We didn’t have breakfast however you are very nearby places to eat.The location of the property is great,a 15minute bus journey on Alibus from airport(4Euros)then a short walk to the property from Porto ARCHI stop.Very handy for historic centre and various sights.Sergio the host is extremely helpful with information and gave us easy instructions before our trip.Room was quiet and beds comfortable,room very clean.Catania is an excellent base for visiting other places in the east of Sicily such as Syracuse/Ortigia,Taormina,Mt.Etna.We used the bus which was excellent ,you are a 10-15 minute walk to bus station the Interbus ticket office is around the corner from the bus station not in it and good idea to book in advance.The main train station is a 5-7 minute walk from bus station,be warned there are no lifts in station so not easy with cases although think you might be able to arrange help in advance(according to a station staff member),

The host was very friendly and helpful. The room and bed were a very nice size. Air conditioning and black out blinds were installed and the room also had a mini fridge. Overall pretty good for a one night stay.

Although the bathroom was clean, it had a bit of a damp smell. Photos of the rooms were not really that accurate. In the photos, the rooms appear to be decorated in a traditional Italian style, but in reality, the decor was a bit more generic.

Sergio was so helpful. It was raining the day I arrived and Sergio arranged a driver to pick me up at the bus station and take me directly to the front door. Worth the 10 euros! The room was clean and spacious. Sergio offered great suggestions for day trips!

Tea kettle but no cup/spoon in the room.

We stayed here twice before pre-covid and finally made it back! Sergio is a wonderful kind host. We will stay again in the future if we return to Catania. Property is within walking distance of the bus/train station and Piazza Duomo. Since our last stay Sergio has got a lift installed 😊. It was wonderful to be back in Catania and to book accommodation without worrying about what it will be like!

Great location, fantastic Sergio :) who was looking after everything all the time. Accommodation was comfortable and quiet except some small noise from the room next door while using toilet but not big problem at all considering everything else that was absolutely lovely!

It’s in such a perfect location! Right next to everything we needed!! And the bed is comfortable with great aircon and space.

The sound insulation was poor and we could hear people in the building/next door to us, it was so loud I awoke multiple times thinking people were inside the apartment.

This is a historic gem of a flat in the centre of Catania with most sights within walking distance. it has been lovingly preserved and you really feel you are in a family home, with memorabilia on the walls. The rooms are spacious and have everything you would need. Sergio is a kind and attentive host.

Nothing negative to report.

It’s a very well preserved family home in a wonderful building. The apartment constituted a large bedroom, a living room and a bathroom. The former two rooms retained many original features with a high standard of decoration of the era. The living room also had many interesting items of furniture from that era plus a portrait and diplomas etc relating the family history. The bathroom was very modern and well equipped. The outer communal area, also used as an office, had more interesting furniture and the ceiling in particular has been renovated to a high standard. A fascinating environment in which to spend a few days.

We would have liked to make a cup of tea and possibly have a glass of wine. We understood and accepted the no food policy and we took care to keep the fine furniture clean and dry but while there was a kettle there were no cups and no suitable glasses for wine? These would be a minor addition that would make the apartment even more welcoming.

Liked a lot the location and the sympathy of the manager Sergio. It was very uncomplicated to solve all issues and questions. Arriving next to the building was easy by taxi.

Sound insulation to the next apartment could be better. Some work to be done in the shower box.

We have stayed here on a number of occasions and hopefully we will back. The location is perfect and Sergio is an absolute gentleman.
