Outstanding service. Amazingly comfortable bed. Luxurious amenities. Divine buffet breakfast was absolutely worth paying extra for. Walking distance to everything centrally located. Chocolates every night was a lovely treat.

Felt slightly dated & could've been planned better such as location of plugs & wall mirror in bathroom, but they're just small minor details. Soap bottles fixed into shower were a bit high for me to reach as a 5ft 3 adult so doubt children could reach them without help. Slightly expensive for the size of room & overall experience.

I recently stayed at the Sofitel in Wellington, and it was an exceptional experience. The service has improved significantly, making it a standout choice in the city. The kitchen deserves special mention, the food was fantastic and the Friday night dinner was nothing short of amazing. Room service was exemplary, with everything delivered promptly and to a high standard. Overall, the Sofitel is without a doubt the best place to stay in Wellington, offering top-notch service, great food and a luxurious atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I loved the room as it was a very big room, spacious and the bed was too comfortable but spent less time sleeping as I was there for work. But loved the room as it was my home for the few days I was there

The business centre was different, and I have been using Windows. If only there was another computer that has Windows in it to use. Otherwise, I was able to use my laptop which was helpful

The room was beautiful with a nice view and staff even left a surprise in my room as it was my birthday! Bed was incredibly comfortable and the hotel was really close to the Waterfront Walk, Cuba Street, Te Papa Museum and Cable Cars! Really nice and friendly staff! One in particular but unfortunately I didn’t get her name, she was working on the 19th and 20th October afternoon and evening time until 11pm. She checked me in and was so helpful and gave me good tips about the city! I’ll be back for sure!

Wonderful in almost every aspect.

One staff member was unfriendly often. She was at the front desk. Also, the heating / air on was not up to the standard of a hotel of this quality. I should have deft control of the environment in my room. It bordered on unacceptable. To have a fin oil heater doing the bulk of the work was really not ok. If all other elements of this restaurant hadn’t been on point then the heating would have been a major issue.

Liked the proximity to public transport options. This, plus the really friendly service complimented my stay. Additionally, great AC controls, something uncommon in NZ hotels these days with great cleanliness.

I felt as though the room decor was quite dated and tacky. The lack of freshwater available in the mini fridge was also quite disappointing, considering I had to go down to the lobby to ask one of the kind staff for some bottles of water; though I do understand the potential rationale for not having each room equipped with these (COVID-19 restrictions/Enviornmental restrictions). I Would like to articulate that it may be culturally insensitive to provide drinking glasses in guest rooms but not provide a place for guests to collect drinking water where it can be easily accessible without having to use the bathroom sink.

The property was clean and well appointed. Staff was friendly and helpful with walking directions ordering taxis, offering umbrellas, checking attraction hours and tour availabilty during public holidays ... especially Kushi and Luka!

The location wasnt ideal, several blocks from the wharf and NYE celebration and fireworks.

Exceptionally friendly and professional staff. They were able to check me in quite a bit earlier which was greatly appreciated. Comfortable room and bed. Excellent location. Delicious cocktails made by Ollie at the downstairs bar. Reasonably priced too.

Some minor issues with housekeeping but they were quickly addressed.

Loved everything about it except for having to pay for water to drink at the restaurant, never had to pay for water anywhere else and would have loved a free compliment bottle each in our room. very friendly easy to understand staff, will definately come again.

The staff were exceptional and super helpful and accommodating. The breakfast service was great, chefs were awesome. The wait staff remembered our drinks orders and helped us with requests. They surprised us as we told them we were on our honeymoon. Worth every cent, would 100% recommend and stay again.
