The one bedroom we stayed in was clean, modern and a fantastic location in the village of Lake Placid (across the street from the Olympic Center and museum). So much to do in walking distance, including dining and shops.

The downfall of this facility is that it is not a traditional hotel with guest services, a lobby with restrooms, an ice machine, etc. It is a building with two levels of apartments. You have to check-in at a different hotel which is about 2-3 blocks away. We were not aware of this when making the reservation. After a long day of travel to reach the hotel, I was somewhat irritated to find this out and need to navigate to another location just to check in.

Great location across from the Olympic rinks and a short walk to the many restaurants and shops in Lake Placid. The parking was free and the 2 bedroom suite was exceptionally clean and spacious.

Of their three types of lodgings available in Lake Placid, breakfast is served only at the main hotel location for residents there. Given there are many good options available in town, offering a free breakfast to lodgers from all three locations is less an issue and more a hospitality suggestion for the owners.

It’s exactly as advertised. Very spacious and clean. Two minutes walk to the lake where we could go for drinks, food, shopping and water activities.

The bathroom in the large bedroom has no door for the standing shower. The curtain didn’t work well for splashing water under it since it is like 10 inches above the floor. We had to use many towels to keep the floor dry, and we never wanted to use towels that way. I wished it had doors just like the other bathroom.

The location is amazing. Large windows with beautiful view. Clean and nice storage. Well equipped kitchen. Walking distance to main amenities in the town. Easy check-in and check-out. Plenty of towels, clean bed linens. Mattresses and pillows are too soft for my opinion but it's a personal preference. Liked the idea that every room has it's own AC, so the temperature could be different if you prefer warmer or colder than other people in your group. Plenty of parking spots. So place is very good.

There are couple things that didn't ruined the stay but were noticed. The blinds were too thin and didn't block the daylight. So you couldn't keep bedrooms in a dark in the morning. We're morning persons so it wasn't a big deal but the light woke us up around 7am. Also several blinds' mechanisms were broken so we couldn't even open it. Doors to bedroom and bathroom didn't close properly. We're family so it wasn't big deal for us. Also, the water pressure in a shower was extremely weak. There is a nice shower head but it's useless without a proper water pressure. It could be nice to have simple salt/pepper on a kitchen.

Nicely updated & spacious suite/ great location with fun side window views of Olympic oval & all the skaters. Quiet property. Loved our "Street View" room, near the elevator.

1. No lock on downstairs entrance door - security issue with no staff on site. 2. Too few parking spaces for guests on Saturday. We had to park behind on the side street until 9pm Saturday - no one monitoring non-hotel parkers. 3. Outside could use full paint job - peeling green paint on parking lot side & back was off-putting. Street-facing is a tasteful dark gray.

Not so much didn’t like but be aware that the public corridors and entrance (unmanned) are pretty dingy, unwelcoming and not secure. We had no issue at all but the first impression before we saw our room was OMG what have booked. Advanced instructions for check in and location could be improved it was by pure chance we went to the hotel of the same name and that was the correct place to check in.

This was my second time staying at the LP Inn - Main Street. The location is very convenient right in town across from the Olympic Museum. There is ample parking available. The room and bedrooms are quite spacious and vey comfortable. The room is well equipped but the decor is pretty sparse and cold. We found the beds to be very comfortable and the place was very clean.

There are absolutely no services at the Inn but the hotel where you check in is only around the corner where you can get breakfast if you wish.

The room was amazing and within walking distance of everything on Main St in Lake Placid. The rooms were big and we appreciated the nice dining room table. The bathroom was large and the shower was amazing. Seemed pretty quiet, we could occasionally hear a family next to us who had a kid but not too distracting. Check in is at their sister hotel where they give you a key to your room at the Main St location. You have to lock your door as you come and go but we didn't mind that. Everyone we dealt with was nice and helpful, even when we had a clogged toilet issue they sent someone within a half hour and it got resolved. Definitely would stay here again!

The location was great in the centre of the town, I was travelling for work and needed to be close to the Olympic museum and the ice rinks, it was perfect, with a lot of restaurants close by and a Stewarts shop close by which was perfect for picking up some groceries/snacks. Housekeeping was daily and it was well kept. The rooms were quite spacious, well furnished and comfortable.

You need to get your keys from the other Lake Placid Inn: Boutique hotel which is like a 6 min walk, not bad but there is no reception in this hotel.

It was well equipped with everything you would need. Very clean. Near lovely stores, restaurants, and a beautiful park across the street in the back. The visitor center is right across the street.

We did not know how to check in because Booking.com did not send us any information after the initial reservation. Finally, we ran into some people staying there, and they told us what to do. They had had the same experience.
