Convienient parking, the room was clean, the staff were friendly. It was rather quiet. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was the best I've seen in a hotel.

The building interior has some cosmetic issues that give the impression that it is a lower standard hotel. The first thing I noticed was in the main hallway on the way to the elevator a large section of the wall was curvred inward. It appears as though maybe it was a bad repair job. The paint was bubbled and peeling in our room in a small section above the temperature control. The carpeting in the halls had stains. The body wash bottles in our shower were empty. Nothing that was a deal breaker. Like I said it just made the place look not up to standard.

This was our second stay because we were back in the area for a night and liked our time the week before! ;-) We liked the nice rooms, the front desk worker, the awesome breakfast, the bathtubs, the comfy beds and getting to stay on 5th floor!

no cinnamon rolls by the time we came for breakfast 8:30 so please order enough, and patrons go early to breakfast!

Loved the location and easy access to interstate. The front reception folks were great, the room was clean and smelled nice, beds were very comfortable, the breakfast was good and just a really good experience. And another plus, arriving at night in a snowstorm (hungry), they had frozen food options available in their Market that were really tasty and made for a perfect arrival for cold, tired travelers. GREAT place!

The bed was amazingly comfy and so were the pillows. The tv was great and it made me feel like home.

The location near the bridge seemed a little sketchy but the whole area / town seems a little rough around the edges anyways so I’m trying to overlook that it’s probably because I didn’t know much about the area in the first place. At the end of the day I was happy that my car was safe and the hotel felt safe and the stay more than made up for the location. Either way I’d definitely stay there again and again.

Most travelers probably have an idea of what to expect at a Holida Inn Express -- they wouldn't be surprised or disappointed here. Nothing exceptional -- but solid services/amenities.

We were in room 218 -- unless you are hard of hearing, avoid this room (and probably 318 & 418 too). It is right next to the elevator and is crazy loud especially early in the morning.

The hotel was fine--everything worked and the bed was comfortable enough. The staff was gracious and helpful. We had a good room with a view of the interstate.

Our only complaint...a small one. It was our first time in Charleston and we spent a lot of time driving in circles (one way streets) trying to find a restaurant. A small map of the area would have helped.

The breakfast was great. The location was great, we went the Jelly Roll concert and did not have to fight traffic to leave just walk across the road and your at the hotel. The staff was all very nice and helpful. And the hotel was very nice and clean.

There was nothing that we didnt like. We will definitely be staying there again when we come to Charleston for concerts.

It was so close to the things we wanted to do. The free breakfast was awesome. All the staff were super friendly.

You could see on the bedside table where previous guests had sat sticky drinks. I found out when I put my phone down & put my hand in it. And also the table(desk) had several hairs on it. I would guess someone had sat there & brushed their hair. Everything else was great.

Convenient to the activities we planned to do.

Laundry facility not available, stayed 2 nights, 9/9 and 9/11 and first day was significantly higher $$. I’ll be checking into that.

The location to the civic center was perfect, within walking distance. Breakfast was wonderful, always hot and fresh. Staff were so helpful with all questions that I had about the area, and recommended great restaurants for dinner.

Everything was great! Everything meet or exceeded my expectations.
