The hotel was clean and in a very culturally diverse neighborhood. There are tons of middle-eastern restaurants and stores right outside the doors of the hotel. My wife and lived in Korea for a time and felt really at home and safe walking on these streets. This was also one of the few hotels that had on-site parking available; it’s a small lot, but very convenient if you call ahead to reserve a spot. We were able to park our car upon arrival and not move again unless we left NYC. We used public transportation the entire time we visited because it was only a short, 7-minute walk to a subway station.

The only thing worth mentioning was that the AC went out for a short while, but the staff notified us and it was fixed later that day. Nothing else was wrong.

Property is well maintained and clean. The bed was comfortable, and, from my room, I had a partial view of the city. Bathroom was clean and well-stocked with amenities. The public area are also well maintained.

It is in a pretty rough neighborhood. On the morning I left, at around 4:00 am, there were a lot of unsavory-looking characters hanging about. Maybe some illegal activities going on. That was my impression, anyway. During the daytime hours, the neighborhood seemed safe

I have stayed in this hotel before and was very pleasantly surprised with the changes the new management has implemented. The place has a fresh look, feels and smells pristinely clean, the staff is very polite and welcoming, and the views of Manhattan in the back rooms on the high floors are beautiful. Additionally, Astoria and Steinway Avenue have everything you need. I will continue staying here, especially with the new management.

There are grocery stores to some blocks walking Metro station is 9-10 minutes walking and bus stop 1 - 3 minutes walking TV has netflix and a lot of channels Option from La Guardia airport to go to metro station with free bus, and then arrive to boulevard station + walking to hotel. Curtains block the light from windows Guest service in the morning quick and kind majority of the days

Guest service in some night shift was not so good and call me at 10:30pm with my child sleep asking for my name. We find a little bug in room 508 The sensor in 5th floor near to our room turn on and off in the night,distracting at sleep

The location was great; very close to the airport ($11 cab ride to hotel). It is also a 9 min walk to the subway, right around the corner. There are many food and shopping options nearby, the street is lively and diverse. I felt safe as a solo traveler. The room was small but perfect for me and enough room for a place to sleep, was clean and nice. The bed/pillows were comfortable. Traffic noise from my street facing room did not bother me as it added to the ambience of being in NY. Neighborhood locals were friendly. The price was affordable and reflected in the basics of the hotel/room (nothing fancy, but perfect for a place to stay after exploring Manhattan). I had an early check in and when I arrived, my room had not been cleaned but they switched me to a new room right away. I would recommend trying to get a room facing Steinway street if possible, as the view from that original room (on the 4th floor) was the backs of other buildings. I really enjoyed being able to see all the activity from my second room out of the window.

The room was really hot, the temp was 40s and 50s while I was there, but the thermostat was locked at 74 degrees and really uncomfortable at that temp. However, I was able to turn it off completely and it was fine. If it was colder outside that may not have been a good option. The only other issue I had was that the water in the shower did not get hot at all, at best it was slightly room temperature and not warm at all.

Located in Queens, only 10-15min walk to metro stations, it has a good enough location to reach Manhattan or LaGuardia airport with public transportation. The neighborhood is not the most clean, but had no big issues. The Mosque next door was not heard at all, even when they sang at night. There are good authentic little restaurants nearby. The room was a bit small, but acceptable sized with heating/AC, bathroom with tub and toiletries. The staff was efficient and quick.

Only problem was a food cart located in front of the next building, and the smoke and smell got through even closed windows.

the room was clean, comfortable and good temperature regulation. when I checked in the man at reception was extremely nice, happy, friendly and helpful. I was let down by another hotel the week before my stay in the Steinway hotel and so glad I stayed here. 10 mins walk to the N train to bring you straight into Manhattan.

everything was perfect for the duration of my stay. room was cleaned regularly, hallways and elevators were clean and tidy. reception was fully available at all times.

Super clean, great value for that price, Astoria is an amazing location itself, the neighborhood itself is a place worth exploring with great delis, restaurants and an amazing park (for those who enjoy working-out). Definitely the best accommodation especially if you are traveling on a budget. 20-30min Walking + subway and we were in Central Park :)

We couldn't turn the AC to a warmer temperature, so it was constantly around 70-71 which felt v cold to me.

The staff is very helpful and nice ! The chekcin process is quick and unproblematic. The rooms are clean, towels were changed regularly. The place is safe, there's always someone at the reception. The hotel is very well located, not far from the Subway. Shops and restaurants everywhere around !

There wasn't any safety box, and there wasn't any closet to hang your clothes in. The hotel could have a breakfast option, but it was a non-priority detail for me.

The location is good, not far from metro station, peacefull area.

Simple room, with all you need, cleaning every day, a bit noisy in the evening from the street, better to keep the windows closed. In general good solution for the several days. Staff was extremely helpfull. Thanks!
