Recent refurbishment gave room a clean and pleasant feel and modern bathroom/shower with pleasant wall panels was very nice and clean. Vanity unit and new towel rails was also good.
Although the inn has been nicely revamped and decorated to, for us there were two big no, nos. The breakfast area was quite small and when we arrived other guests had brought their dogs in too. We were not happy to share our dining space with three dogs whether they are well behaved or not. Also the Burlton has stopped offering a cooked breakfast which is really really disappointing. The continental breakfast was not suitable for me as a diabetic but being unaware of this menu change we had not made alternative arrangements so breakfast was extremely limited. Evening meals do offer a much better choice.

Excellent rooms and friendly staff. We stayed one night for a wedding nearby. Dogs are welcome to stay here too. Lovely location. The breakfast is continental with lots of variety from cereals to pastries.
The bar doesnt open until 5pm and couldn't order food until then. The majority of nearby pubs only serve food until 2pm also, so if you're after a late lunch, you may be disappointed. The bar staff were super helpful in taking preorders for when the kitchen did open. The location is quite rural; its best to prebook taxis if you are attending a function like we did.

The room was very spacious as was the bathroom but that was a little tired and really needed replacing. The bar and restaurant were welcoming as was the Landlord and the young lady waiting on. The food was very good especially the Gorgonzola with Figs for a starter. Lovely and not something I have seen on a menu before. My breakfast was fine but my husband loves poached eggs, which weren't available and the scrambled was not the best.
There were an awful lot of cobwebs in the bedroom and bathroom. Could just have done with and quick brush down with a feather duster and worse for me as I am NOT a big fan of spiders.

Nicely located in a semi rural area just outside Shrewsbury
There was no cooked breakfast and that was not clear when booking … Booking in - although stated was from 4pm it wasn’t clear that no one was around before that when booking - so there was no access to the property … None of the above is a problem as long as these facts are put in front of you at the point of booking as they are key to whether to book or not …🤷🏼♂️

Excellent value for money and included cooked breakfast served by friendly staff. Enjoyed a delicious meal in the pub on arrival which was freshly cooked with generous portions. Lovely bedding and nice aroma in the bedroom. Good location for stopover on our journey further north.
Only mirrors were in bathroom so although I could have used my hairdryer in the bedroom, there was no mirror to check what I was doing. There was a wall mounted hairdryer in the bathroom but the power/ airflow was rubbish. I did manage with this hairdryer but if I'd have been getting ready for an important occasion it wouldn't have been upto the job

Made to feel very welcome by Debbie the owner. Despite turning up on Valentine's Day with full bookings for meals Debbie spoke to the chef and an early meal was made for me. Evening meal and breakfast were both excellent as was the friendliness of all staff. The location was a perfect stopover as I was viewing properties nearby. The accommodation is on the opposite side of the car park and has been very nicely done.
All good, nothing I didn't like. If I was being highly critical then maybe just a freshen up of paint in the accommodation but I feel confident that this will be on the planned maintenance.

Options for toast, crumpets, cereal, pure orange and apple juice at the self serve stand. Then you can order from the hot breakfast menu (included in price of your stay) Full english or vegi/vegan option. Cooked to order. Unlimited tea and coffee too. Staff were really friendly and helpful.
This isnt a criticism of the place at all. Its just more of a heads up for anyone planning on coming here. Make sure you ask the inn for taxi numbers before you arrive and pre book taxis. They take a while!

A nice 'old world ' Inn with a modern accommodation annexe in a village close to Sleap Aerodrome. Quiet location. The room was nicely decorated (neutral) and furnished with no cleanliness issues. The restaurant is in the adjoining Inn with a comprehensive menu . Helpful pleasant staff, adequate car parking, good value for money with a continental breakfast included .
Nothing comes to mind .

The room was clean and comfortable and we were able to check in early which was really helpful. The pub was lovely and had a really rustic feel to it, owners very friendly , food great and breakfast very nice.
The bathroom needed updating , bath panel cracked and the hairdryer was something from the seventies , also broken but just about usable . If you have long hair , forget it , you would be there all day .

The hotel was in a quiet location with the rooms located in a separate building to the pub. For a one night stay, the room was warm and comfortable. Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits provided. The continental breakfast was good with enough choice, tea and coffee plentiful. There was a restaurant had we needed it.
There was nothing we didn't actually like but the positioning of the plug sockets was awkward.
