Our room overlooked the River Seven and was large, comfortable and looked newly refurbished. There was plenty of literature describing the area and events & the hotel was only a 5 minute drive into the centre of Shrewsbury. We had dinner both nights and the choice was excellent, served quickly and the plates were warm keeping the food at a good temperature. Breakfast choice was very good and again served quickly. There is ample parking on site both in front and at the rear of the hotel.

Unfortunately, there is no lift to the rooms, so if you are in the very comfortable attic annex, its a climb up three flights of stairs which can be demanding if your carrying cases. Its location and I guess, its reputatation means that when the weather is good, parking can become a bit of a problem

This is an exceptional place to stay. The room is finished to a very high quality, everything was spotless, the beds supper comfy, there's aircon, the bathroom was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. Given rooms are above a restaurant/pub, there was no noise and we had a great night's sleep. Brrakfast was delicious, with endless coffee top ups. The best overnight stop I've ever had. Thank you!

If I'm being really picky, the restaurant layout & decor is a bit utilitarian. It didn't tempt me to stay longer than having my food, but that's my view. Clearly, given how busy it was, it doesn't detract others.

Great to find a good independant hotel these days, so few are left with the chains having taken over much of the sector. The Corbett arms was a refreshing change, the room was very clean, tidy, modern, well appointed and spacious, the staff were all very helpful and the food was very nice and reaosnably priced. Location by the riverside is very nice, with a car park, we did not venture into town as only staying one night on our way somewhere else and arrived quite late, but I think the town is within walking distance. Seemed popular with locals for food / drink which is always a good sign.

Amazing hotel we were made to feel most welcome immediately by the staff, our rooms looked newly refurbished and were spotless, pristine and comfortable. We had an amazing evening meal in the restaurant, absolutely delicious food and wine at reasonable prices. The location was only a couple of miles out of Shrewsbury town and perfect for exploring the area, lovely views over the river, and the hotel has a wonderful terraced outdoor area as well as a huge beer garden. We will definitely be returning and recommending it to family and friends.

We had a lovely stay at The Corbet Arms, we arrived before check in but we're told our room had been cleaned and were ready for us! Always a bonus. Very nice pub with a great beer garden, unfortunately we stayed in winter so didn't get chance to use it. Rooms were very modern and extremely clean we had a river view which was lovely to wake up to. Food was very nice and well priced. So glad we opted to stay just outside of Shrewsbury as its only a short taxi ride into town and this tranquil setting was just what we needed. Will definitely be going back!

The best thing of all was the staff who were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Service at meals was prompt and efficient. My room was large, well furnished and the bed was blissfully comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. I noticed that all the furniture was solid wood, not veneered chipboard. Mirrors were substantial and conveniently placed and the bathroom was large and well appointed with a good selection of toiletries. The food was first class and very reasonably priced. They even had one of my favourite ales on draught!

My only grumble was that it was a bit noisy at bedtime. Although the bedrooms were in a separate wing of the house, some sound penetrated from cheerful drinkers in the bar. There was also the usual drivel of pop tunes at breakfast, though the waitress did turn down the volume when I asked her.

Spotlessly clean, very quiet- remarkable given the fact that it's a popular pub, but I was only there late at night while attending a wedding. Good aircon as open windows not advised due to proximity of River Severn and bugs. Filling breakfast.

I was hopeful of getting a meal, having not been fed at the wedding pre-drinks and being back by 925pm but kitchen had closed. Helpful barman did say i could order in but made do with liquid dinner and bagged snacks instead.

We love this hotel. Excellent food, really delicious. And the staff are fantastic, always so pleasant and cheerful and eager to help. This extends to the cleaning staff, who are really lovely. The hotel is about 2 miles outside Shrewsbury, so walkable if you're feeling up to it. Lots of great bars and restaurants in the town, but the food at the hotel is great. There is a lovely terrace and steps down to a peaceful beer lawn by the river.

We love Room 5 but unfortunately couldn't have it this time. Instread we were in Room 7 which is tiny, dark and very stuffy, possibly the worst room in the place. Over the years, we've stayed in a number of other rooms, all of them have been great, but we drew the short straw this time sadly. This will not stop us from staying there again, but next time we will specify NOT Room 7. The staff's advice was to use their website as a specific room can be chosen when booking, Which is what we will do for next time.

The owners clearly have pride in making sure their property is clean and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable and the location was quiet. There is a restaurant downstairs and the food was delicious. You can also spend time in the back sitting along the river.

We had to climb several flights of stairs with our bags to get to the room, which is not a criticism but it’s something to be aware of if you’re not able to carry your bag.

Myself and my friends were unable to take breakfast due to our having to leave early, this was not the fault of the hotel. However it did smell great. The service in the bar and restaurant was very good, pleasant and helpful staff. The room exceeded my expectations for the money I paid especially compared to my friends. I am going to visit with my wife and will be back next year. Hopefully I'll get the same room.

There was nothing I can say, the lights in the beer garden were a little bright but I am being picky. They went off so no problem.
