Property was fine. The customer service team were not very friendly. We paid $32 each for buffet breakfast, we arrived at the. Buffet at 8.30am to discover no bacon, no hash browns, no veggies etc. we had to ask when would the items be topped up and had to wait 20 minutes for top up. No mushrooms no tomatoes in the buffet. For $32 I’d expect big breakfast menu items.

Very comfortable hotel located in the very center of Wellington. We did not use the hotel restaurant, I cannot rate the breakfast, because we had to check out early in the morning. There are two restaurants within 50 to 100 meters from the hotel (after exiting to the right). The hotel is located a 5-minute drive from the ferry port. We used the hotel car park for 35 NZD. Although it is the very center, you can conveniently park in front of the entrance for 10 minutes while checking in. Large, well-equipped room. Comfortable bathroom. In the room a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.

Easy to get to in the CBD. and close to shops and places to eat. Very clean room, the bed was very comfortable, the airconditioning was great, and the shower had excellent water pressure and a hand held rose. There was a little fridge in the room, and a jug with tea and coffee provided. The room was very quiet, no street noise or other guest noise.

The parking is very expensive, so we chose to park on the street, and we didn't park in the evening until 7 PM. We only had to pay for 1 hour of parking, as parking is free from 8-8. There is ample street parking after 6 PM. Very close and convienent to the Blue Bridge Ferry.

The room was larger than expected. I was able to check-in early, and the room was clean, the towels in good condition. There was a restaurant on site as well. I would be happy to stay again.

I had called beforehand to find if they had Sky TV for the rugby, they said they didn't, When I arrived I didn't check the TV at all, and went to a local bar to watch the rugby. Later, a guest turned on the TV to find it had the full suite of Sky channels. Not a big problem as I enjoyed seeing the game with others, but this was on own goal for the hotel.

I stayed at the hotel for a work trip. The hotel was very centrally located close to many restaurants bars attractions. The restaurant had a decent menu The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the hot water in the shower needed to be constantly adjusted during shower, so by the time you got to the end of the shower you needed to be in the fully hot position to maintain any temperature and you needed to adjust the hot water about 10 times in a 10 minute shower. though it were room service. I selected the larger room which was huge by hotel standards. The room was well fitted out with a an ironing board as well as a wall mounted TV with HDMI port accessible so I could attach my Google TV and watch programming from home.

The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the hot water in the shower needed to be constantly adjusted during shower, so by the time you got to the end of the shower you needed to be in the fully hot position to maintain any temperature and you needed to adjust the hot water about 10 times in a 10 minute shower. Tho room is also missing safe which would’ve been a good addition and also no microwave oven.

The shower was great and as a mobility impaired person, having handrails etc was so helpful. It was also handy to public transport.

The sloping floor to the bathroom was a little challenging in the middle of the night. Breakfast was a little pricey but a nice treat.

Customer service and the cleaning crew were exceptional. We found all the pamphlets in the lobby really helpful while deciding what to do with our time there too. We also really enjoyed not having to think about breakfast too. We also felt safe because you needed to have a room key to use the elevators.

The dryer on the first floor wasn't that great, it may need a service and if we made it to breakfast a bit late, the pastries were gone or nearly gone and not always restocked. Very minor complaints though, because we really enjoyed our stay.

I had an excellent stay at the Ibis Hotel in Wellington. The hotel’s location was perfect, with easy access to the city center and waterfront. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed, offering everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The highlight, however, was the buffet breakfast we added on. It was absolutely fantastic — a wide variety of fresh, delicious options to suit all tastes, from hot items like scrambled eggs and bacon to a great selection of pastries, fruits, and juices. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend the Ibis Hotel in Wellington, and I’ll definitely be back for both the great accommodations and that amazing breakfast!

I had a wonderful stay! The staff—Brooke, Alan, Gitanjali, and Deborah—were amazing. They were so helpful, welcoming, and went above and beyond to provide truly exceptional care. The location was perfect, very convenient for the event I was attending, and I felt safe and comfortable throughout my stay. Overall, a great experience that I would happily recommend.

The only minor downside was that the heat pump took a while to warm up the room, but it wasn’t a big issue.

Very friendly and helpful helpful staff The hotel has the advantage of a Central locality and being on level ground no hills to climb for us older folk. Also very close to the bus and train terminals.

Tiny cramped bathroom a larger bathroom/shower would have made a huge difference.and scored a perfect ten. the wireless charger was not obvious to start with but we soon figured it out however a double charging point would be good as a wireless charger can only handle one phone at a time.
