The room is spacious, the bed is comfortable, the space is clean but slightly outdated. The breakfast was good with a wide choice of fruits, pastries, and meats. There is a rather small indoor swimming pool on site and a fitness room with a few machines is available. The spa section was not in use at the time of my stay. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from a beautiful beach. Excellent location.

I would have liked to have a water kettle in the room.

The room was spacious. Everything worked. The AC unit worked extremely well. I requested extra pillows before my arrival and they were waiting for me in the room. I also made use of the small under-table refrigerator. I would have preferred more warm breakfast options as the selection was limited. However the continental breakfast, e.g., meats, pastries, breads, cereals, was very good. The coffee options were particularly good. The staff cleared tables quietly and efficiently during what was a very busy time. The Hotel Alba is a central hotel not too far from the beach

As the Hotel Alba is a 4-star hotel, it would have been nice to have tissues, cotton wool and a basic body lotion in the bathroom. And a complimentary bottle of water every day with coffee sachets as well as tea sachets.

This was not the first time we stayed at the ALBA and it is always very nice. This time, we had a room looking out at the street, not the pool which was good, too. The room has a good size and is comfortable, the bathroom excellent. Breakfast has a lot of variety in bread, cakes, fruit, juices and coffee. There is an indoor pool, which we did not use this time. The outdoor pool is a very good option when you don't want to go to the beach, which is about a ten minute walk from the hotel.

I would have liked some cut fruit to put into my yogurt. The entrance to the pool is either via the habitual metal ladder or via some (beautiful) stone steps. However, these should have some kind of handrail, since they can be slippery.

The twin room was nice and clean an so was the en-suite bathroom. We found both beds very comfortable. There was an electronic safe in the wardrobe, also a small fridge incorporated into the desk area. The airconditioning unit in the room was well placed above the beds and the the compressor was outside on the balcony wall. On returning to the room just before Midnight, we only switched the unit on for an hour and it performed very well. The private balcony had a table and two chairs, also a decent sized drying rack. Breakfast was a very good continental self service style available between 08.00 and 10:00 AM. Coffee and soft drinks came via different dispensers plus there were a couple of toast machines. You had a good choice of cold meats and cheese plus various cereals that were always being replenished. Breadrolls, bread for toast, croissants and a selection of cake. You also had fried and boiled eggs. The whole breakfast area was kept clean and tidy by the attentive staff. The Pool is quite large but not heated. The surrounding area was well laid out and acted as a good suntrap with pleny of space for all the sunbeds. This was all free of charge. There was also an indoor wellness area which you paid extra for. Finally, we checked in at 15:00 and our room we asked for was ready ahead of schedule. Senhor Miguel was very helpful and made the booking-in process extremely smooth. When we left, around 11:00 in the morning it was Christina who dealt with us in a very friendly and proficient manner.

Depending on where your room was situated, you could hear the traffic noise at night. Also the noise of the airconditioning compressor from the room next door was quite loud but only if you kept your balcony sliding door open. Be advised: The local council charges for parking outside the hotel between June and September. Officially you can only park for a maximum of 4 hours at 85 cents an hour between the hours of 09:00 (9 in the morning) and 22:00 (10 O´clock during the evening) The hotel will charge you 12:50 € a day and they have 39 parking spaces in their underground car park. You can find free parking areas further down the main road past the hotel in the residential areas.

The hotel is in a great location. Plenty of sunbeds and a good size swimming pool. Room very clean and bed was comfortable. Nice shower and bathroom. Lovely sized balcony.

No pool towels provided, told by staff they were only for the footballers!! Breakfast OK but not the best we have had. Some of the sunbeds need changing as the backs were broken making them uncomfortable. Some of the parasols were difficult to rise. We needed to wait til after 4 oclock for our room to be ready, but we were able to leave our cases to explore the area whilst waiting.

Only one extra plug to charge phone, I had to unplug lamp to charge my phone my husband used the other. Bathtub too tall, I found it a little dangerous for someone who’s short. Supplied bath gel is watered down…. I know because I work next door to the actual supplier and on occasion I have been gifted the bath gel/shampoos and soaps, they are top quality products. I saw the owner berating a young staff member…. Not professional, poor kid

The breakfast was very acceptable. The staff particularly Fatama were extremely helpful and professional.

It was a pity that tea/coffee facilities weren't available in the bedroom or indeed in the communal area. For a 4 star hotel I would have assumed this would have been included. Wifi connection was poor.

Excellent breakfast. Outdoor pool area that gets plenty of sun. Small indoor pool if its raining (out of season). Close to the sea front and restaurants where you can sample the local fish and iberian black pork.

Although this was out of control of the hotel its not their fault but their was pool maintenance taking place at the apartments nextdoor which used heavy machinary and was quite noisy. Again this is probably because we visited in the low season.
