless. Internet was excellent. Breakfast is always wonderful here and even though our daughter needed a sleep in, my husband and I could have breakfast first and he was able to take her later with no issues. Bags were kept safe when we checked out the next morning and we had meetings in the city. When we came to collect them, two staff brought them out, placed them in the back of the Uber and opened the car doors for us. Perfect treatment for busy parents with a tired child.. The staff really do treat you like family. Thank you so much - definitely my favourite hotel here in NZ and one of the best Internationally as well.
Nothing. Don’t change a thing. This place is perfect.

Fabulous pool/gym area. Bathrobes in the room fantastic to get to the pool area with as changing rooms being refurbished. Decor in restaurant and bar areas welcoming. Compact but functional shower room. Check in and concierge staff amazing. Ted the hotel chauffeur a pleasure to meet. Room service menu great.
Food and beverage seemed understaffed, attention to detail due to this was lacking. Evening meal portions quite small so extra sides necessary. Warm bowls or no bowls out for cereal. Bedroom on the smaller size. For a "luxury" hotel it was a bit average.

The staff were lovely in every encounter. The refurbished pool, spa & sauna area, although not finished completely, is fantastic. The location is amazing & superb if you are attending an event at the TSB arena (e.g., WOW) as it is literally a 2 minute walk away. Also, it has great shopping on your doorstep & many dining options too. Room service was efficient & delicious, as was the buffet breakfast.
The construction noise - although we were warned of this just prior to our booking payment being processed & again at check-in. Cleanliness, although this was good throughout many of the spaces for a five-star hotel, I would expect the spaces out of sight to also be clean (e.g the cupboard floor was extremely dusty as was under the beds in our room).

The room was very comfortable and quiet. It was also warm enough. We liked the bed, because it was very big and comfortable.
We chose this hotel because it has a swimming pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna. We like to get up early and go to the gym and I like to swim. However, on the first day the swimming pool was in darkness and had a sign on the door "out of order". I only realised on the second day that one is supposed to switch on the lights and operate the jacuzzi and sauna themselves.

I have always had great experiences at this hotel from a long time ago in Dallas Texas. The hotel in Wellington NZ was no different. The receptionist, Katelin was awesome to handle our check in and putting us up in a fabulous room with the big Jacuzzi tub. She also enrolled me in IHG membership. Jeromy at the concierge desk was a delightful young man who welcomed us with a cheerful smile. He helped us with our dinner reservation. Everything was great!

Numerous special touches made our stay especially nice, including the bed, pillows, toiletries, and breakfast. We loved the gym, pool, spa, and sauna, which were great. The staff were all friendly and the hotel is very centrally located. Although there are renovations, there was measures were made not to disrupt guests. Looking forward to staying again once they are completed.

Amazing, friendly staff who made everything so easy, from valet to check in, to cleaning. Beds were comfortable beyond measure, rooms are clean with lovely amenities. Breakfast full of fresh and delicious options for all tastes. The prefect location in the city, a stones throw to the best shopping, waterfront walks, restaurants, and attractions. Will definitely be staying again.
