An incredible place – the best accommodation of our nine-day trip around Sicily. From the very beginning, communication with Emmanuele was excellent. He was always helpful and clearly explained how to get there from the airport, which made our arrival so much easier. The place is beautifully decorated, full of charm, and in a perfect location – very central and well connected. They offered free drinks and every comfort you could imagine. The towels were spotless, there were house slippers, the shower worked perfectly, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning was wonderfully cool. We were also able to leave our luggage before departure, which was a big plus. Everything was perfect. Without a doubt, one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. Truly wonderful!

Great location! Short walk from the airport shuttle bus stop. Only had 1 flight of stairs to negotiate. The manager, Guiseppe was charming and helpful. Our room was airy, comfortable, had great A/C and a nice bathroom. We were at the rear of the building so nice and quiet. The B & B is housed in a beautiful old building and the rooms had lovely high ceilings and it was simply but tastefully furnished. Breakfast was typical continental food but tasty and fulfilling! You could eat out on the terrace if you wanted to brave the heat! I loved this property!

We stayed in Scialla 3rd floor Apt for 7nights. It is a real gem, spacious, spotless and the hosts are amazing. The location is a perfect base to explore Catania as it is close to all the main attractions restaurants etc. It was also easy to travel along the east coast on day trips from here - as it is close to two bus stations. The hosts were so welcoming, generous and kind- they even offered us free breakfasts on the days we arrived and departed- for anyone staying b&b the breakfast is great. Well done Giuseppe and Emanuele and your team.

Everything was great!

Good location and the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. My flight arrived late at night so I completed self check-in, which was made very easy by the clear and detailed instructions provided by Emanuele. The facilities were exceptional and every little thing was thought of- my particular favourite was the fact that they provided a hair dryer with a diffuser attachment (which made styling curly hair so much easier) and a straightener. Breakfast was lovely and the owners were very friendly and welcoming.

The hosts were very kind, friendly and helpful! The location is very good, everything is near five minutes walking. The room was very clean and spacious, the bed is comfortable. The mini bar in the room was surprisingly free! The breakfast was very lovely and tasty, not too large options pool to choose from but really good ingredients and options to have a good meal. We arrived there before we could check in, but they were very fast (like 20mins) and they also give us a free breakfast and free cappuccinos as well while we were waiting for our room to be ready. I could easily communicate with the host on WhatsApp and they were responding so fast and filling our needs as soon as possible. They can even provide you a tourist guide if you want to go for a hike to Etna! Lovely place, would easily recommend!

What a great B&B. We've been travelling around Sicily for over 3 weeks and this was our last night - just to be closer to the airport really so we booked a simple, good value double room. We arrived by train and left by airport bus so chose somewhere with easy access to the station and the airport bus. Not only was this the perfect location for both journeys (easy walk from the station and across the road for the airport Alibus stop), it was also a short stroll away from the main Piazza del Duomo. The welcome from Emanuele was perfect. We got a message asking us to confirm our arrival and to see if we needed any directions and we then got a lovely welcome. When I failed to respond (oops!) he called me to check we were OK. Our room (Arci) was really nice - lovely tiled floors, immaculate decor, sound-proofed double doors and blackout shutters leading to a small balcony, perfect furnishings, tea and coffee making, fridge with free soft drinks, lovely bathroom with powerful shower, quality towels, comfy bed with quality linen. Add to this the lovely outdoor terrace available to guests where we enjoyed our breakfast. What a great spot to relax and get some sunshine if you stay for longer than we did. We stayed in a variety of accommodation types during our travels around Sicily - this one absolutely deserves our top score for quality and for value for money. I would return without hesitation.

We travelled throughout Italy. From Milan to Tuscany to Amalfi to Palermo. But this was the best B&B experience of all. The location is superb. Very close from the main train station, very close to the city center and the historical landmarks. The rooms are tastefully done and the breakfast is great. The best breakfast spread of any hotel/B&B we stayed in Italy. And last but not the least, the owners are the best. Very helpful and welcoming. They feel glad to have you which is always a great feeling! The check in process is very smooth and Giuseppe helped us a lot at the time of check out and helped us in booking a cab to the station since we had a lot of luggage. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

Giuseppe was very welcoming and helpful. The room was adequate, clean, came with tea/coffee making facilities and bottled water. An adequate breakfast was served on the roof terrace with a lovely view. Location was not right in the centre but it was a short walk away (10 mins).

Nothing really given the price. NOTE: Nothing to do with the accommodation but we tried the well-rated Paranza restaurant just across the square which was a major disappointment, largely because the owner was smoking just outside the restaurant area (smoke blowing in) and the level of service.

A really great place for two or a small family like ours. Great location - close to the airport bus stops (and the airport), the bus stations to Siracusa and Taormina, and at a convenient walking distance from the city centre. The street is busy during the day, but the soundproof windows close out the noise. The rooms have air conditioning, but we didn't use that in February... The building is pretty secure, with two heavy security doors for the entrance and the flat (plus the apartments). The apartments are lovely and spacious, with a cool design, comfy beds, and a lovely and clean bathroom. You even get your own brand-new slippers, so don't bother packing one. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and treat you very well (and they're fluent in English). The buffet breakfast is a wide selection of local delicacies - salamis, cheeses, pastry, jam, eggs, pickled olives and other vegs, buns, but there's also yoghurt, nutella and corn flakes. And fresh fruit, obviously, but no fresh vegs - these simply do not seem to be part of the local cuisine. You can leave your bags for free before and after your stay in a secure place, to which you got your own key - this was a big help for us. Thoroughly recommended.

Please note that water is heated locally, as probably everywhere in the town, so it may run out if many people take long showers right after one another.

Located near restaurants and near all major attractions. Great little restaurants, pizzerias and sandwich shops nearby to eat on the cheap. Catania Airport Alibus stop direct to the airport is just across street, and intercity bus from Palermo or other cities drops you only a few blocks away from this property. Very convenient. Very good breakfast with very attentive and helpful breakfast staff who will make you any egg order you wish and great Cappuccino. Highly recommend this property if staying in Catania. Great host and great stay! Would definitely stay here again.
