We loved the rooms and beds were extremely comfortable.

It would have been better if we were informed that the only way you get your room cleaned is if you tell the front desk in advance. I was not made aware of that when we were just told to sign for the room. I was not told to read anything.

I have stayed at this property before and always had a good experience. The staff is wonderful- very friendly and accommodating. Being connected to a diner is very convenient, and enjoyable. It’s a moderate walk to downtown, and if you like walking - it’s just right.

Some rooms are more recently updated. The one we stayed in was very ready for updating. The clock/radio was aged, and visibly dirty, as was the bedside lamp. But everything else was clean.

The hotel is in the perfect location for tourists! It's only a few minutes away from the Kittery Outlets as well as other shopping centers. The restaurant (The Roundabout Diner) was awesome, and a pleasant surprise since we didn't know there would be a restaurant attached to the hotel. My friends and I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Even though we stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, we didn't receive room service. We had asked them to come by our room to bring extra towels, but they didn't come while we were away. Other than that, our stay was great!

The shower did not have running hot water it was barely lukewarm. I think the valve in the wall might be defective because it wouldn't get past lukewarm and I had the water running for a good 10 minutes and it took forever for it to get to be somewhat comfortable temperature to be able to take a shower. That room number was 301 that has the problem I did report it to the front desk once I checked out

The location is great and convenient for our needs. The staff is great.

I didn’t like that the rooms are cleaned daily but understand. However, I feel that we should have been advised when we checked in so we would know what not to expect. This is my only complaint as I love the location, staff, and facility.

Free parking, very handy to the highway. Central location to downtown and the malls, strip malls, restaurants. Always clean and comfortable

Tub area had a bit of damaged ceiling from water leakage from second floor bathroom

The Best Western Manager provided us with good travel tips. You could tell he was proud of his facility and the City of Portsmouth. Really appreciated the free parking -- a pretty rare thing for New England hotels/motels.

The facility could use some updating/improvements. The wallpaper in our bathroom was peeling and the sink drain was a bit clogged.

We stay here every time we go to Portsmouth (often). It’s super clean, comfortable and conveniently located. While not right downtown, it is easily walkable. Great diner and bar attached.

The food at the restaurant next door was excellent, but I was thinking that there was a continental breakfast included.

The roundabout leading to the entrance to the parking lot was a little difficult to navigate.

We needed lodging due to a blizzard and loss of heat and power at home. The line for check in was incredibly long but the lone clerk stayed calm, friendly and helpful. Room was beautiful, food was yummy.

Unpleasant odor in elevator.
