I read a lot of reviews before our 8 nights stay in the hotel, and happy to admit, that I didn't believe to some bad ones and we got our wonderful days there. The hotel is located in a nice place, 5 minutes by car from Lucca (also public transportation is available) , rooms are clean, own pool, which is cleaner every day , about 20- 25 m long. The parking is free, the outer gate is centrally close at midnight. Yes, the hotel inside is not comparable with 5 starts hotels in Dubai, but Italy vacation different from Dubai , China or US. It is for us about heritage and nice, cozy family atmosphere. Owner and his team are doing the best, to make your vacation unforgettable , with a lot of advises about places to visit in Toscana and helping by choosing best restaurants in the area and also by reservations. Happy to return back next year.

there is no dinner offered , but we didn't missed it , because had a car and possibility to visit different places in Lucca and Viareggio. For those, who need a dinner, it is served in an hotel opposite, 3 minutes walk from it.

The hotel is a very beautiful and interesting building with historic connections. Our room was a suite with traditional soft furnishings and other traditional decoration. The bed was extremely comfortable.Breakfast was simple but offered variety. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. There was no restaurant but with notice there was evening food available. We were directed to other local restaurants if necessary, within walking distance. We travelled without a car but the bus services were excellent and on time. We could also have walked from the hotel to the city. The gardens are mature and delightful. The pool is large with shade if required, unheated but very usable even in mid September.

Veronica and Torres went above and beyond to make our stay at Resort Dei Limoni truly memorable. Whether it was providing pizza when all the nearby restaurants were closed, offering valuable local knowledge and recommendations, or kindly letting us in late at night (apologies again, Torres!), their friendliness and helpfulness were greatly appreciated. While the décor of the hotel may feel a bit dated, the property itself is exceptionally clean and well maintained. The breakfast, though simple, is satisfying, and Veronica makes an excellent coffee. Conveniently, there’s a bus stop right outside the hotel that takes you to both Pisa and Lucca in about 15-20 minutes. Plus, there's a bakery nearby with a great selection of sweet treats. Don’t be put off by older reviews—this hotel has a lot to offer!

One small issue was the consistency of the Wi-Fi. It worked well downstairs, but on the first floor, it was quite intermittent. Normally, this wouldn’t be a problem, but my phone’s 4G was also acting up during our stay.

this is a family owned and run resort with an amazingly beautifull garden setting the right atmosphere around the pool. the staff as well as the owner (Dr. Grassi) are proud and passionate about the resort which completes the experience of staying in such an antique manor house. Grassi: many thanks for the great lunch you prepared for us, and for taking such good care of us during our stay.

the restaurant (which on its own is a beautifull area where breakfast is served) is closed for dinner. I hope you get it open as soon as possible. a small comment would be: the carpet in the room we stayed could be replaced.

So much! Like stepping into a fairy tale, this small boutique hotel has so much history, if only the walls could talk. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay here.

The room was cosy and looked very nice! The stuff was helpful and there was a beautiful garden outside. Magic place !
