Overall excellent value for money nowadays. The staff were always helpful. Check in was a couple of minutes. Room facilities were good. Comfortable room, like a small apartment. Beds on the hard side, no big deal. Location is about 75/80 minute walk to marina. But it's an easy scenic walk. If you know the area, you would probably cover that distance normally anyway. Train is right outside the hotel but the trains are electric/hybrid, so you don't really hear them. Wifi was solid. There's space by the pool to enjoy the sun. Around €10 in an uber/taxi to Marina. I'm using Marina as a reference point. Torremolinos about €12-13, Fuengirola centre about €10. So if all you want to do is walk around town and the beach, there's no need to hire a car. Even though the hotel is well out of the town centre, it's cheaper to take the train (door to door, from airport to hotel) and depend on taxis to get around. Or the bus at the bottom of the hill (6-7 min walk).

There wasn't much cutlery but if you clean as you go its never an issue. Longish walk into town, not necessarily a bad thing. Some balconies are shaded for much of the day. Some people like that, some don't. We spent most of our time out and about.

Good breakfast, although not a lot of options. Friendly staff. Next to train station, easy to reach Malaga and other coastal towns.

Bathrooms could be nicer. There is a parking just in front of the hotel, but it is supposed to be for the train station. I am not sure how easy it is to park in the high season.

A lovely place to return to every time. Joyful crew of staff; pleasant and peaceful area; accessible with public transport (train Fuengirola-Málaga stops in front) and spacious studios with all amenities for a perfect stay.

A little surprised every time to see a new team of hotel staff again and again; the small details of checking if the soap dispenser works and is filled are precious details that residents appreciate; and for future reference when there is choice of room it might be pleasurable if recurring residents get to state their preferred side and/or floor.

I like where the hotel is situated, it is great having the train station on the doorstep to visit different places. Staff were friendly and the hotel was very clean, breakfast was basic but nice. Have been to this hotel 8 times and will definitely be back for a 9th 😃

Breakfast was fine, plenty of choice although main room was chilly due to draughts. Room was great, with balcony. Could park for free nearby.

Charged more than I had agreed previously. No dishcloths/tea towels or washing up liquid.

Spacious room. Decent balcony with a clothes-hanger (if you need a laundry). BTW, there is a laundromat on site, 3 euro for load (so you can take less luggage for your trip!), drier is 4 euro - or you can use the balcony hanger for free ;) Proximity to train station (but: you can hear the "bip, bip, bip, bip" of trains closing doors from 6am to midnight, mind you). OK-ish breakfast, available until 10:30am, always nice staff.

People above me were a bit noisy (could hear every toilet flush, every walk, every...). Bit of disrepair, for example my sink was flooding, it was semi-fixed within 1 hour though (it was still leaking but much less - needed a bigger job, and the maintenance technician did what he could in a limited time). Once there was a large cockoach but it probably came from outside (place is clean). Oh, first night at 6:02am someone tried to enter my room - either someone drunk too much, or it was thieves - so remember to lock your door (entrance to the room is from the outside corridor).

This hotel is in a quiet and peaceful area. The train station is literally across the road, but it never disturbed our sleep. The train is on the same line as the airport, so no need to book a taxi. The hotel is on the Malaga to Fuengirola C1 line at Torremuelle and the fare was in March 2025 Euro 5.10 one way for a couple or E2.55 each. We used a visa card and pin to pay. Others were using their phone wallets. The hotel is relaxed, breakfast is from 08.00 with a good variety and a good coffee machine. We stayed on the first floor overlooking the pool and all the rooms are clean and in good order. Our room had a kettle, microwave, a double ceramic hotplate and a fridge with a small freezer. Our room also had a bath with shower over, a toilet, a bidet and sink. They clean the room every three days. There is Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and it's a good, strong signal which easily streamed our Netflix. In the basement there is a well-equipped gym. The staff are all very helpful, especially Alexandros! The nearest supermarket was a 10 minute walk away near a few bars and restaurants, all very reasonable!

Nothing springs to mind that we didn't like, perhaps the bed was a little hard and the pillows too soft, but it didn't spoil our 11 days here !!! :-)

Perfect time in Vive Costa Azul! We enjoyed our time here, as the location was easily accessible. The cleanliness of the hotel was next level, the room was just perfect - large and comfortable with a good view of the pool and the sea! The breakfast selection was quite decent and really tasty. Definitely 10/10!

The "free" parking that is advertised on Booking is not existant. There is a hotel parking which you can pay 10EUR per night, or as suggested by the receptionist, use the free parking right accross the street (which is basically parking for the Metro station).

The people of the hotel are always happy and joyful to help out with a smile; the studios are spacious and feel comfortable; the amenities of the gym and the parking and the heated pool are wonderful bonuses.

Depending on the side of the room there is peace and tranquillity; or rumours of street and people. And some of the residents are less selfless and share their noise (loud phone calls, music, doors slamming) generously with the hotel. Enhancement towards resident awareness of soundproof rooms would surely benefit (especially from neighbour to neighbour it’s really disturbing that you truly hear everything)
