Easy access using the key safe with great communication. The room had a double bed and a single bed, perfectly clean, modern and comfortable. The building retains the old charm, with the modern retro-fitted rooms inside. The Coaching Barns is motel-style with parking at the front doors of the rooms and is behind a pub. The night we spent there was very quiet. A small fold-up table and chairs was provided, along with cutlery and crockery, so we were able to make ourselves breakfast from supermarket provisions. This accommodation is very good value.

The single bed was not as comfortable as the double bed.

The Coaching Barn we stayed in was absolutely lovely. The key safe was easy to find and access. When we opened the door we were wow'd by what we saw. Very clean and tidy entrance, bathroom and bedroom. The pictures do not do it justice. The TV provided was perfectly positioned for watching it in bed. You are provided with tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits by a kettle. The plates, bowls, mugs and cutlery were very convenient. We even had a mini fridge and table with 2 chairs! The bed was extremely comfortable with the nicest pillows I think I've ever slept on. We were very happy with our stay and will definitely be recommending to family and friends. Excellent value for money too and we loved that we had our own front door to lock behind us. Like a little home from home. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Nothing to complain about at all!

This was a very last minute booking. We were delighted with the accommodation. It was light,airy,spacious and super clean. Very good attention to detail with lots of thoughtful touches. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in ,away from home with great pillows. The en suite was well organised and modern. The property is at Wem,a village about 20 mins from Shrewsbury. Free parking right outside your front door and a short drive gets you to Harlescote Park and Ride.

Location was excellent as all that was required was a clean place to stay in Wem, I have stayed at The Coaching Barns previously for a fortnight and was extremely satisfied - the next year I could not stay as it was already completely booked by a wedding group- a great shame as we were not impressed by the other accomodation -- BUT HURRAH , we were back at Jackie's this year and marvellous it was.

Comfy bed, well located for the train station, lovely big warm shower. Local Co-Op store just a few minutes walk away and we'd recommend Wem Pizzaland for a top value takeaway. Great selection of drinks and biscuits (no teabags though) and we had everything we could possibly have needed.

It's closer to the pub than we expected (but that said, we went to bed at 9pm and were not woken by noise from the pub at all). The bathroom bin hadn't been emptied but otherwise perfectly clean. We would stay again!

The property was really lovely, a large bedroom area with a comfortable bed, tv and all important mirror. There was a hairdryer (in case you forget yours!) and even a corkscrew and bottle opener. Nice touch there was cutlery and plates and bowls in case you wanted a takeaway. The room we stayed in had a fridge and chairs for outside located in a small hallway, which led to the bathroom. Easy checking, with a key box. The property was decorated really nice and was really clean and spacious

Nothing, it was lovely

Clean, smart, accommodating management, late check in, great price, great WIFI, perfect communication and instructions/supporting information.

Were quite loud guests in the bar until late, but we stayed on a Friday night and were aware of the nearby pub. It wasn't that bad and didn't continue too late. Next door neighbour had a foreign radio station on literally all night which was a little annoying but still got a good sleep regardless as the room, bed, linen and pillows were very clean and comfy.

When we arrived we had a smell of drains or sewer fumes in the room. We used the perfume spray to improve the air quality. By morning the smell had gone but it made dropping off to sleep difficult. This would not stop us booking again as we understand sometimes these situations are unpredictable and are of no fault of the owners.

When we arrived there was an issue with the room but one quick phone call with the owner and sorted straight away, no issues. Parking was very tight; no spaces available when we arrived at 5pm on Sunday. Parking was available when we left at 7am on the Monday. Room was good size for a night stay. Had lots that you needed; kettle, hair dryers, fridge. Nice clean bathroom, good size. Bed was comfy and clean.

My 3rd stay at this property this year & I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. I travel 4hrs up the country to a nearby motocross track for work as a photographer & I need a good night sleep which I always have here. The property owner contacted me a few days prior to let me know there was a town carnival going on & made sure I was aware of the road closures. The town carnival looked fabulous & even the pub next door was packed with people & live music. Now I’m not sure if I’m a heavy sleeper but I didn’t hear a thing once in my room & the event was completely finished by 11pm. Room & bathroom is ALWAYS pristine clean & always an added bonus to have a mini fridge. Thank you very much & I look forward to staying again in February!
