Breakfast was excellent and was freshly made every morning. It was quiet and there was plenty of space to relax and great cooking facilities in which we often felt at home to make our own lunch or dinner and eat there. We have got to know our host and come back year after year. The location is handy for the in laws, it is not close to the city centre but it is quiet. Good place for families.

It would be handy to shower gel and shampoo provided. The shower was great but it would overflow a little, it just needed to be unblocked. In the room the shutters was great at blocking out the light but they would open inwards during the day. This meant our 3 year old was just the right height to bang her head on the corners.

It's a home away from home. Plenty of comfortable spaces to relax, freedom to use the kitchen and make yourself a coffee. Loved that there was space to read a book while watching the kids in the pool. We had a family room that was cozy and good size for the 6 of us. Easy access to Leiria and great restaurants. Lovely breakfast, great hosts! We'll definitely come back here.

No downsides

- The place was usually quiet and plenty of nice places to relax in the sun or the shade (or in the - It was hot so the pool was great to cool down. - It is a place we know well and we have got to know Phillipa and Lucinda well as this is now the 4th time we have come. - We enjoyed the freshly made breakfast rolls with ham and cheese, and croissants with homemade jam and the orange juice was sweet and delicious (like a lot of places in Portugal). - Spacious room

- The shutter handles in our room were about to break but still worked. - The bed could be more comfortable - Breakfast could be more varied - it was the same 5 years ago - to keep us coming back again and again, - Now could do with some minor repairs in the house eg some cracked tiles in the bathroom, and the banister on stairs was wobbly.

Overall a great place to stay, the room looked hygienic enough, the only weird thing is that we were not able to see anyone, in the physical sense, to check-in. It seems a bit distant. When we checked-in we received multiple messages with instructions and this seems a bit weird. The owner was friendly and helpful and the staff-member, preparing the meals, was extremely kind. Only downers were: location (quite far from the centre), distant check-in via a phone, and there were some flies in the house, but as an overal a great place clean and had all the facilities.

It was amazing. i went with big family with kids,we enjoyed a lot with breakfast swimming pool and billiard table .everything as clean and the house as designed really cool.there was everything to spent great time on your vacation at home:D

The breakfast was freshly made every day. The pool and the deck were the stars of the house because it is private, calm and relaxing.

- We enjoyed sitting by the poolside. - The bed was comfortable - We have been going here several times so know that we enjoy it. - Fresh orange juice at breakfast - Our host was very helpful and made us feel at home

- There were many other children there and they were noisy sometimes, so we didn't always get a good night's sleep. - The breakfast was more limited with less choice

We stayed for 1 night, arriving late evening and leaving very early morning so didn’t use much that was offered, but room was spacious, bathroom clean and large, swimming pool could use some cleaning

Absolutely beautiful house and gardens! Such comfortable beds, the best we’ve had in Portugal. Impeccably clean. Very friendly and accommodating when we arrived late. Let’s not forget the gorgeous pool too!
