Shower curtain was too short, meaning water all over the floor, no matter how hard you try not to splash. There are apparently multiple rooms in one category, with different looks, meaning we didn’t get the one we saw on Booking (however we did not handle this with the staff, requesting a change).

Friendly staff and lovely room

The price and payment method on bookings. com did not match the price we had to pay. I choose the pay at property option on bookings.com and that was not an option for the hotel. So the hotel tried to take the payment off my card when I hadn’t arrived yet. Then booking.com never showed that their was $150 deposit on top of the total price. The staff were very friendly and tried to accommodate the best they could and I appreciate that but Sonder and Bookings.com need to have a conversation about false advertising. As what booking.com showed $320 would have been 470 if we didn’t get accommodated.

The property was exactly as advertised. The room was clean, quiet, spacious, comfortable. While I didn’t get a private balcony, it was fine as I think the room was quieter. The amenities were great including coffee and filtered water. Check in/out via the app made everything very easy. The location is an easy walking distance to 3 subway lines into Manhattan. The location suits a traveller who doesn’t mind being out for the whole day and coming back at the end of the day. If you like coming back several times during the day, the location is a little removed from major tourist areas. There is a great local deli close by and great food in Long Island City.

very very happy with our stay in this hotel, very clean hotel where everything is self-service, with beautiful kitchen and 3 magnificent terraces. the staff is very nice, a special mention for Travis, a very friendly, extraordinary person, who helped us find a wheelchair following an injury to my wife's ankle. Travis is an exceptional hotel employee, with great value, thanks to him, our trip was successful. thank you, thank you, thank you

Nothing , everything was perfect

We had an unforgettable experience at Sonder The Dutch. We got a queen room with a HUGE terrace, with an amazing view of Manhattan. I highly recommend the Sonder The Dutch! The room was spacy and clean, and receptionists were always friendly and smiled. Three subway stations near the hotel are easily accessible to any part of NYC. The hotel is new, modern, and has great value for money. It is 10 minutes subway ride to Manhattan. The neighborhood is safe. We will get back for sure!

It takes forever for the elevator. It is sooooo slow.

Location. Very near to Queensboro Plaza Station (7,N,R,Q,W lines) and Queensbridge (F line). Near supermarket, cafes, laundromat. Not too far from Astoria by train or walking. Easy access to La Guadia Airport.

Nothing really. It's not a resort, more convenient for sleeping. It's clean and well secured. Cleaning services require extra payment.

Great location 15-20 mins from times square by subway and away from the chaos. Shops in area and a decent pizza spot right on the corner opposite the hotel. Staff were pleasant although all of check in and out can be done in the app so not much need to use the front desk. Downstairs has extra toiletries etc which you are free to take as you wish and a space to eat/read/watch TV. Room was great good shower and bathroom and a great view from the private balcony. Room cleaning/housekeeping comes at an extra cost of $40 I believe so best to keep it tidy yourself if on a budget. Area around hotel never felt dangerous or unsafe no matter the time of night. Would definitely stay again

The rooms are really nicely designed and the view is amazing. Very large rooms for new york. Close to a number of stations.

I don't see the benefit of sonders 'different way to stay'. Unlike a normal hotel, where check in is never difficult and you can generally check in early for free, at sonder you're hounded with emails prior and during your stay, there's no left luggage and early check in is $25. The hotel itself is really nice (although our room was quite dusty and we were missing some towels and pillowcases) but the amount of email communication needed to replace a front desk was annoying.

Lovely location away from all the traffic but not too far from Manhattan. Subway is 5 minutes away really easy to use. A lot of people have said it’s noisy but I never heard any construction noise! I would really recommend this hotel! There is also luggage storage if your flight is later in the evening and lots of good film choices on tv.
