I loved everything. This time was our second time in Monte Real Termas & Spa, and not only that hotel is huge and beautiful, it really fits our needs. Rooms are cozy and comfortable, breakfast is very good, the staff is amazing. The hotel has a restaurant and a bar, and we loved the food and the option to have everything there in case we didn't want to leave the hotel. There is a mini pool for children, really close to the outdoor bar, which works perfectly for me. The hotel offers pool towels that you can change every day, There is a room with toys for children, my daughter and my nephew loved it. The spa is not expensive at all for what it is, you get 2h of turkish bath, sauna, pool , jacuzzi and aromatic showers for only 18 euros. Not sure if it always the case, but I was alone in spa during the entire time for 2 hours, just relaxing and charging my batteries. There are plenty other amenities that we haven't got to experience yet, free bicycles, mini golf, termas, etc. However, we will be back for sure and try it out.

There are a lot of flies outside, next to the pool, which can be annoying. Not sure what the reason is, and if the hotel is doing enough to prevent it. This time we stayed during village festivities, and we had a room facing the pool, so we suffered from loud noise almost every night until 3-4 am.. Nothing could be done about that's the stage was across the hotel

The property is clean, manicured beautifully, and very well kept. The building is beautiful! The rooms are laid out in a marble like stone with dark wood that give the effect of richness. I did not see a blemish. The staff are incredible! They treat every customer like royalty and go out of their way to assist where they can. A couple of people worth mention. Diego who works in the restaurant and bar. Superb individual! Very professional and makes an excellent whisky sour! Jośe, who worked on the front desk. Bridgette, who worked in the dining room who was pleasant and very professional as well. There were others!

The property is hard to find! Our Uber driver, a local, got lost and drove around the countryside trying to get to the village. To their credit, I phoned the staff and they sorted the situation out.

Everything. The greeting on our arrival was friendly. The man who checked us in apologised for being a bit slow because it was only the second time he had done it, but we were quite happy with the service from him. Breakfast was plentiful. We ate in the hotel three evenings running. The food was very tasty, and the staff was friendly. We couldn't fault anything. Parking was covered, which was great because it rained a lot during our stay.

Nothing. Everything was just lovely.

Absolutely loved the stay at the Monte Real hotel! Its the best family friendly hotel we’ve stayed at so far! They have an animal farm, baby play room, table tennis, playstation room, inflatable castle, activities for kids, besides the regular swimming pool and spa. The staff is very friendly and flexible! (we asked to checkout later since our toddler only starts his nap at 12pm) Great overall experience! Would love to come back sometime in the future!

First and foremost, you're surrounded by nature. If you are planning to recharge your batteries, this is the perfect place to do it. Can't recommend the restaurant enough, we didn't feel like going out for dinner and it was the best decision we made. PS, if you do eat in, try the Raffaelos. They are otherworldly.

That's not on the hotel itself but on the location, but Monte Real has very little to offer. However, if you're just planning to stay in and use the facilities, this stops being a problem. The minigolf was lacking in maintenance.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. Of course, the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful with beautiful views of nature. The town of Monte Real is also very very charming. What really stands out though is the kindness of the entire staff. They were so helpful and considerate throughout our entire stay. I would also like to mention that the quality of the food in the restaurant was brilliant and such a great selection for both the dinner/breakfast buffet and the a-la-carte options.

Do not have very much to comment on here. Overall the stay was great. The only thing that if I want to be picky is that although the team is very accommodating with any missing items (such as a phone charger, toiletries, sewing kits, etc), they do not deliver to the room and we had to go to the front desk to pick them up. Not an issue at all but had to keep my kids alone in the room when we had to run down.

Good size rooms with comfortable beds. Friendly breakfast crew. Refreshing lemonade in the reception area - a nice welcoming touch upon arrival. Central position; nice for a walk around the town. Lively area - other bars/ cafés in the area.

Food and beverage staff tend to 'hide' out of sight; you then hear them, mostly having a great time (sometimes there are discussions), but there is no line of sight/ eye contact possible. You often have to go fetch them from some passage leading (probably) to the kitchen area...

The only think that was not excelent was the bed, it was not bad, but it could be better

I was doing a walking pilgrimage from Aveiro to Our Lady of Fatima. Most hotels along the route were all fully booked for my first night stay so I found this one. It was 20kms off my route but it was so worth it. The hotel is beautiful. Very traditional and grand from the outside and wonderfully modern on the inside. Nice large rooms and very very large bathroom. This was perfect to get a good nights rest to restart my journey in the morning. Also if i had more time the whole town is super cute and will likely come back and visit again with more time to explore.

i was a bit disappointed that by the time i got there at 10pm the hotel restaurant was closed. I ordered room service but because the hotel restaurant was closed i was only able to get a couple of sandwiches to choose from.

Spacious rooms and very clean and well maintained hotel and green area around it. Beautiful spots just for the walks around. Spa area very relaxing and quiet

Breakfast could have bit more veggie choices and I'll suggest better pillows menu for the rooms.
