The breakfasts were very, very substantial, lots of variety, freshly baked muffins and Karyn was the perfect host, warm, friendly helpful, going the extra mile, even packing a breakfast/lunch bag, when I had to leave quite early.Location could not be beaten, within walking distance of the transit hubs facilitating easy public transport. The room was more than adequate, complete with a fridge, comfy bed, pillows, very little noise from road traffic.I had my own private bathroom. But the absolute star of this accommodation was Karyn who offered superb hospitality. If ever I go back to Banff ,I will stay at Holiday Lodge Bed and Breakfast and encourage my friends to do so.
Hmmmm......not much really. The walls are thin so you can easily hear sounds, but quiet and considerate 'neighbours' make for comfort. And after all the house is old and beautifully rustic.

The house is situated in a great location. Just 3-4 minutes walk from Banff downtown with a great choice of restaurants in the neighbourhood. It is an old house with rich history of the west side. We truly loved the vibe of the house. But the infrastructure and amenities in the house are old. That was not a problem for us however. Our Host, Karen was outstanding. She helped us plan our outings and had great restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. The breakfast she arranged for us was truly impressive. The warm blueberry muffins she served us in the breakfast were the best muffins I had in my life! Our entire stay was comfortable and memorable.

Can’t say enough about this place. The best bed&breakfast there is. Karin and her staff are the absolute best and it was so much fun getting to know them all. They even take time to be your travel guides and help tailor your day from Kananaskis Country to Jasper. The b&b is in downtown banff, has free parking and breakfast had so many options - we really appreciated the farm fresh eggs and the home made muffins! Thank you, Karin and everyone we met here!

We had such an amazing experience, it was our honeymoon trip and we enjoyed every moment of our stay at Banff. The location is great, in the city center, the room had everything we needed and the bathroom was next to the room, very private and big. There are only two rooms, so it's very quiet and peaceful. Karen took care of us and give us lots of recommendations to visit the area, prepared the best breakfast we've had during our trip, all homemade and gave us zip bags so we could also prepare sandwiches for lunch throughout the day. It also offers free parking which is a plus. If you see availability, book, don't doubt it!

We arrived before check in time but were able to leave our bags and go explore the town. When we stepped into our room we thought it was a bit small, but it turned out to be very comfortable, we were even able to open the window and have some fresh air :-). The sole use bathroom is off the landing, right next to the bedroom door and has original fittings including a claw foot bath, very much in character with the house. The location is fantastic, in a quiet street and in the centre of town, an easy walk to everything. Our delightful hostess provided a generous breakfast and even accommodated our early departure time, insisting we take her fresh home made muffins with us.
All good.

Loved the location and coziness of the B&B. Breakfast was so yummy and the host(ess) was friendly. Unfortunately, I was sick while there, but it was a great place to heal. Very comfortable and you could really sink into the place. Very calming meditative music is played in the living room at all times.
It seems the B&B is coming to the end of its years and is a bit worn for wear. I loved the retro elements, but it's clear that some improvements would need to be made to maintain it. Also, be careful with talking about politics of any kind. It's Alberta, after all, and some are prone to believing in conspiracies and adopting extreme views it seems. Also be aware when booking that while you may get a private bathroom, it may not be ensuite.

Karin is instantly welcoming and her exceptionally clean and cosy b&b is authentically Canadian. Breakfast is plentiful (the muffins deserve a separate review - you won't taste better ones anywhere) and the rooms have lots of thoughtful touches including the best smelling moisturiser ever and the comfiest bathrobe. While other accommodations in Banff clearly take advantage of tourist popularity to charge extortionate prices, Karin keeps hers low and fair. A fantastic place to stay.

Everything, Karen our hostess was just amazing, helpful with suggestions of where to go, the most amazing breakfast and suggested we take leftovers for lunch and invited out daughter who was living in Banff over to have breakfast with us every day. Just an amazing stay. Couldn't speak highly enough of this stay. Location was just off the main street. Exceptional value for money

My husband and I stayed here on the first part of our holiday. Karen was an amazing host, super friendly and helpful. The traditional Banff house was lovely with lots of character. Our room was comfy, and we instantly felt like we were at home. The breakfast was a great addition to our stay. Karen makes homemade muffins every morning and was kind enough to allow us to take some breakfast items for lunch also. We would highly recommend this accommodation. My husband and I will definitely be back.
There was nothing we didn't like about this place.

Best place to stay in Banff! Super comfortable room, everything provided including a full breakfast and extra to make trail lunches with. House was very charming with lots of character and suited all of our needs. Felt like a home away from home. Karin went above and beyond and we throughly enjoyed chatting to her and getting her advice on where to go and what hikes to do. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.
Absolutely nothing. It was perfect.
