Friendly, informative welcome. All the staff were engaging. The room was very clean. The food wasn’t to my liking but was to a good standard, my partner enjoyed his food. The pub was very busy but we heard no noise in our room. Checking out was simple and straight forward and again staff were very friendly. All in all we were very impressed.
There is no car park attached to the premises but the staff were very helpful in giving us the postcode of the nearest car park which was very cheap and only a 2 minute walk away.

room was very pleasant bar staff young lady was very friendly. very clean rooms and hotel outside and inside excellent in appearance
the beds were not that comfortable ok for 1/2 nights tho. had to run the cold water tap for a while until it came out cold. breakfast was bit poor on the selection side. checking in lady was slightly aloof however she did engage more into our stay the guy that was on at night slightly creepy did not make any eye contact was very lacking in communication lady that served us in the bar area before we transferred to dining areas was lovely friendly and helpful young lady that served our drinks was also very nice

Great value for money, superb location right in the centre of historic Spalding, with parking right outside. The Red Lion is a buzzy friendly pub with hotel accommodation. Our room was beautifully clean and well furnished, breakfast was a continental buffet with plenty of choice and the option of a hot sausage roll - Lincolnshire sausage naturally and very tasty. The only downside was the lack of a dinner option in the hotel but Spalding is well served with a variety of restaurants in easy walking distance. The choice of drinks in the bar is very good and the friendliness of the staff adds to the general ambiance. We were very pleased with our choice and we both thought the Red Lion to be excellent value for money.
No evening dining option.

The room (4) was very comfortable and clean...good tea making facilities and very nice towels and toiletries. Comfy bed.
No one's fault- but a little noisy with entertainment below....we fully understand. The early morning wake up to the noisy sound of tables and chairs being returned to the room below was a bit of shock! But this is the other side of the hotel's life isn't it ?....perhaps room number 4's future occupants need a little warning if entertainment is taking place during their stay.

Rooms were modern and well presented wiith tea / coffee making facilities. Nice shower. Staff very friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced car park two minutes walk away. Breakfast for £5 extra include cereal/ snacks buffet and a freshly cooked bacon or sausage roll. Perfect place to stay for a short trip.
This is a town centre hotel above a pub, so do not expect views from your rooms or peace and quiet, then you won't be disappointed 👍

Location - excellent Central location for access to local amenities and restaurants. Clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.
Trade off for an excellent central location is that it was very noisy during late evening and early hours of the morning outside which woke us up. We stayed on a Saturday evening when it was Spalding Flower Parade so would have been busier than usual. Weather was hot so had to leave window open. Much quieter when window was closed. Fan didn’t work in the room. No on site parking but a convenient, local car park a couple of minutes away.

Really friendly staff nothing was to much trouble. Location was great we were attending a wedding in the Sessions House & Hotel was only 4 minute walk away Parking only short walk away and £2.50 for 24hours. Breakfast was great value continental cereals, toast, porridge pastries etc + egg and bacon roll + coffee/ Tea for £5
Nothing really, If I was being picky 6 or us stayed in 3 rooms and the bed in one room was a bit creaky

Fantastic town centre location, which is why we chose this hotel. The room was comfortable with plenty of space for our small dog. Everyone was very friendly and the food and list of real ales were a very pleasant bonus.
It was quite noisy at night, until about 1am - but its town centre and the pub is very popular, so we did expect there to be some noise. We would have liked to have had the choice of a cooked breakfast, but we do understand that the weekend we booked was an exceptionally busy time for the pub. Parking near the pub was tricky on arrival to unload as the town centre is pedestrianised and the terms of when / where cars had access and where to park and for how long parking was allowed wasn't easy to find online. Loading up when leaving was easier as short-term parking was then allowed nearby.

Stayed in deluxe family room with en-suite and shower. Room super clean, bright, uncluttered, comfortable bed with nice linen. Room spacious with seating area and enough room for 2 adults, and 2 dogs and their beds. Good quality toiletries, welcome tray/hot drink making facilities. Enjoyed a lovely evening meal in the dog friendly bar. Friendly.
Nothing, exceeded our expectations.

The hotel was really nice. Staff were friendly and polite. Ate in and enjoyed the food. Slept well inn a warm, clean room. Shower was fab.
Having arrived tired with little energy, I was a bit dismayed at being put on the second floor with two heavy cases to take up. However one of the staff helpfully carried a case upstairs - I was very relieved and grateful.
