It’s very convenient for an overnight stop when visiting family etc. It doesn’t have any ‘frills’ but does have everything necessary. No meals on offer but that isn’t a problem as jts easy to bring necessary breakfast food etc. Comfortable bed & enough space to move around.

The shower doesn’t have a shower screen Alf any sort which does mean that if you have a normal shower stream the whole bathroom is likely to flood. Car park entrance is on a strange junction & care has to be taken to exit it. Unfortunately on a previous visit we had someone run into us whilst we were sitting waiting to exit! We were very careful on this visit visit!

The king suite is such a gorgeous room, all the furnishing and accessories were lovely. The walk in shower was very spacious and clean. Did not realise till we got there that there is a little kitchen with a microwave and kettle! Location: Was very easy to park and access. Local shops and amenities nearby. Quick response from staff as well if you have any questions. No window but powerful fan provided - great for a summer stay. Would book again!

Could not access the Wi-Fi for the TV or any other devices with the details given. Not an issue for a short stay but something to consider if you are looking at staying longer. Staff advised the router is located in another room, maybe just a connecting issue depending on the room you book.

All 3 of our rooms were comfortable and clean. Great water pressure on the showers and no issues with hot water. Comfy beds and bedding. Clean kettles provided, along with complimentary tea bags, coffee, etc., and bottled water. Nice to have a full-length mirror in each room, hairdryer, and plenty of electric sockets. Excellent value rooms; basic, but clean and well thought out to provide everything you need. They'd even thought to provide each room with an electric fan, which was a nice touch, given the current heatwave. I'm not sure if they were also heaters, as I'd brought my own, so didn't actually use. Free parking with cctv, right outside the rooms. We also appreciated having seating in the courtyard, outside the rooms. We'd definitely stay again.

Onsite parking which is rare for market Rasen, the location was aesthetically pleasing and the rooms may have only been small but felt spacious and had everything you could need. The rooms felt incredibly clean and the walk in shower was lovely. Checking in was easy and staff replied to my queries promptly. For the price the value for money felt reasonable and overall I am extremely happy with my stay!

You had to run the water through for over 5 minutes before you got hot water. You are contacted midday of your check in day with the check in details however I was not made aware of this until I contacted the day before, the location would benefit from sending out an automated email upon booking saying when you will receive checking in details to avoid confusion

This was exactly what I was looking for - I just wanted a comfortable, quiet bed overnight in the area with a private bathroom. The fuss-free check-in and check-out was a bonus. The rooms are very much like walking into a small hotel room in a city, except instead of a door in from a hallway, its a door in from the outside - as shown in the photos. The facilities are modest, but exactly what is needed - hanging space, basic bathroom toiletries, wall-mounted tv, kettle, tea and coffee, hairdryer, clean comfy bed and towels. Shower is powerful with a large adjustable head (height and setting). room is already warm on arrival, but also has air conditioning if needed. Slept soundly! 100% will stay again if in the area. I was not expected to have lengthy back-and-forth exchanges by messages prior to my one-night stay, but the owner contact me regularly enough to keep me informed of the status of my booking and room, which relieved anxiety I sometimes have that I have missed something important. Check in was simple - I was messaged the code for the key safe, as well as a helpful message letting me know to park considerately as the car park would be full, and information about restaurants in the immediate vicinity with their phone numbers, urging me to consider booking to avoid disappointment. I was very grateful for the reminder and additional help to simplify the process. I checked out early morning by simply leaving the key in the safe, but unfortunately I left a sentimental piece of jewellery behind - I contact them by text and they quickly responded to say the cleaner had found it, and arranged to leave it in a safe place for me to collect later that day.

They're struggling a little with black mould in places, as expected with the room opening directly to the outdoors, and a shower with a fan that can be turned off by the occupant. It is regularly cleaned from these areas so I wasn't concerned about spores etc and and as I struggle with it in my own home I'm aware its difficult to eradicate fully. I would say if you're someone who likes to spend a lot of time in your hotel enjoying the amenities while away from home, this may not be the right sort of accommodation for you. This is perfect for people whose trip is about being in the area and are looking for a good value place to stay, and don't want to pay more for amenities they're not going to use!

Very convenient & exceptionally well catered, clean & comfortable inside. Parking just outside, ironing facilities & tea coffee, bottled water in the room , with a comfy bed too - excellent. It's not a huge room but perfect for a stop off or a base to explore the area from. This will certainly stay as my preferred place to stay in Market Raden & I will happily recommend to friends & colleagues.

It was a tad difficult to use the full length mirror where it is positioned - would be easier if placed on inside of bathroom door possibly - but just a minor thing.

The property was very well situated in a quiet spot with off road private parking. It was easy to let yourself in following the instructions sent by email, The room was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean and fitted out with everything you need, including free bottled water.. The bed was very comfortable ensuring a great nights sleep. We could not fault anything and can highly recommend The Olive as a great place for a stopover and great value for money.

Perfect location for a race day. We were given room 6, a very large room beautifully decorated. Very clean. Large tv. Good hospitality tray with bottles of water. Unusual open plan bathroom with a fabulous shower. Although no food is available at The Olive, we found excellent breakfast and evening meal a short walk away. The owners have out a lot of thought into making guests feel comfortable. On a main road but still slept very well. We would certainly book again if we return for the races .

I liked the room and layout. It was very clean and comfortable. I liked that you could make tea/ coffee and there was bottled water. It was also well equipped with extra towels, a quilt, iron and board and a heater.

I expected a reception or someone on site. It may well have been in the information sent to me but I was unaware of the set up and walked around several times before realizing I had to walk into the courtyard/car park and there was no reception.

Comfortable, unpretentious accomodation. Easy access. Good shower apart from it having a rather loud vibration hum at many flow-rates. Some noisy people in the car-park for a while, but they were gone before my bed-time, so my sleep was peaceful. This was my 3rd booking at the Olive and I'd be happy to stay here again.

There was nothing that I especially disliked, but if the shower could be persuaded to 'hum' less that would be a an improvement.
